I scheduled a tour in advance online, and received a very thorough explanation of the Yardstick difference. There are three different play areas for small, medium, and large dogs. During a regular daycare visit, your dog gets a short break in their own kennel area around midday, before jumping back in for afternoon play. An all-day daycare visit will run you $45, and they do offer a trial day for new guests for $25. The entire facility is cute and clean - but I have to say it's the customer service that stands out most. The Yardstick team sends me adorable (and detailed) photo updates throughout the day, reinforcing that I've left my fur baby in excellent hands. I say that because I've been traveling across country staying at hotels or other KOA is that don't have ice so I have to go to the gas station to fill my ice chest where the ice is melted in a couple hours. Versus if I have my own freezer and it works good then frozen water bottles last longer. They also have a little fire pit area, playground for the kids, and a pool. We didn't use any of those but it's a great option. Just down the road is two gas stations, a couple restaurants and a McDonald's. So there's not a ton to eat around here. Make sure you go early because a lot of places close early if you wanna eat. It was nice and quiet other than the frogs and crickets. You'll see some interesting bugs and beetles around here also.
