Given the timing of my project, I began thinking I would work with a big-box store. That experience was frustrating and I was skeptical that the final product would look acceptable. One of the best customer service experiences I have probably ever had…read more I needed some stickers made for a frozen food product. The first time I called they answered the phone in less than 2 rings and I had a quote in less than a minute. After that, Nick and myself exchanged a total of 62 emails trying to figure out the perfect way to print these stickers. I needed something that wouldn't bleed and that would still stick if there was any condensation. He even mailed me some samples because I was too busy to go up there to get them. I finally settled on something and sent my file to them for printing. There were some issues with the file I sent so then me and Joey exchanged about 45 emails trying to get it right. He was really patient with me considering I have absolutely no idea about files and layers and embedded objects and whatnot. I knew at the very beginning of all of this that there was going to be a two week turnaround. By the time we straightened everything out, the end of that two weeks was about 24 hours before my business launch. I explained this to them and they assured me they would do everything they could to have them ready in time. They were ready at the end of day on a Friday and I couldn't make it down there to pick them up so Joey left them outside for me (safely packaged) to pick up. The stickers came out perfect! They looked and did exactly what they were suppose to. I will definitely be going back here for all my printing needs.

From the very first general email I submitted I had a response in less than 2 business days (I am still pending a response from other print shops and it's been over 3 months). They walked me through the entire process, answered all of my questions, and provided options for my price range. As a novice when it comes to screen printing, all my questions were answered professionally and respectfully. This was the easiest part of the wedding planning so far and I will be back for any and all printing needs. I was a little nervous about not being able to order a 'sample' or 'proof' before placing my order but my fears were unnecessary. Needless to say the final product exceed all my expectations and was breathtaking. Highly, HIGIHLY recommend. Especially for any brides who need help with their wedding invites - ask for Brooks!

What a fabulous experience I had when making a choice to get my printing done by a local company!…read more I was on my way to FedEx to get large prints made on poster board and saw Empire on the way. Being a lover of all things local I decided to give them a try. FedEx was going to charge me around $80 for the size and printing I was needing, but once I talked to Rod at Empire, he hooked me up with a better price and quick, next day service! (I was in a time crunch) Rod and his team certainly delivered! Not only did they upgrade my prints to gator board (much more durable than the typical foam board), but they called to let me know exactly when my prints would be ready and smiled the whole way through the process. I'm so glad I stopped in and went local on this one! Great service and a beautiful printing job!

Sam Flax is way more than an art supply store and framing shop. They have all kinds of gift items,…read morebooks, premium name brand ink and fountain pens, home decorations and more. I had not been to Sam's since they moved across the street a few years ago. As a customer I went for some colored pencils and the staff was extremely helpful in finding items for a gift. I was walked by a staff member to several areas of the store and items to choose from were placed in my hands while the staff member explained the features and made recommendations. The level of customer service and help is something you don't commonly see in retail stores these days. The store has a tranquil vibe which makes it fun to browse the many gift items. Their stock is unique in that they carry a breadth of items that are high quality at a range of prices. You can spend a lot of time here finding inspiration and treasures. They offer art classes and during the Christmas season they offered free make and take craft classes. They had a small cardboard 'house or cottage' setup inside the store with tables stocked with all the supplies you needed for that weeks's free project. This was not just for kids. My friend and I had fun making gift tags the day we were visiting the store. The store is beautiful inside and out.
