Okay, fine. I needed a sick appointment for my son and despite him being ill, I waited 3 hours for her to call the insurance agency and get back to me. I know something about insurance and billing being in the healthcare industry. I had a feeling my husband's insurance agency was going to provide misinformation because insurance companies don't want to pay when they hear a secondary insurance is involved. Despite her knowing for a fact that the primary for the child is whichever spouse birthday is first (my husband) she didn't go on her own knowledge and even stated that she knew the information that was provided to her was wrong, she denied giving my son the sick appointment. I've never experienced such backwards thinking at a doctor's office. I never had issues or bills from my son going to the doctor- pediatrician or urgent care. We just moved from NYC so this level of ...weirdness is baffling to me. It's more visits, but that works for me as not many places accommodate parents with such requests. From my experience his medical assistant are new each time I have been in the office. As far as the esthetic of the office, the waiting area could use some remodeling or at the very least some new chairs. She left and then put her head back in and said that the staff told her that most insurances don't cover the medicine she recommended. No other solution or care offered. Then put me on hold for 45 minutes. I had to hang up since I was on my break at work. Called again the next day with no answer and I left a message on their machine like you're advised to do. They NEVER called me back. This office is a joke. If you aren't there for an immigration physical, then don't bother going. Because they will treat you like shit. We were able to get the required x-rays right at the office. Dr. Metzl could not have been nicer or more knowledgeable.. He took his time getting to know my daughter, explained in great detail why she was having pain, and answered all our questions. We did not feel rushed at all. We were in and out of his office in less than an hour because his office is run well and he was on schedule. My daughter is terrified of doctors, but the first thing she said when we left his office was, "I liked that doctor!". And I love his philosophy of keeping his patients as active as possible. We couldn't have had a better experience and I highly, highly recommend Dr. Metzl.
