Great place for a birthday party!
    Stephanie T.

Really clean place; nice tables and typical pool-hall food. Great selection of beer, too. We had a birthday party here and I'd plan another party here sometime.

Crooked tables. Gross food. Warm beer. Snowflakes melting everywhere. Avoid this place at all costs.

Very small snack portion for very expensive price. Most likely how they can keep their doors open.

The owner took the COVID 19 protocols very seriously. 10/10 would recommend this billiards place over any other.

I mostly show up for the darts , and maybe table tennis , or even one of the many pool tables. I'll grab a classic Stella or Lagunitas when I go. Staff is amazing. Always friendly . Always a good atmosphere. Every time . Food is tasty. I love the burger. Fries are crispy, salty, and soft on the inside (kinda wish every fast food fries were like this), and the burger I got was very tasty. Juicy , filling , and flavorful . A great place for all to play some pool, darts, or table tennis. They even have air hockey and an arcade game near the entrance. It's a place for everyone. Uhhh yes... absolutely. I'm always down for a community spot that feels like home, and after the other two places we had already stopped at, I was thinking, "Alright... this one better be special." Spoiler alert: it was. We walked in, ordered our drinks, and with the weather being way too good to waste indoors, we posted up outside on the patio like two people who clearly had nowhere better to be. And that's when this place really started to show its character. Let me tell you... this place was exactly what I hoped it would be. Locals rolling in, saying hi to each other, swapping stories, laughing like they've all known each other since cassette tapes and landlines were still a thing. Hearing people talk about folks who've been coming here for 20+ years honestly felt like I had accidentally wandered into a 90's sitcom--but in the best possible way. Just good people, good laughs, and that rare kind of atmosphere you can't manufacture. It had that "everybody knows somebody" energy... and somehow even as a first-timer, it still felt welcoming instead of cliquey. Now let's talk drinks. We ordered tequila doubles and I'm already mentally preparing for younger-me behavior... and my friend hits me with, "We don't shoot tequila, we sip on it." Excuse me? Sip it? I looked at her like she had just introduced tequila to me for the first time in my life. I was like, "Whaaaaat?" because somebody really should've told younger me that years ago. Would've saved me a few poor life decisions and at least two questionable mornings. But honestly? She was right. Sipping tequila on that patio, soaking up the weather, listening to the local stories and laughter around us... it just fit. That's the kind of moment this place gives you. It slows you down in the best way. The vibe here is relaxed, unpretentious, and full of personality. No fake polish, no trying too hard--just a true local gem doing exactly what it's supposed to do. In all, Penngrove Pub isn't just a place to grab a drink. It's a front-row seat to community. It's storytelling with tequila. It's the kind of spot that reminds you local places still matter. And honestly... I'd go back just to sip tequila properly this time.

They have a good array of arcade games - we are partial to Jurassic Park though it always has a line, skee ball, basketball, the frogger clone game, the harpoon game - as well as things like trampolines (extra cost), the playground (a ball spill thingy, slides, 3 levels, a zip line, etc - also extra cost. We enjoy bowling during football games so we can watch and bowl and get boneless wings from victory house (and sometimes Bloody Marys). I've also come to watch friends play soccer at their different indoor courts. Only downside - it feels a bit like a germ fest. Lots of hand sanitizer and now I feel like I need to take some elderberry.

This review is specifically for the Charlie's Candy Shop escape room…read more We came a few months ago in a group of six. I think the Finding Bigfoot escape room wasn't even open yet. The Charlie's Candy Shop escape room was created with AI, and we genuinely felt that was a mistake. This wasn't our first escape room, but we were completely lost. So many of the instructions were confusing and didn't make any sense. All the clues were super vague. One of the instructions was incorrect ( that's why we couldn't complete the task ), and our room host told us about it after our time had ended. We also got the exact same hint twice, from the button and the paper. Overall, the room felt cheaply made, and some of the components were broken. The host also told us that the percentage of people/groups completing the room without hints from the host is zero, which, in our opinion, is odd. So I guess the room is too hard, but mostly because not much of it makes sense. We think, the clues should be more helpful and clearer than what we experienced in Charlie's Candy Shop escape room. We still have hopes for the Finding Bigfoot escape room ( assuming it wasn't created with AI ). P.S. Our host was nice and friendly. He even let us glance at the soon-to-be-open Finding Bigfoot escape room, which we really appreciated. +1 star for the host.
