Dog n Bone British Pub - Pubs Near Me - Cocoa, Florida

I can't speak to the weekend crowd and vibe, but for a post-work drink, this was a great spot! I got the green tea bag which is exactly like a green tea shot with different proportions (and meant to be sipped on). It was refreshing and delicious. Bartender was friendly, interior decor is funky and British, and bathrooms were clean. They also have a pool table and saw some people playing while we were there. read more

I came here before and ordered the Jell-O shots which left my stomach hurting and I wasn't feeling okay. I don't remember having any other shot even though I feel like I did. I do plan on coming back to give it another try for a better experience. It's a nice little pub with great ambiance and the service wasn't bad. She even offered me something on the house. read more

What a cute little British pub in the heart of Cocoa Village. Lots of beers on tap and even more in bottles; plus they have hard liquor! The decor is British and the walls are full of all kinds of cute signs. We visited in October & they went a all out with fun spooky Halloween decorations! They also have darts, a pool table, other bar games, and lots of parking nearby. They have a friendly staff of bartenders who have worked there for years. They don't serve food; but you can bring food in from one of the many neighboring restaurants and cafes. My husband and I ordered food from a place a block away and enjoyed it with some cold beers right at the bar. It's such a friendly place; even dogs are welcome. We were greeted by the owner's dog, Petunia; who is a perfect pint-sized hostess! This is a great place to enjoy a cold beverage after a day of shopping in Cocoa Village! Great for locals, tourists, and anybody who enjoys having a beer or cocktail between the hours of noon and 2 a.m......they also have daily & nightly specials and events, (karaoke, Tequila Tuesday, Rugby Nite, trivia, etc,). Check it out if you're in Cocoa Beach! M read more

Stopped in for a minute on St. Patties day pub crawl. All was good, the band was playing inside and everyone was having a good time. It was a young crowd and the door guy was kept busy checking ID's. You can bring your dog here, they love dogs. Since it was a holiday of sorts, we were able to sit outside on some benches and bring our drinks with us. I don't know if you can normally do this but it was nice to get out of the crowd inside, enjoy our drinks and still listen to the music. read more

Nice British style pub. A reasonable assortment of beers on tap, but not exceptional. A nice comfortable place to sit for a bit, have a couple of drinks and a cigar. No food consumed or seen. They are also especially accommodating to dogs. There is a bowl of water available. They do seem to have some dog owners as fans, we met some last time but not this time. That particular dog had a thing for coasters. He would come up to your table and steal your coaster if it was accessible. read more

The pour is great and the staff is usually friendly. Great little pub with a nice selection of tap beer and a cocktails. You can throw darts, shoot pool, hit up the upstairs dance floor and just chill downstairs and listen to the live performers. A great place to hangout. read more

Dog n Bone British Pub - Pubs Near Me - Cocoa, Florida

Dog and Bone is a rock solid british pub. I was in town for a conference and went here in the afternoon and loved it. I had the snake bit which is a great mix of cider and stella. They have a lot of british drinks. I forgot to ask about what was in the dog house 'their special' but next time I go that's the first thing I'm doing. The have about 7 beers on tap. It's a narrow space but has some dart boards and an L shaped bar. Make sure to download the touchtune jukebox app on your phone and play some songs. read more

I feel as though, even if I don't breath, there is enough smoke to permeate my skin and give me a nicotine high. It is a proper pub, no doubt. And I believe there are so few bars where you can smoke, that they entire of society lights up here. I enjoy having a beverage, but it's no place to linger if you haven't picked up the habit. read more

Reeks of cigarette smoke, stale cigarette smoke. It was in the afternoon on a Wednesday, maybe 6 others folks in the place, perfect opportunity to air it out.... Had one beer and left. read more

Stopped here for a quick beer as my family and I walked through the shops. I was tired of waiting in one of the stores so I came here for a beer. It was about 3 in the afternoon. The place is all decked out with British decor, not sure out authentic this place is, but it sure did impress. I can only imagine how this place gets at night on the weekends. I am sure this place rocks quite well! read more

Nice wood bar, hole in the wall place. They were out of about half their beers, but they still had a good variety. They do allow smoking, but they also allow dogs. I will definitely come back. Prices good, good daily specials. Bartender was friendly. read more

The people are super nice here and friendly! Never a bad word between anyone! So awesome! See you there soon!

The music was okay. They brought someone else it to start playing an hour and a half before closing and the guy really wasn't that good. The bar tenders were pretty attentive. A lot of people smoke in here and I left smelling of smoke. read more

This is the real deal. I enjoy this pub immensely and look forward to going there often. The band that wins best in Brevard plays there (or used to) every Saturday. I know you will enjoy it as much as I do. I give it five stars. read more

This was an interesting dive bar. I won't get into all the features the other reviewers covered. This was a Sunday afternoon and they had a horrible singer musician on the stage. I have eclectic taste so its unusual for me to be critical of any type of music. But I have no idea what he was doing. Service was very slow. But the deal breaker is they allow smoking. So I won't be returning. read more

Best drinking bar around. Friendly bar staff, perfect atmosphere for having a good time with friends no matter if you are shy of outgoing. Everyone is welcome here, even your furry friends. Walking the double doors, the Dog & Bone looks just like a British Pub. Guiness banners, soceer jerseys, Union Jack flags, the walls and ceiling hold so much UK memoribila that you have to wonder how long it took to collect it all. The all wooden bar houses a nice selection of beer on tape as well a full alcohol. There are dart boards on either side of the fireplace. One pool table takes up a corner. No food served, but they welcome carry-outs. A nice place to hang out anytime. read more

This is an old pub - very English. We were passing by looking for a place to watch football game. We met a bar tender who drew us in and set us up with a table and a TV with the game we wanted to watch. It was nice but not a sports bar. read more

Really cool place! I come to Florida from England occasionally to escape the cold, not your traditional beer selection for a British pub but decent American/Irish selection, was a nice liquid lunch, male bartender seemed drunk and kinda rude (yes I tip) lol, will go back again maybe later in the day next time, overall really nice place. read more

Worst bar in Florida, if they had 0 stars I would of chosen it. It started with the guy checking IDs was spitful and seemed to angry at life. Told me he had to ID everyone who walked in. I understand the policy but 5 or more teenagers walked in right after but I guess the drinks in there hands made them over 21 (he said it is because he knew them.) After I asked the question, I was put into arm bar over no physical altercation at all. I told him to release me but still dragged me for 15 to 20 feet. Didn't have any alcohol or anything in my body. read more

I use to love this bar a lot. Never minded the smoking being a smoker but the service is absolutely terrible during the day by the guy who usually operates it during the day (name starts with an M). Most indignant, disrespectful and unaware person i have ever met. Tends to want to talk to his friends more so than attend to a paying customer, which resulted in waiting 30 mins for a beer until i was noticed (happened multiple times), also should point out that one time when i did ask for another respectfully he rolled his eyes at me and left. Had to ask two more times till i finally got it. Keep in mind only 6 people in the bar at the time, saying youre busy when your not serving anyone nor on register and just standing talking doesnt constitute as busy. Its like having a 16 year old work his first job, never seen such a terrible employee, has no business working that job. Especially when it appears he cant said job when it actually does become busy. The whole place is downright filthy. Definitely the bum business of the village. On top of that they charge which i think is too much for drinks for that establishment, especially when it looks if somethings broke you slap duct tape on it. Dont know who takes care of or cleans the place but its half assed. The pride in work ethic is next to nil. read more

If you want the feel of a proper English Pub, well as much as it can be in the US, knowing their penchant for interminable 'Irish' bars, look no further. The Dog and Bone in historic Cocoa. Good choice of beer, very authentic but alas, no food seen around the place. Friendly locals and expats and very dog friendly, in fact they were all over the bloody place. (and so were the dogs!) There is also a friendly T-shirt clad doorman sat outside making sure any riff raff are thrown into the joint on a regular basis! There's live music, cards, darts, good banter with the ex pats and it's a great centrally located Pub in historic Cocoa. The only downside is.....the very smoky atmosphere which slightly spoiled what was a great night for us. If you like that sort of thing, and you are a smoker or you dearly love and can't bear to be apart from your smoking 'other half' and have enough soap to wash your clothes every day, then fine...I don't....otherwise a really nice little boozer. So sad to hear the dogs coughing though..... read more

A friend invited me to a performance by a duet ensemble by the name of Steven and Becky Marie here last weekend and I went online to get some info about the bar and found some mixed reviews. I did not find this too surprising. Being a local, I am aware the place has changed proprietorship and management a few times in recent years. It turns out the address at 9 Stone Street has two quite distinct venues, one at ground level which is the Dog and Bone pub that has undergone some renovations, the most remarkable being an extension of the bar by several feet . They still have quite a few drafts on tap , dartboards and the atmosphere is great with a generous outdoor area in front for smokers to enjoy with their drinks in hand.. But it was upstairs that was the biggest surprise to me. The renovations there were extensive and completely transformed from when I was last there, some years ago. There is a distinct contrast to the pub below and I must say, a delightful venue for a small performance such as the one I attended. I enjoyed the experience thoroughly and was quite impressed with the revamping of this space. It was a pleasant place to enjoy an intimate performance and I imagine a great place for renting out for special occasions such as wedding receptions or a cabaret show, etc. It has a nightclub vibe that is sleek and clean and there is a DJ booth and room for a great party with the same tap beers and ales that are available downstairs at the pub, but also a full bar that is well appointed.. Overall a great time and I am anxious to see their continued metamorphosis! Cheers! read more
