My dog *loves* Dog House Denver day care. The staff are experts in dogs and have their rooms based on energy level, rather than size, per se. The dogs are well cared for and loved. You can check in on the cameras throughout the day. I feel like all the staff are really dedicated to dogs and love their jobs. Also, the dogs aren't kenneled during the day and since my pup has some medical issues, I feel comforted knowing he is being watched all day long. The grooming has been exceptional (see adorable photo!) This is the only groomer who has meticulously groomed him to the perfect length. His tail has always been an issue for me (since it could be long and stringy)--but the groomer makes it the perfect length so he looks sassy and not foofy.

I am so happy with my decision to come to Dog House Denver! I have a long haired dog who is pretty anxious when it comes to going to the groomer. Past groomers have caused some pretty bad mats to form under my dogs tail from doing a lazy job, and Michael did an INCREDIBLE job fixing that. This is hands down the best groom my boy has ever had!

    Just chiiling with my friends!

Scott is amazing, and we can't recommend Chill Out Dog Training enough!…read more We adopted a 9 month old, 80 lb (now 110 lb) golden retriever from a local rescue in mid-2023. A complete contrast to our older collie/aussie mix, he was full of energy and naughtiness (a puppy), and a nightmare to control. Prior to being surrendered by his (previous) family, he went through two weeks of out of home boarding/training, costing upwards of $7,000. We thought this would have helped with obedience, but boy were we wrong. Fast forward two and a half years, sessions with a certified behaviorist, and failed attempts to use an e-collar, we were at a loss. He constantly displayed leash reactivity, would lunge at cars and dogs, and made it so we would rarely walk anywhere. He almost broke my finger during a break free lunge at a dog completely across a residential street! At home, dog forbid another animal appeared on the tv; he would jump and bark at everything. Then we found Chill Out... After the very first session with Scott, our big boy golden was a different dog. Scott set is up with the right tools to refocus our dogs behavior and break him of his leash reactivity. That very first walk was pleasant and uneventful. We almost felt foolish for claiming bad behavior. What we needed was the right trainer and methods to help our dog change behavior. Like I said at the beginning, I can't recommend Chill Out Training enough.

Two of them are my problem children: a Rottweiler mix foster fail who is reactive to bikes and other dogs and occasionally nervous around people like visiting contractors or UPS men, and the other is a 100+ lb Brazilian mastiff rescue from Aruba who is not fond of other dogs. The two of them began showing increasingly worse dog aggression toward other dogs on the trail and while camping, and had attacked several dogs by the time I found Loyal Hound/Juliet. I was at my wit's end, because I had already spent thousands of dollars and tried everything including other trainers at that point with little to no progress. I felt stuck with 2 big problems for the next 6-8 years. I hike at least 3 miles every single day off leash on the trails by my house, and I love to camp with my dogs in the summer, but they became such a liability that walks became stressful and camping became impossible. I finally found Juliet with Loyal Hound, and for our very first session we met at a crowded park and were going to be doing off leash training right away. I was so nervous -- all the triggers were present: other people with dogs on leashes, dogs off leashes, people on bikes, squirrels -- so I was absolutely AMAZED when we were walking my Rottweiler off leash through a gaggle of geese, past people on bikes, and past other dogs within a few minutes with no problems. It was nothing short of a miracle. Within a few sessions, I had both of my dog aggressive dogs walking on and off leash next to me, passing other dogs (sometimes dogs that were even barking at them) on trails safely with no reactivity. I cannot explain in words how much of a difference this has made in my life -- I feel like I got my life back. If you have a dog aggressive dog, this is the place to go. It's WELL worth the investment, and you will be amazed at the difference you will see in your dog. Thank you Loyal Hound & Juliet!!

Within 5 minutes we were able to re-establish the training methods that work and get Hope back on track with easy leash walking. I am so impressed with her concise easy to follow instructions. I am looking forward to taking my two Samoyeds on walks again while walking my toddler in a stroller without having to worry that Hope will pull us. Trained dogs are safe dogs and I'd pay for the training with Juliet 10x over. Worth every penny! It makes my life easier as a single mom managing all the things to have two dogs that get to enjoy being outside with us because I trust them and they trust me. She did a great job not only training Nash and Parker, but also teaching us how to maintain and build on what they learned once they came home. The follow‑up sessions were incredibly helpful and showed how much she cares about long‑term results, not just quick fixes. We saw noticeable improvements in behavior, responsiveness, and overall confidence in both dogs. It's clear Quinn is passionate about what she does, and we felt comfortable knowing our dogs were in great hands. I would highly recommend Quinn to anyone looking for a skilled and dedicated dog trainer

She brings such a calm, knowledgeable, and thoughtful approach to training, and it's clear how much she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. We saw real progress with our dog, Kendrick, in a relatively short amount of time. What truly set this experience apart, though, was how Quinn handled a scary and unexpected situation. During Kendrick's initial board-and-train, he had a seizure. Quinn stepped in immediately, took great care of him, and kept us informed while we rushed home. Knowing he was with someone so attentive and compassionate made an incredibly stressful moment much easier. On top of that, Pavlov honored the remaining portion of his training, and Quinn welcomed him back once he was ready to complete the program. That level of flexibility and integrity speaks volumes. We're so grateful for Quinn -- not just for the training, but for the trust and care she showed when it mattered most. Highly recommend.

The location is easy to get to with plenty of available parking. However, I wish there was a doggy potty area by the entrance, it's just concrete. The hours are fantastic, from 6AM - 9PM. I have only used the day care service. Note, if you drop off before 7AM and/or pick up after 7PM there is an additional $10 fee. Skiptown is the only place I've found in the Denver area with daycare pick up after 7 PM. Most of the time when I drop off other than early morning there has been a wait for my dog to taken back. To get started you need to download the app. Everything is done thru the app - scheduling daycare, payments, vaccination records & arranging a first time observation visit, which is required. The staff is super friendly & attentive. There have been a couple times that Skiptown called with concerns about my dog. And that I greatly appreciated. Overall, a great choice for doggy daycare.

I provided pre-portioned meals with clear written instructions and confirmed them twice -- once over the phone before drop-off and again in person. The instructions were simple and routine. Despite that, my dog was not fed dinner, and her breakfast instructions were only partially followed. More concerning, when I reached out after noticing their app did not show her dinner as completed, I was told she had been fed. That information was incorrect. I also did not receive any of the updates or reports that were expected during her stay, and my message to support went unanswered for approximately 9 hours. At pickup, I was handed back her untouched dinner along with the remaining portion of her breakfast, confirming the instructions had not been followed. When I raised this with staff, the only resolution offered was a credit toward a future stay. This experience reflects a breakdown not just in communication, but in executing the most basic responsibilities of pet care.

Prior to last March, our dog was returned to us with a bleeding tail (at the base), some issues being able to walk (crying) after the appointment for a couple days following due to standing for long periods of time, and some uneven cuts (pictured above) which I amounted to the new management just getting their feet wet and installed into this business. We had such amazing experiences prior to these incidents, we wanted to keep giving them a chance to improve. Once our dog was there for close to 8 hours, we sought out another groomer (which was the last time we were there). I called in last week and requested an appointment and was hung up on. I tried calling back and no answer. Fast forward to today, I tried to schedule something and learned we've been black listed due to "notes from upper management." According to the manager on duty that answered the call, we had numerous incidents of "rushing the groomer" which was really shocking. In the times we'd brought our dog in, we used to receive updates from the groomer if it was going to be longer than a few hours (four hours max). In the last few times, we never received updates so I would call in to check and see when our dog would be done. It was always difficult to plan around due to my work schedule and wanting to pick him up as there's a charge to keep him there past a certain amount of time. The last time he was there for, I want to say, eight hours (maybe 9:15-close) with no calls or anything. I called in a couple time that day and was a bit upset (no yelling or anything-- I'm no Karen... Sorry to any Karens reading this) simply due to not being given an opportunity to come in and give our dog more meds for his legs (in the past the groomers said he was standing for a really long time so that's why he was hurting the following days). According to the manager on duty today, "there were numerous well documented incidents that happened," although he wouldn't mention what they were. All in all, the turnover here has always been rough and while there may be sole great groomers here from time to time, it's probably best to look elsewhere. The male manager that's typically there is quite rude and super testy. Just overall disappointed as this place was so so great when we first moved to Denver a few years ago. Wish I didn't have to write this as we always try to support local businesses not criticize them.
