I was a patient at Modern Dermatology in Westport for over 3 years. A brown spot on my cheek was repeatedly dismissed as acne, and filler was even added to it -- which another doctor later said should never have been done. When I switched offices, a biopsy immediately revealed invasive basal cell carcinoma. I required Mohs surgery, leaving a 5-inch scar down the middle of my cheek. Despite multiple calls and emails, Modern Dermatology sent a auto response and did not send medical records requested. This office feels more cosmetic than medical -- not where you want to go for serious dermatology issues. read more

This place is a factory churning patients in and out with poor quality care. I went in for a rash on my forehead that was misdiagnosed as jock itch. I also bought a package of 3 microneedling sessions that I didn't need (and bought just to get Tara to stop talking). After four appointments for my rash that Dr Robinson and crew couldn't figure out how to treat, I decided to switch to John Jasinski, PA at CT Dermatology. John doesn't push products or treatments, he actually addresses skin problems! It was psoriasis, that's all that was and micro-needling wasn't the answer. And honestly, does Dr Robinson really care if she solves your problem? No, not one bit. If you're looking for a doctor to treat your problems clinically (and get it right the first time), don't go to Modern, go to John Jazinsky. If you're looking for cosmetic treatments that provide natural results, don't go to Modern, go to Brit at Luxe Level Aesthetics in Darien. read more

Was referred out to see a dermatologist by my cosmetologist.Called a bunch of places and no one had any appointments within 6 months nor taking new patients. Found Modern Dermatology online, they were able to get me in within a week.Biopsy was done and yes needed surgery ASAP. Had it done there as well. Everything went smoothly. Dr Klein and her staff have delivered both effective pre cancerous skin treatment for me and also great cosmetic treatment guidance and care. With a separate cosmetic concierge (thanks Tara!) I feel confident that I am getting both great medical care and anti aging advice. Dr Klein takes the time to listen and is very thoughtful with her advice. I saw Dr Robinson twice in 2019. The first time I didn't love the results, but the second time i asked her for more and her second injection worked beautifully. i returned after being fully vaccinated. Her staff took photos Etc. i asked Dr Robinson to inject the same area. This time she Injected me a couple of inches lower, near my mouth! The communication skills and staff is still not up to par with other places along with the cold and sterile environment (not spa like at all) but I can't get enough of Juliana. Annoying as they do not seem to pick up their phones so you always have to leave a message to try to make an appt. I might be used to my rather old school type of dermatologist I used to see many years ago but this place wasn't for me. I had a feeling when i walked in this was more of a cosmetically centered place. Tried to sell me a facial soap bar that cost $48.00. (I looked at the simple ingredients and I could surely purchase them and make the soap myself for under $10). I went their for 2 reasons - one to have broken capillaries around my nose looked at and the other for a skin check/moles. Doctor gave me what the cost would be for laser removal (almost fell off my chair!) but told me to go back in a few months for a skin check. I felt rushed and why would I need to pay for another visit when the skin check could have and should have been done right then and there? Isn't it best to check a patient at earliest convenience in case they show signs of melanoma?? I asked her to please at least look at just one mole that was most concerning to me after too much time in the sun this summer and at least she did that. Also strange a girl came in writing notes during the appointment. Would be polite practice if they told patient why someone entered the room during examination staring at you while taking notes. Someone highly recommended this place to me. I don't know-- maybe botox and facials are her thing. Could be a great place for that. read more

I am so impressed with Modern Dermatology. Dr. Robinson is a master injector. The results you get when you see her are natural looking -- but sooo much better than what nature gave you. I got the impression that this office is focused more on trying to sell cosmetic treatments to benefit someones overall appearance. If you have a serious skin issue they will avoid,neglect,ignore or misdiagnose you. There secretary is was argumentative,dishonest and unhelpful. If you have a serious skin issue I would suggest looking elsewhere. I pointed out the blatantly obvious issue I was having. I feel they ignored the current,pressing and important issue that I came there for. They focused on anything else but the issue at hand. Dr. Robinson is truly a wonderful doctor. I originally saw her for rosacea treatment, and her skill with the laser got my skin looking amazing. I have since done some microbotox treatments, and it always looks beautiful and natural. Everyone tells me how great I look after her treatments, but can't put a finger on what was done. I went there due to extreme dry skin on my face that became itchy and red. Dr.Klein gave me a misdiagnosis and put me on a heavy duty antibiotic ointment that I didn't need, failed to do anything to help, and that made me sick. She didn't ask many questions during my exam or even examine my skin thoroughly. Just took one look and a swab and sent me on my way with a misdiagnosis - which hers by the way was a pretty serious and contagious bacterial infection (it was actually dry skin in reality due to the cold and dry weather). My dry skin condition worsened. I was told they would have the results of a skin culture 48 hours later . I had zero follow up as promised and I had to call twice to get the results of my skin culture that I never even needed 3 business days later. Turns out it was (as i suspected) extreme dry skin! The doctor didn't even bother to speak to me- the nurse did. When she spoke to me she said "well the Augmentin should help" Whhhaaaaat? I had not even been prescribed that antibiotic by their office and I asked if she had the right patient papers in front of her. No one knows what they are doing here. They didn't apologize or seem to care AT ALL that I had been misdiagnosed and made sick from the wrong medicine and that made my skin even worse. They could make someone very sick. I could have been on the way to a quick recovery but this practice added 5 painful days. read more

If there were more stars to give, I would. The establishment itself is very chic and trendy and the staff is very warm and welcoming. Modern Dermatology was also very clean! Traveled from Westchester County to go and see Dr. Klein, and it was well worth it! She was super sweet and helpful, as this was my first time getting botox. She made me feel completely at ease and answered each and every question I had. The follow up call was worth mentioning as well, when they call to check in to see how you are doing the next day, very professional. At Modern Dermatology, I felt right at home and will definitely be going back for another visit. I am not surprised to find a 3 star rating here - or that the last 6 months of google reviews are negative. They are very rude and dismissive or your concerns straight out of the gate. I am so sick of clinics run by women being so rude to women! You are a dermatologist's office, if you don't like listening to various concerns people have about their skin - find a new profession. I went in there hoping to come out with a plan for my skin, and just got their products thrown at me and a doctor who looked at me like she didn't understand what I was asking her. Note: This review is all based on facts. Parents note that you have to understand your child's skin condition and not rely on this office to guide you correctly. I wanted to believe that some of these reviews were not accurate and I wanted to give this office the benefit of a doubt that there service is better than these reviews. Which is why I am taking the time to leave a review and share our experience. We were looking for a pediatric dermatologist, with some hesitance we decided on seeing Dr. K. After 1st treatment the condition continued to spread. When the office was called to, we received resistance from the staff to fit the child in sooner than the schedule appointment. After insisting we were finally accommodated to confirm that the condition needed medical attention. There should be a system in place to accommodate this situation. Their follow up process needs to be improved. The next red flag was when two prescription items were sent in to the pharmacy with the incorrect instruction on how to use and apply. I queried this at the pharmacy who stated you need to call the doctor since this is the instruction that was given. The instruction sent to the pharmacy and what was said in the doctor office was different. I called the office left a message about this, no one followed up call after a week. Only to here from front desk about an upcoming appointment. Are they only about getting you in the door for the next bill? With this lack of medical attention, I was concerned that my child was not receiving the best care. When I spoke with Dr. K she was very clinical about my concerns only to defend the shortfalls and mistake of her medical team. Rather than being sensitive to the situation, her concern was only to read off the office notes and ignore the prescription mistake and rigidity to accommodate a child's appointment. Unfortunately, the arrogance of a doctor does not lead to a good practice. These issues lead me to move my child and seek better pediatric care and treatment. I have been to many dermatologist and she is the only one who takes the time to truly help you and get you through the process. I booked an appointment.. and was excited by other reviews but then was called back after booking and accused by their secretary, Lisa of disconnecting my credit card from their 'square' account. When I said, I'm not sure how I would even do that, she then went on to nastily tell me I needed to put a credit card on file for the appointment and not disconnect it.... (???) I never received confirmation for the appointment so I assume she did something on her end that didn't go through.... In the end I had enough of the attitude and before I cold even finishing asking to just cancel the appointment, she hung up! WOW read more

I have been going to Dr. Robinson for PRP treatments for the last year. We have been more than successful and I am continuing treatments. She is personable, informative, and is easy to speak with. I highly recommend if you are balding or your hair is thinning to try PRP its not 100% effective but it is worth a try! read more

I had an amazing hydrafacial with Jet today! I felt at ease as soon as i walked in and noticed how clean and chic the esthetic of the office was. The facial was relaxing and my skin felt and looked so nice after just one session.
