They are inconsistent with their prices . On the Order Machine it has 1 price and once you order its another price and the manager justify the reason for you not being told up front before you order.

Not the best vegan food, but a couple of their menu items are good. I'd avoid the BBQ ribs and the seafood mac, I was very disappointed with those. The service is always great, though and I only come here if I'm in the area and desperate for some vegan food. The desserts they have all hit !! A few of them are too sweet (if you like that) but the carrot cake isn't that sweet and it's really yummy!

I am a new resident of this restaurant neighborhood and have been super excited to visit and try them out! I was appalled by the customer service unpon walking in there was no one at the front to greet no music playing or anything. The space is nicely decorated and felt clean however the food looked cold.. untouched it's been sitting there overnight at 11:12am then came the employee with his phone in his hand and popping gum looking at me us like what yall want? He pretended to not understand or speak English when I asked how does the ordering work? What is the options for a plate.. he just didn't care. He continued to pop his gum just steering at me in a way that made me uncomfortable without answering my question and then proceeded to laugh once I said okay then nvm. Management needs to be made aware of who is the face of their business and fix it. You had 2 new customers who could have become regulars walk out your business because of one bad employee. Do better!

Classic vegan spot with good options. This is my first time at this location but it's the same service overall. They've switched to kiosk which speeds the whole experience up. The prices are average where you'll easily spend $10-$20 on items and/or combos. The ambiance of this store is vibrant, clean and well kept. Overall if you're looking for a good vegan spot in the Forestville, Marlboro Pike area stop by this one.

District Heights doesn't see much in the way of healthier alternative food. Joining Food for Life on Suitland Road comes Dodah's with vegan food on Marlboro Pike! It replaces the neighborhood sensation Uncaged Chefs. Where did they go? I'm glad to see vegetables and plant based food in their spot. I hope this tells places like cava or sweetgreen that they would be appreciated in this area just as much. Anyway, back to the business that decided this neck of the woods is the way to go... I tried more of their offerings. Previously, I had the collards, candied yams and cabbage (I think) All checked the boxes. I sampled the buffalo cauliflower and it was good, but not crispy as I had hoped. I would still order it at another visit. My next visit, we went with chicken drummies, ribs and Mac n cheese. Chicken Drummies- impressed! Fresh out the fryer, lightly crunchy Mac n cheese- creamy noodle mix with a kick...a lil bbq or chipotle seasoning? Satisfying. Ribs- my guess is that it's like chickpea falafel and rich bbq sauce Strawberry cake- sweet for a nice dessert but not overwhelming nor too sweet. Ginger lemonade is great with a pretty strong ginger kick. I'm ecstatic to have this option close by. I will definitely return!

I had a taste for a veggie plate and I knew exactly where to get it! All the food here is hot and fresh. Ordering is easy with the touch screen menu. It's super easy and shows pictures of the food options. After the order is placed your plate is made and your number is called. I ordered my favorites: sweet kale salad, cabbage, and sweet potato. I ordered a second plate with spinach lasagne, sweet kale salad and seafood Mac n cheese. There's ample parking and easy to access. Each plate was roughly $14-$17. The spinach lasagna was a little salty this visit.

I honestly expected more from this restaurant as I have heard so many great things about it. I eat vegan food very often and enjoy it. First, the staff expressed that they did not have any kale, sandwiches, or crab cakes, which was frustrating because I looked forward to trying the kale. The cauliflower was the best thing on the plate, but I wish it was crispier. In my opinion the mac & cheese was nasty and I did not the like flavor of the cookies and cream cheesecake. I went with 2 other people and we all agreed that we expected better.

However, my experience revealed a significant disparity between the stated purpose and the actual atmosphere created by the owner. The irony: The event was a documentary, discussion, and supporting the vendors who came. During the discussion portion after the documentary, comments and thoughts were welcomed, so I shared my thoughts specifically highlighting resources on collective healing and rest in relation to generational and historic racial injustice/oppression (resources such as the Nap Ministry). The vendors and attendees were kind and friendly, and a few were curious about the grassroots healing organization I mentioned. What I noticed was, while the owner was notably attentive and warm toward his white patrons and others, his demeanor toward me, the only Indian woman there, was inexplicably hostile and impatient. It left me confused. In his direct comments to me, he indicated a disdain he had for "Indian people" with the generalization that "Indians are the most successful in this racist system and are therefore part of the problem." I was painted with a stereotype that has nothing to do with me. It was disappointing to see a space dedicated to 'liberation' revert to such narrow, localized profiling of a supporter like myself, especially considering that my intention for being there was the exact opposite. This attitude of blindly disparaging Indians is the same anti-blackness he claims to oppose. It is ironic that in a space claiming to fight racism white supremacy, the owner reserves his most aggressive scapegoating for a dark skinned woman of color who was there to offer genuine support (an easy target for misplaced hostility), all while changing his demeanor for the white guests. It contradicts the grassroots racial struggle he claims to represent and left a bad taste in my mouth. The food was overpriced but watered down, cold, and lacked flavor. The whole atmosphere was cold, low vibrational, grievance and money driven, and lacked the vitality and integrity one would expect at this price point. Quality is a result of Presence. Because the owner's heart was closed and his mind was set on getting money for low quality food and finding a scapegoat, the food had no life-force. I have withdrawn my support from this place.

They were both sweet, savory and a little spicy. The walnuts that topped it were a nice touch to add texture to the already soft dates, I enjoyed it a lot. The miso mushroom bucatini was also a favorite of ours as it didn't taste vegan at all to us. It was creamy and the pasta was cooked well. My daughter enjoyed this a lot.
