I personally love their gift wrapping station and balloon bar, which can add some fun flair to any occasion. If you've never gotten a giant billy balloon with metallic tassels, you're missing out! They have a beautiful array of colors to choose from, and you can even customize you balloons with personalized calligraphy. PGP just recently launched "The Pantry" which is a perfectly curated corner of their shop that is filled with grab & go provisions, party supplies, sweet treats by Morgan Hunter Desserts, fresh flowers, and more. You can swing by and grab these items at any time (picnic on Lake Ivanhoe, anyone??) or you can pre-order everything you need for your next gathering. They also offer custom design services for invitations, stationery, and all your paper needs! And if you haven't seen The Party Room event space in the back of their shop, well then you're welcome... I just found your next party location. You can rent out this adorable space by the hour, and it's perfect for a bridal shower, dinner party, or even a private workshop. Megan & Cedar are the talented duo (and twin sisters) behind Paper Goat Post. They are going to be celebrating their 6th PGP birthday this year and have become a community staple in Ivanhoe Row. Let's continue to support this small local biz!

They had a nice selection of gifts, cards, and party supplies here. Cards are about in the ~$6 range, which compared to some of the cheesy cards you can get at target for the same price isn't too bad. Most of the selection is catered towards gifts, cards, and party supplies but they do have some stationary stuff too. Not sure I'd drive out of my way to come here again, but if I find myself in the Lake Baldwin area I'd definitely swing by to see what's new! If you're a fan of cute cards, or are looking for some easy gifts, definitely give this shop a go!

Their setup is…read moresimilar to another bigger name card design company located in Winter Park...their small storefront houses their merchandise that is available for purchase to the public. From the front I could see that heading towards the back was their space where they work their printing magic. They didn't have anyone really working up in the front area. A guy greeted me and just mentioned that he would check on me occasionally (they seemed to be occupied in the back). I perused the wall of greeting cards ($4.25/piece) , cool journals and notebooks that were on hand. What really catches your eye about their items are the catchy, clever phrases and nice graphics with great pops of color. I don't think their cards are for everyone(Hallmark they are not) but they do definitely get your attention. I ended up stocking up on a nice amount of cards to have on hand for those last minute birthdays that always escape you. I do wish they offered some sort of deal for multiple card purchases as I am sure it would encourage me to buy more. I did end up leaving with 6 great cards either way. Nonetheless, if you're looking for a unique greeting card or some fun writing journals /notebooks you won't find anywhere else give this place a whirl.

I had not been to Sam's since they moved across the street a few years ago. As a customer I went for some colored pencils and the staff was extremely helpful in finding items for a gift. I was walked by a staff member to several areas of the store and items to choose from were placed in my hands while the staff member explained the features and made recommendations. The level of customer service and help is something you don't commonly see in retail stores these days. The store has a tranquil vibe which makes it fun to browse the many gift items. Their stock is unique in that they carry a breadth of items that are high quality at a range of prices. You can spend a lot of time here finding inspiration and treasures. They offer art classes and during the Christmas season they offered free make and take craft classes. They had a small cardboard 'house or cottage' setup inside the store with tables stocked with all the supplies you needed for that weeks's free project. This was not just for kids. My friend and I had fun making gift tags the day we were visiting the store. The store is beautiful inside and out. The beautiful murals that cover the outside walls echo the beauty and fun you will find inside the store. Since they are popular the parking lot can get pretty full.

Vera Bradley's paisley creations adorned the entire back portion of the store and were well displayed. Not only do they sell her purses, but they have many of the newest accessories such as the stationery line. They also offer Fossil purses and wallets were all very lovely. New to me, I noticed a cosmetics/skin care line called Ahava which seemed to be endorsed by Kristen Davis of Sex & The City. They also had girl friendly designer napkins, decorative signs for your home, lotions, greeting cards, and everything in between including silver platters which were engraved with "Gators." It was priced in the middle of expensive and moderate but to me would be worth the money because most of what they offer was timeless and put together with quality in mind and not quantity. I am a fan and was happy to have discovered this gift shop.

The Good: Plenty of Ideas: This place is a great "go-to" place when you need a gift for that friend that has everything. There are plenty of unique items that you can get including stylish bags and impressive glass pieces for the home. The Bad: Feels a little random: There is no way to go into this place and know what you are going to get. There is so much stuff in so many categories that it is difficult to know what you ant here. Do you want make-up? Do you want a vase? Who knows? Prices: This place is definitely high end, and if you do plan on buying a gift for a friend here plan on dropping a few bills. Plus, it was started by a woman, and it focuses especially on helping women worldwide. I think that's super important. Bajalia has lots of very unique items, some beautiful, some puzzling, and some avant garde/over my head, yet interesting. I've gotten several gorgeous bangles here, as well as an amazing ring from Turkey, and a super, super pretty scarf. The items change seasonally, so check back every couple months to see what's new. I loved what they had in the winter, but the summer items are a bit too neon and bright for me. Still, it's definitely worth checking out. Prices range throughout the store, but the err on the side of being a bit pricier than I'm accustomed to. Granted, I'm used to Claire's and Target pricing, which says pretty much nothing. They have several good sales throughout the year, and if you become a fan of their Facebook page and join the mailing list, you'll be alerted as to when these occur. The store is on the south end of Park Ave. by Tutti Frutti and near Rollins. It's similar to Ten Thousand Villages, but the items a bit more interesting and unique (and expensive). (By expensive I mean bangles can run anywhere from $5 to $60, and scarves are generally over $40, probably closer to $50 or $60. This is pretty standard for many items that are Fair Trade, and I think the quality here is higher than some other places I've seen, both in-store and online.)
