--do not take them here…read more From the moment we arrived to pick my dog up, the environment was loud, chaotic, and completely unprofessional. Dogs were barking, crying, running loose, and Maria and the staff were yelling at all of the dogs. You could hear the staff and the dogs were crying and whimpering behind the closed door. There was no sense of calm, care, or control !!! Maria didn't just scream at the animals--she also yelled at my mother, a first-time customer, as well as another client, due to the fact that she did not like that we had concern for our dogs. When I attempted to call back later to speak with her calmly and professionally, she hung up on me. My mother was in tears. Before we left, she even yelled "Good riddance. Good luck. Take your dog and leave." This is how the owner treats people. The grooming was incomplete, my dog came home smelling horrible, and he looked like he had been handled carelessly. There were moments while waiting for his appointment to be over where we considered going into the back ourselves to get him, we didn't feel he was safe. This wasn't just a bad haircut. This was a disturbing, hostile experience from start to finish. There is absolutely no excuse for yelling at animals or customers. If you care about your pet's wellbeing, seek out a groomer who operates with compassion, professionalism, and basic decency. This was the opposite.

Although the place looks nice the staff are very unprofessional My dog stayed here and within 3 hours sustained a injury and lacerations or puncture wounds to her back legs and chin. The staff made one phone call to myself and wifes cell with no voicemail while we were away on our vacation within Ontario. Although they took her to the Vet to get stapled, the staff made no attempts after to contact us to inform us of anything.. We finally found out after calling Redwood on our drive home 2 days later asking if they would stay open an extra 10 minutes after closing due to traffic. Only then the staff alerted us of her injuries and on top of that they wouldn't even stay open so we can get her. We had to have a sleepless night waiting until the next morning to pick her up. Our dog stayed in a 4 feet x 5 feet cage for two nights with injuries without us knowing. Picking her up was a nightmare. I had been asked to pay all bills even vet bills before I was 'Allowed" to see her or take her home. on top of that I was to be "given a opportunity" to see her injuries through a glass window. After debating and arguing with an incompetent staff they finally let me have her. Some follow up was made by the owner only after 2 days of picking her up as they were away for a dog show and were'nt available to deal with this. Even with the follow up no answers were given and we are still wondering what happened and why no contact was made and why our dog would need to be confined in a cage with injuries. Also my brothers number who is local, was provided in case something happened. He was not contacted at all. Only one follow up call was made to me after the initial discussion with the owner to see how my dog was doing. Although fees were waved the staff was very unprofessional. I have not contacted them regarding my vet bills either.

They gave her a private run where she wasn't with other dogs, as we we requested. (My dog was .. ah.. rather selective about her canine companionship.) It got to the point where my dog was happy to go with the employees when we dropped her off, and she never even looked back at us as we left. That is a sign of how comfortable she was at Redwood, and that's enough for me to give this place five stars.

We got a beagle and he is still a young puppy so barks quite a lot, the staff in Oakville said it's totally normal for puppy because he is scared. The whole process was around 1 hour or more, with clear explanation afterwards what's done and what's not due to the condition of our dog. However, with the Milton store, the whole cleaning only lasts half an hour and we got the call to pick up our dog. Furthermore, the staff complained our dog for barking and possibly being aggressive. Being with regular vet checks and several grooming services, it's the first time that somebody call our dog aggressive. Will not go there again. Would rather drive to Oakville for a professional service that my dog deserves!!

At the location in Milton I expected a similar experience. I was wrong! Immediately upon entering the grooming salon it felt very different. It was relaxing and comfortable and the groomers were very gentle. I felt comfortable leaving my dog here. I was even more surprised when I picked my dog up three hours later. She was so happy and relaxed and her hair cut looks amazing! I am so happy with my experience here and I will definitely take my dog back here for future grooming with Kira E. Thank you for taking care of my dog!

You know, for all my ragging on chain stores and franchises (I swear, you Yelp hipsters are getting…read moreto me!), I have nothing bad to say about this shop. You will not walk in here and see the exact same stuff as you will at any other Pet Valu. Each store will have different stock, because people in different places prefer different things for their pets. They carry my prefered litter, and the food the cats will eat, so that's all good. The staff has been consistent both in face and quailty. And a lot of them look like people I went to college with, so that's a plus. It's also nice to look at the Humane Society's cats up for adoption. There's nothing quite as settling as playing with a kitten..

Today is May 28th, just came from Pet Value located in Milton and I had an awful experience there…read more Here is what happened: We have a Golden retriever and we decided to use the self service from Pet value to give our dog a bath. It was 6:45, I had just got back from work, picked up my husband, son and dog to go to the store. We arrived there at 7:00 PM and there was only a short, blond lady, that I unfortunately couldn't get the name. We told her her what we wanted and said that we already used the service in another pet value location ( Dupont and Dufferin in Toronto) where I had a wonderful experience. The lady walked us there and we started the bath. Everything was fine and when we finished we started drying him, but the tub was too wet, so we moved him to the other tub, but in 5 minutes this lady came to us and said we were supposed to use only one because other customers could come, and she she was correct, right? What if other customer showed? So we moved him back to the tub we gave him the bath. It was taking too long so we started using both blowers as there was no other customer in the store, but guess what? It didn't take more than 5 minutes and she came back saying we couldn't use both blowers. I asked why because there was just us in the store and she said that the system could blow up! Really, blow up the system?! Come on, so you can't have 2 dogs drying at the same time that the system blows up? But I didn't question that, we just stopped using the other blower. I had the blower and my husband was brushing the dog and the lady came again. She said we couldn't blow and brush at the same time because the dog was shedding. I immediately said that she has a lot of rules, that we didn't have that in the other store we went and she said that the reason we couldn't use the blower and brush the dog at the same time was because a customer could go to the store and could be allergic. What??????? We stopped using the brush and started only with the blower as we needed to have the dog dry. After 10, 15 minutes the blower stopped working and within the minute the lady came out from the back of the store. Was it a coincidence? I don't believe so, so I paid and left since she wasn't much help... Now, the time is 8PM, my dog stinks again because he is still wet, and I am stressed out.
