I went to Dr. Gettler for the first time ; and may I say he is one of the best dermatologists in the area. I have never seen his name pop up before - and I am glad I found him because since 2016 I could not find a dermatologist to take my dermatitis or skin issues seriously. He also will look at your condition and even inspect your condition instead of sitting 4 feet away and not caring. I am glad I saw him and I have faith in his treatment plan for me as I have had it in the past by a NYC dermatologist... These other reviews seem odd. He truly is great and thorough, kind and on time His nurse also made sure I had all my medications by end of the business day and even went through my insurance and mail order pharmacy

On the 3rd call the receptionist tried to set up a televisit with a different person. I refused to pay another $50 when at minimum Dr. Evans could have responded to the messages left for her. Or called in the perscription that we discussed during the initial visit. Needless to say I will not be going back for a follow up and have scheduled an appointment with a different Doctor.

I have to say my skin has never looked better. What I love most is that she brings all the latest and most effective in the cosmetic dermatology world to her patients. My latest favorite treatment she is offering is the 3 D Miracle: a fast, 10-15 minute, low-downtime, and generally low-pain laser skin resurfacing treatment to enhance skin tone, texture, and brightness effect by promoting natural collagen stimulation and removing dead skin cells to target fine lines and sunspots. It has treated my acne scars and appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and virtually made them disappear. I can actually see the difference in my skin texture! I highly recommend this treatment for all skin types. So far I have had two treatments done within a few months of eachother. I can't speak to their professional competence or skill as doctors, but I had a negative experience…read morewith this practice. The biggest problems for me as a prospective new patient were: (1) Lack of price transparency: they refuse to provide even basic pricing information (for out-of-pocket, cosmetic skin treatments) without a consultation. This forces customers who might otherwise look elsewhere for treatment to schedule a consultation and pay a hefty "consultation fee". SIDENOTE: at the consultation, which lasts all of about 5-10 minutes, I still had to twist the doctor's arm to provide pricing details for the procedures I wanted. (2) The consultation fee: a staff member told me over the phone that the doctors will "usually" apply the $215.00 consultation fee to the cost of future treatments. This information turned out to be wrong and/or misleading. The doctor refused to apply any part of my consultation fee to any future procedures (which would have cost me several thousand dollars). They then explained that the decision to apply the fee to future treatment is actually always a discretionary, case-by-case decision -- this was definitely not the impression I got when I booked the appointment. (3) Bedside manner and staff: in general, the staff was not very friendly (both on my arrival at the office and over the phone) and the doctor was contrarian and aloof. For example, when I repeated some information she gave me back to her (trying to understand it), she goes, "don't put words in my mouth." Based on this experience, I would be wary of dealing with this practice, even if they are technically proficient at what they do.
