I was prescribed MRSA pills and cream, the rash is gone and my skin is 10 years younger and not gross and itchy from ivermectin - I had staph. Doctor failed to recognize staph.

I could understand having $100 admin fee for the aesthetic part of the business but when it comes to seeing a medical doctor for a regular annual skin check that is fully covered by insurance, there are just so many levels of cringe tied into this. Again, if the fee could be applied to the bill, I get it, but the fact that it is a nonrefundable fee that is never applied to any amount that you owe, makes no sense. They canceled my appointment an hour before I was due in the office because I wouldn't pay the fee. They allowed me to schedule the appointment even though I refuse to pay the fee, but didn't honor it on the day I was going in. It shows that the fee had nothing to do with a no-show concern since I was on my way. It made no sense. I definitely will not be doing business again with Westport dermatology.

Dr. Czernik has an impressive academic background, multiple years experience, and presently teaches at Yale New Haven Hospital. I finally got through to Dr. Grace Bandow, she kindly answered my questions and concerns regarding the medication change, but did not seem to care that her staff treated me poorly. I informed her that I was going to look for a new provider based on the care that I received and she seemed very indifferent and offered no apology. So if you would like to be treated like a number if you would like to be treated like a piece of dirt, then this is the dermatologist office for you. If you can be professional then you dont deserve a thriving business. Do yourself a favor and skip this practice.

I was diagnosed with a life threatening illness and am beyond grateful that I finally got real direction from Dr Godwin so I wasn't wasting anymore time. The Drs I saw prior to Dr Godwin unethically just prescribed various antibiotics which were pointless as they did no testing of any kind to see exactly what type of treatmebt I needed. Although I'm still struggling to find the best medical treatment for my illness, I am grateful Dr Godwin was able to get me headed in the right direction. I would highly recommend this practice as the staff ( Jean esp) has been so supportive and accommodating as I've battled this disease. I've suffered chronically for several years to the point I started to doubt myself. I got to a point that I started to question if my symptoms were all in my head. I can honestly say that I would trust Dr.Godwin's professional opinion or treatment with my children. Words honestly can't express how much I appreciate the support, experience, and the fact that he took my words into account vs. brushing off my concerns. When I switched offices, a biopsy immediately revealed invasive basal cell carcinoma. I required Mohs surgery, leaving a 5-inch scar down the middle of my cheek. Despite multiple calls and emails, Modern Dermatology sent a auto response and did not send medical records requested. This office feels more cosmetic than medical -- not where you want to go for serious dermatology issues.
