I was extremely exhausted as well and didn't feel right ; I was told I have keratosis and pustular rosacea and I believed it, upon getting my eye exam the other day my doctor said my eyelids were so clean there is no way I have rosacea or mites - with the rash still persistent on my lower lip line accompanied by what looked like a deep zit / bloody nose , I went to urgent care - I have MRSA - and staph infection of the left nostril and face. I was prescribed MRSA pills and cream, the rash is gone and my skin is 10 years younger and not gross and itchy from ivermectin - I had staph. Doctor failed to recognize staph.

I could understand having $100 admin fee for the aesthetic part of the business but when it comes to seeing a medical doctor for a regular annual skin check that is fully covered by insurance, there are just so many levels of cringe tied into this. Again, if the fee could be applied to the bill, I get it, but the fact that it is a nonrefundable fee that is never applied to any amount that you owe, makes no sense. They canceled my appointment an hour before I was due in the office because I wouldn't pay the fee. They allowed me to schedule the appointment even though I refuse to pay the fee, but didn't honor it on the day I was going in. It shows that the fee had nothing to do with a no-show concern since I was on my way. It made no sense. I definitely will not be doing business again with Westport dermatology.

I kept coming to Connecticut dermatology; after a bump on my face turned into a full blown rash in my nose , on my nostrils , sides of my mouth and chin. I was told I had rosacea , which was only half of the issue. I actually have severe dandruff and overgrowth of skin mites which the common diagnosis for that is "keratosis" I got so sick and my face got so messed up I ended up calling a random dermatologist who prescribed me scalp medication , two face medications and a bar soap. To say now I am better , but, you can't diagnose a skin condition by looking at a patient 10 feet across the room! The dermatologist I went to see at Westport dermatology, got up and close with my rash and actually asked me questions and sent me for bloodwork I just think, when it comes to conditions, it's important to seek other treatment options when one doctor fails to diagnose you .
