Cool little shanty on the water. I went in the evening so not much to look at lol, but such great weather I sat outside. Staff was great, very friendly and kept tables clean as customers came and went. The raw oysters were delicious! I was a little disappointed in the fish tacos as, they said it was the number one seller in their taco selection. The fish was cooked very well and the flavor was on point, but the taco condiments (cheese, tomatoes, mango salsa) brought the taste down and by a lot (poor quality and too much). Very small beer list but the ones they had were good. Oh and the fries were amazing!! Not sure of the seasoning but it totally worked. 5 stars for location, 5 for staff, 3 for food (mainly the tacos), 3.5 for beer list. Overall satisfied. read more

I have come here at least once a month for the past year. Not only is the food phenomenal, but the vibe of the establishment is the best. It's location right on Tom's Bayou and it's decor gives it almost a New Orleans feel. One of the best burgers I've ever had, the Ship-wrecker's Dream, is on their menu. I will recommend this gem to anyone who visits the area. The only problem people might have with the place is the longer wait times for food. I promise you that the food is worth it though! They were the biggest oysters we've had in this entire area! Visited with my husband on a Sunday afternoon. We had no trouble finding seating and sat outside right on the water. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the shipwreckers dream burger. All of the food was DELICIOUS. They also give active duty military their second beer free every day! You order your food inside/the bar area and the server brings the food out to you. Got two dozen oysters and hush puppies. The service was great. We sat outside and it was super chill and relaxing. The server came to check on us often, drinks were always filled, and the food was great. If I'm in the area, I'd definitely visit. The oysters are about $1 cheaper than AJ's in Destin. read more

We were told that they were famous for wings because they are smoked in house. I think "famous" is aspirational but they weren't bad. Average naked wings with sauce on the side. My initial thoughts from parking the car was a little terror. It looked like it could be a biker bar on the other side of a shady town. But after re-reviewing yelp and confirming it was the right place we stopped in. From the moment we opened the door, complete strangers were greeting us and telling us how great the food was. Now we felt at home. There are no servers as you order at the counter. The menu is simple 4 pages but the back page is the Oyster Fiesta page. As I approached the counter and placed my order of 2 dozen raw oysters, the guy behind suggested that I try a 3 way which is a mix and match of a variety of grilled oysters. So we ordered 1 dozen raw and 1/2 dozen grilled. By far these were the best oysters that I've had in my life. This place should be featured on diners and drivers! We met Kay from Homestead, now a local resident and city commissioner who helped remove the debris from our table as we devoured the 3 dozen oysters that we eventually ate. This place has changed my life and will be a staple anytime I'm near Destin OR Niceville. Oh the views from the outside tables are serene as it does reside on the bank of a lake. read more
