They call me an hour and half later to let me know she's ready (I thought wow that was quick). I take her home and her nails are still long and her paws weren't even trimmed. My dogs were loved, bonded with, and cared for while getting incredible training. They allowed my dogs to sleep together at night which made me feel extra comforted while they were away. I didn't know what to expect when they started and being without your dogs for that long of a time requires a lot of trust. There was so much care put into communicating with me during their time away, including occasional video updates showing me how they were progressing. I would say my dogs were pretty well behaved before going to training, but theres a lot of prejudice in the world against pitbulls. Thanks to Joe and his team I now have the confidence and comfortability going to public parks, beaches and even being in my own yard knowing that when I call they will come. They were trained to walk on and off leash and to respond to commands necessary. They came back calmer, their coats were shinier and looking healthier than ever. Not only were the dogs given the training, but Joe then took the time and care to ensure I was ready to bring them home and keep the work going. He has taken many phone calls from me with questions and continues to work with both myself, family members and my dogs post the 7 week training. I can't say enough how grateful I am for how they have cared for my dogs. I highly recommend K9 to anyone who needs boarding or training.

I naturally wanted to adopt (as I had rescued our first two from behind a dumpster) knowing how much rescuing means fo animals in need and myself. It wasn't what I expected from a typical shelter set up; the area for the cats were some trailers behind a building in a lot. But the facility was clean and the team trying to assist us was very lovely. It was my first time trying to adopt through a shelter and wasn't sure what to expect and I'm don't feel I did, but since it was my first experience I'm also not sure if something I did was offensive because the woman who seemed to be running the shelter wouldn't let any staff show us a single cat. There wasn't a ton of cats there but possibly around a dozen or so. She was very terse, told us all the cats were either spoken for or couldn't be adopted yet. We asked if there were any we could visit with and one staff member was about to show us the back room where he said some were up for adoption when this woman cut him off saying "no they can not see those cats". It was so odd as if she did not want us to adopt any of her cats however I'm totally baffled as to what that reason could be. Possibly just a bad day and we caught her at the wrong time? We are a couple in our 30s, friendly and polite. We both work with the public and are pretty good at being thoughtful in interactions with others. Felt perhaps she just didn't like how we looked or something and was dead set on not helping us. Felt so uncomfortable, judged and unwanted from the whole situation and I would never try to adopt from this location ever again. **I have since adopted from other shelters and had wonderful experiences**

The classes went okay at first until the end of them when the trainer said we're going to work on "socializing". The other dog was much much larger and quickly came over to ours and overpowering, literally pinning our dog to the ground. The trainer stated that our dog would "bite or bark when they don't feel safe" but instead, our little dog simply lied down and peed himself because he was so scared... This evidently caused behavioral issues with our puppy and caused him to be scared of other dogs and strangers. HIGHLY do NOT recommend bringing your dog here to be trained... Also the prices of items there are absurd
