This place is fantastic! As for the service, Bryan, our waiter , was super efficient and went out of his way to cater to our needs. He was very friendly and it was like seeing a good friend again. This is a reliably good time with a super wait and bar staff, great energy in the bar and a nice, quieter hometown restaurant space on the side. The food is solid pub/hometown restauramt food: great burgers and sandwiches with straightforward American entrees if you're really hungry...all to go with an excellent beer selection. The hostess was so friendly! I was in a good mood immediately after she greeted us. Our waitress came out shortly and greeted us too. We already knew what we wanted since we had checked out the Yelp app. It was right on! For me, seafood nachos. My husband got grilled chesse. I wasn't paying attention when he ordered or I would have suggested he get chips instead of the fries he ordered. They were pretty salty he said, but beyond that, it would have been good to try the homemade potato chips! Besides they tacked two dollars on for fries, chips would have been free, I thought the Craft beer was excellent. The one I got was a cider, sweet... maybe too sweet actually. I didn't want all of it, but that's my fault. It's not somethng I usually order. I cannot even express how good the Nachos were. Huge chunks of crab, and the sauce... I wound up eating alot of it with a fork.. the tortilla chips were homemade. We had a great meal. It was on the heavy side though. Will definitely go back. read more

Warm, friendly service and good food. Lupe hand makes awesome cheesesteak egg rolls! Burgers were pretty tasty. Homemade chips were nice and crispy but needed some seasoning, just a little salt would have helped. read more

We stumbled on this place for lunch after attending a local horse show. It has all the typical favourites of any grill and puts a bay themed spin on a lot of dishes (read: old bay on anything) - it's a good thing I love old bay. We only visited the dining room which was small, but not over crowded. The service was spectacular and the food was great. The only reason I didn't put the last star was that even though they had a kids section on the menu, they didn't particularly cater to kids with coloring paper and crayons although they did have plastic kids cups. I have been back to the restaurant since the first time and was equally happy. read more

I brought my in-laws for a quick bite out. My family's food was great - they all had typical fish and chips. The service is good - quick with water refills. However, this is the second time that I have ordered their entrée of tuna (advertised as cooked to your desire) with a side of vegetable and another side. I ordered my tuna rare and received it well-done. The side of unseasoned vegetables was from a bag of frozen corn, peas, and green beans. I assumed the veggies would have been fresh cut and steamed or sauteed. I ordered applesauce as my other side, which was from a jar with a little cinnamon sprinkled on top. It tasted good, but honestly, Cracker Barrel, which is crap, gives you apple chunks! I do not like going out to eat because I know that I expect good food when I pay for it. So, I'll be gentle with this review: the fish and chips entrées were great according to my in-laws. For the second time, my food (overcooked tuna, frozen unseasoned veggies, and applesauce from a jar) was less than adequate for the $17.00 price. Note: I did not post a negative review the first time I had this meal since I like to give places a second chance. The atmosphere is nice and I love going there for a drink. The food is bland and disappointing. The seafood nachos came out cold, and the "seafood cream sauce" tasted like water and flour. With regards to the crab dip, and eastern shore staple, I have one thing to say: do you CARE to add CRAB to your CRABDIP. I've lived in Centreville for the past 15 years of my life, and I can say with confidence that this restaurant has gone to trash. The wait staff is rude, and were extremely condescending to my pregnant friend. Better hope you have money, or they won't bother to give you the lollipops with the bill or even semi-decent service. Cold undercooked baked potato, cold over cooked prime rib, medium means well here apparently so beware. Rubbery shrimp placed on the in-edible prime rib for surf and turf special. Waitress was pleasant even after complaining of cold breeze from back door where smokers paraded in and out. Asked for a pub table in the middle of the room, after sitting a while and realizing the back door table was a mistake., only to find ourselves under a wind tunnel from the cold ventilation system. I was with my not feeling so well daughter so I didn't feel right complaining to a waitress who was already overburdened with drunken loud patrons. We weren't offered the quiet tables in the dining room when we entered, we sorta discovered them by chance after being placed by the cold breezy back door next to a big loud seeming to be intoxicated bar patron as we WERE in the bar. The back dining room turned out to be perfect for us, if only the food wasn't presenting itself as the result of an overburdened and/or undertrained staff. A sure waste of 60 hard earned dollars. Maybe a Tuesday night would have been better..... read more

Doc's is the best small-town restaurant/bar you will find in the area! Never had bad food here & always great service! I recommend eating on the bar side--it's family friendly (just sit at a table instead of the bar itself), sports are always up on the TVs, great atmosphere & music! You won't regret your visit!! They can get busy at times but the food never disappoints! read more

Docs is very much a local hangout. They have managed to master what so many restaurants on the shore have not - consistency. There are no water views from the restaurant as the Corsica River is about two blocks away. Some may like the food, some may not but it is usually very consistent and competent fair. It is not the Inn at Perry Cabin or the Four Seasons it is a casual American fare restaurant that knows their clientele and caters to them. They have regular specials through the week including a wing night and a burger night. Yes the drinks can be on the spendy side but again they are consistent and competent. Docs is easily.the most popular restaurant in Centreville largely because they are able to maintain a consistent standard of fare and service. The owners are also very active in the local community and do a lot of work for local charities. Docs is definitely worth a try and is a go to place for me when I really don't want to cook. Do not miss Adele's spring rolls - they are made by a local woman and are fantastic. They feature homemade chips with sandwiches and the tropical shrimp cocktail is a favorite of mine as well. Docs is well worth a visit and it is important for county residents to support a local business that does so much for our community. read more

Local watering hole with consistent service. Food is what you expect; typical American bar grub. I don't think you can walk out of the place without a thousand calories under your belt. That being said, my family and I come once a month to eat. Very causal, very sports orientated. read more

Most of the time the food and service are fine so I guess I shouldn't complain however this one experience had my food completely forgotten not once but twice. Asked about it the first time (after everyone else at the table got their appetizers and meals) and was told it was coming right up, waited about 20 minutes (it was just a nacho appetizer) and asked again. Server said they just checked and it was being processed and should be up soon. Excuse was that it was confusing in the kitchen due to a large party, however the rest of the group had no issues getting their meal so I guess It was not that confusing. Now, to be honest, this was the first really bad experience I have had so I shouldn't be too negative. I will probably still continue to go there on occasion since it is normally ok and there are not really many other choices for this type of restaurant locally. read more

The food and service are fantastic at this bar and grill located just outside of Centreville. They offer a quiet dining room as well as an expansive bar area with plenty of wearing and tv's to watch your favorite sporting event. Highly recommend for lunch, dinner, or a few drinks read more
