Barry is absolutely the best! We've been going to Barry for 7 years and could not be happier. Updating my review: we took my puppy to the vet to get his nails cut this week (first time since Princeton Grooming). The tech was unable to cut his nails because he was anxious and nipping uncontrollably. She was surprised because she's cut his nails in the past with no issue. She said it was obvious he was traumatized from the last clipping and recommended anti anxiety meds to be able to cut his nails. I can't emphasize enough to avoid this business at all cost, if I could report them for what they did I would. read more

Barry did a great job with our pup who was in desperate need of a hair cut! He was very thorough during our initial appointment consultation and asked a lot of questions to get to know her needs and typical hair situation. She looks great and we will definitely go back! read more

Barry came to my house to groom my 3 month old Shih Tzu Bichon. He set up and got right down to business. Max is so happy and looks absolutely adorable. He felt so at ease and safe in the comfort of our own home while getting groomed. Barry's services are worth every pretty penny as his work is nothing short of perfection. Take a look at the before and after picture of Max, doesn't he look beautiful? Nothing to worry about as he treated Max with such love and care. I highly recommend his services. :) read more

BARRY is amazing! Such a nice man and was really wonderful with helping me with my cats. My long hair CAT was very matted and I needed help to shave her. Barry and I spoke over the phone and realized we could work together as a team. He came to my house with his "tools of the trade" and together we helped my cat get back to feeling happy again. Barry was also able to cut my male cat's nails and I am forever grateful. It is very DIFFICULT to find a groomer willing to work with cats because, well, they have "cattitude" (not mine of course - LOL) and he was amazing! PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO CALL THEM. THEY ARE WONDERFUL. read more

I had to provide the space, the bathing place and the towel. He spent so much water that my Flo monitor shut off the water to the house and he didn't bother to ask me why that had happened. As a result he left the bathtub covered with dog hair. My 22 pound dog is super stoic but I kept hearing the guy yelling at him. He must have been mishandling and hurting him. And his charges were 50% more than what I used to pay at The Grooming Rigg before she shut down. read more

Barry did a phenomenal job with our hyper and very furry Welsh terrier Zoey. She went in nervous and looking like a sheep. She came out happy and looking fantastic. Barry listened to what we needed, was warm and friendly, and most of all does superb work. read more

Left my puppy with razor burns and the groomer showed no empathy, not happy with the how he handled the situation on hand.

Barry has been coming to my house to groom my cairn terroir for almost 4 years. He always does a wonderful job. She has a split paw, a congenital birth defect, and trimming her nails can be a nightmare, but Barry always takes such care and is very patient. The quality of his work is excellent, bar none! I would highly recommend him! read more

Barry is amazing! This was our first time taking our cockapoo puppy, Milo for his grooming and we were anxious as he had not been groomed in a while and had developed knots everywhere. Barry was great at explaining how he would go about the whole process and that helped calm me down. Barry took his time grooming Milo and went over and beyond making sure Milo was fully taken care of. Milo looked fantastic when Barry brought him out to my car - his hair wasn't cut too short and looked well groomed and clean. The products he used were definitely great as Milo had a nice soft coat and smelled amazing after the blueberry facial :) Barry took care of everything: ears, nails, hygiene, eyes were clean etc. I could tell Barry loves dogs and is very knowledgeable and experienced. Also the price was reasonable for the care and time Barry took to groom Milo. Very happy with the service and I highly recommend. read more

I called Princeton Grooming because one of our three cats had quite a bit of matting and needed to be trimmed down. Barry came in, set up and got down to business. The first (aforementioned) cat got a lion cut and nail trimming, the second cat got a good brush down as well as a nail trim, and the third cat got a nail trim. Barry was careful in dealing with the animals and tried his best to make the job fast (anyone with cats will know that they hate being groomed). While the cats didn't really appreciate the grooming (anyone with cats will know), I am happy that their coats were attended to, their nails clipped, and cleaned. The price was fair and the in-home service is convenient, especially if you own more than one pet. I would definitely use his services again. read more

GiGi, our darling 12 pound Brussels Griffon, is so excited to be groomed by Barry she welcomes him at the front door! I took my cockapoo to Barry after receiving a recommendation from a local dog supply store. I have tried other groomers in the area and was so pleased to find Barry. He did a beautiful job, was very communicative, and clearly takes pride in what he does. My sometimes high strung dog came home looking amazing, as well as very calm and relaxed. I highly recommend Princeton Grooming! read more

Surprisingly good deal. For the price of a better grooming salon, the owner or his son comes to your house, and you can either leave him alone or watch and chat while he works. So you have far more input into the style of the cut and real-time feedback than at a salon. Plus, this eliminates the possibility of your dog's being traumatized, and it's much more convenient. For the first-time cut of my 75-lb dog, the groomer spent over 3 hours in total, working continuously. Good value for money, and highly recommended. read more

Barry is the ONLY groomer we will ever work with! He has been with us for all three of our dogs. He is reliable, careful, compassionate and provides extra attention to dogs with special circumstances. When our shihtzu lost his eye, we were devastated. Barry came by several times after surgery to help us carefully manage the phasing in of our dog's shaved and wounded face/head. Our shihtzu is now better than ever and everyone comments on how great he looks. Importantly Barry has shown time and again that cares about our dog's overall safety and wellbeing, and he recognizes the importance of our pets as family members. In home grooming at a great price with total confidence and consideration read more

Princeton Grooming is the best! I contacted Barry asking for availability and he got back to me quickly with multiple dates and times that worked with my schedule. He arrived, set up his equipment, and assessed my puppy. He even allowed me to sit and watch while he trimmed and bathed my dog. Barry takes the time to cut and care for my dog as if it were his own. After, I asked if he could trim a certain part of my dog's coat shorter, and he stayed--without question--and cut his coat until I was fully satisfied. With Princeton Grooming, your dog is in great hands. read more

Princeton Grooming - Sophie loves her new haircut! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Princeton Junction, New Jersey

I called Barry because of his amazing reviews on Yelp. Barry was super accommodating to my schedule, and came to my home to groom my dog Max. Barry took his time grooming Max, and didn't rush. I would highly recommend Barry to anyone looking for a new groomer. Being able to watch my dog get groomed was amazing. I will NEVER take him to a grooming chain again. Thank you Barry! read more

I found Princeton Groomers via Yelp. As a new dog mom to only a 4 pound Yorkie rescue, I was very particular about who could take care of my boy. Barry comes into the home with such a professional, yet friendly manner. He sets up a tarp to protect your floors and has his own groomer's table. I felt comfortable leaving him alone with my dog, as he was so gentle and kind. I could hear him sweetly saying "good boy! you are a nice doggy." Barry provided a lot of consultation, which was so helpful because there were some things about my rescue that he brought to my attention, better prepping me for our first vet visit. Another outstanding aspect to our appointment was that he actually vacuums after, too! There is zero mess left behind. He is also extremely knowledgable about dogs in general, and clearly a dog lover. He left us with his contact card, letting us know to never hesitate to reach out if I had questions or concerns. While I definitely plan to use him again, I appreciated that he wasn't pushy for us to set up our next appointment, which is something I experienced with my other dogs and other groomers. Barry is A+ and I would highly recommend him-- and only him-- to any small dog owner. Thanks Barry! read more
