The guy said no problem bring it in the morning, pick it up at 5. Whole day for 2 tires? But I was working half a day so I asked him if I could bring it in at 12, he said that's fine. He said he'd work with me, hence the extra star. Dropped the car off at 12:30, cops did a fake tag enforcement on the Whitestone so I was late because of the traffic. Guy said it's fine, leave the keys and return at 5PM to pick it up. About 4:20 I receive a call from Ryan telling me they couldn't manage to get to my car. That it wouldn't be ready. I told him that was f****** awful service. He replied well I could say you dropped it off at 12:30 and it's also hot outside, we booked 40 appointments...couldn't get to you. Then why not tell me that when I dropped the car off? Or before? Then he asked should I return the tires, you don't want them anymore correct? I didn't reply to that because it was a ridiculous question, what do I care? I cared about getting my rear tires done but they don't seem to care about that, I'm supposed to care what they do with the tires now? Really? Bit of a joke that convo was but I didn't find it funny, Especially now that I have to take a roadtrip for the holiday without the peace of mind I was excepting to have. Took my car to Quality for a second opinion where they found only one of the three issues to be true. In addition they found some maintenance needing to be done that had only been mentioned at the dealer as a future issue. I got it all taken care of at Quality for hundreds less and in a short time. Oh, and good communication throughout. Came here for a few oil changes before but after this they are my go-to service station. Totally getting what you expect here with a name like Quality.

The car had to be towed to a dealership where an inspection found no oil in the engine block, the result of the Gulf station improperly installing the new air filter. The catastrophic oil leak required an expensive engine replacement. Even after learning of our experience, and knowing that we were without our family car due to his shop's obvious negligence, the owner then refused to cover the costs following his insurance carrier's denial of his claim. And his insurance company just told me that he did not have active coverage because he has been failing to make regular payments. That forced us to involve our own insurance in order to cover the $15k-plus worth of work. We just got it back, nearly a month after it broke down.
