This was a long overdue doctor's visit for me. Let me just say - Don't be scared - just make the appointment if you need it and go! In short, my paranoia was easily subsided once I got there. I was seen efficiently upon arrival, had a brief consult during the check-in process to go over some details of the visit and afterward. I was treated professionally with courtesy and respect. Ultimately I was satisfied with my appointment and wished I hadn't waited soo long to make my it. Dr. Rothman was very professional, straightforward and to the point, no B.S.ing around, and the young man (sorry I missed his name) taking care with the check-in process was comforting, informative & friendly. Don't wait - make the appointment! Shoulda, Coulda and Woulda got a 5-star - However, let me explain the 4-star rating...because you have to read the book before you judge the cover. Super easy to find, good parking, decent signage, but the lobby upon entering seemed as if you were in the wrong office; like maybe they were moving in and/or the last tenant hadn't yet moved out - either way you knew you were in a Dr's office...just not sure which one :-/ as the sign outside didn't match the Chiropractic office name that was on the wall once inside :-/. Recommendations: UPLOAD YOUR DOCUMENTS IF POSSIBLE! Otherwise, bring your medical records with you. Records from another Dr verifying you suffer from one of the treatable conditions is imperative. (If you are having your records transferred Dr to Dr, I would definitely call in advance to verify they received the records.) Make sure your address on file with the Dr and what is on your DL is exactly the same; especially when he/she sends your approval to the State. Any differences will trigger a rejection at the State level. ** If approved - Get your Patient # before you leave, you will need it to register for your card. Best of Luck! Feel Better!! read more

Got checked in and seen the Dr right away that's not the issue, the issue is as it states on the DOH website I would have a password for the registry in 5 to 7 days, so I'm pending due to some missing medical records because the state I came from will not release them to the you they have to be signed for by your new Dr I told them this before I came in they said keep the appointment anyway they were nice and a clean office but after it was over he said he would recommend me pending my medical records so now the receptionist told me it will be 5 months and there was another guy at the check in that wreaked of weed so bad I could smell it before I went through the door to the reception area so he is getting it or getting it off the black market or somehow got around the system either way I whispered to him don't leave I'll be right out because I need medical grade the like right now I can't wait 5 stupid months and when the receptionist told me 5 months I said are you kidding he said "oh well" so I left pissed off got ripped off by another Dr so I was hoping the dude was still there hell no he burned out of that parking lot so fast he left rubber on the ground plus he was driving a brand new BMW black guy with dreads I wanted to just ask him where I can get it off the black market he must of thought I was a cop but why would I be there trying to get my MMJ card, the Dr was only concerned about my PTSD and diabetes he wouldn't even let me explain my other medical problems and the visit lasted less than 10 min when it's supposed to be 20 all they want is your money they could care less about you needing thc, this is the Gainesville FL location read more

I've been a patient with DocMJ for about a year now. Initially I paid $199.99 for the doctor appointment and years worth of renewals of my recommendation. Unfortunately the law changed in June that we need to see the doctor twice a year for the follow up to keep us active in the registry. I've shopped around for another doctor because now DocMJ charges $169 every 7 months. Seemed a little high to me but after shopping around I found that DocMJ really is the best choice out there. Other others want to have you come in for your renewals and charge anywhere from $125 - $175 a visit after having already paid the initially visit fee of $200. I won't be able to afford the medication if I choose to go elsewhere. I will STAY with DocMJ and refer anyone that may ask me about this. I saw Dr. Nicholas Bottaro at the New Port Richey, FL office. He and his staff are amazing! I had already filled out the extensive medical history online the day before my visit so the young lady who took my vitals and the doctor both knew what was going on with me. Dr. Bottaro was very friendly and very knowledgeable about my health problems. He explained in great detail how the usage of each of his recommendations was going to work within my body and the effects each would have. I have multiple health problems that make me eligible and the doctor made sure to prescribe exactly what I needed for day and night. My husband went along with me and the doctor even took the time to answer a couple of questions my husband had about some of his health issues. I had a pretty good experience here. I saw Peter Calkin, he was super nice and knew how to answer all my questions. I didn't choose a specific doctor so I didn't know what to expect at first but I was pleasantly surprised and will from now on highly recommend him. I will agree that the waiting room was bare but honestly the comfortable chairs made up for that if you ask me. Most doctors offices have terrible waiting room chairs but these chairs were great! They took my heart rate and weight before I saw Dr. Calkin and then shortly after I was called in by Dr. Calkin. Overall a very good experience, I didn't have to wait long and if I ever did have to wait long at least I'd be comfortable. Everyone was friendly and well informed there as well. Just had my renewal appointment with Dr Chung, so my second visit with him as wonderful as the first. Very kind of professional right to the point with the questions on how things are working and lets you proceeded to explain for yourself. Things could not be quicker smoother or any easier so long as you follow instructions given an advance. And let me tell you they have your back every moment. I'm still being screwed over by DOCMJ. I finally got through to the Billing department at DOCMJ. They are taking $50 out of my refund because they canceled my appointment. I didn't cancel the appointment, they did. I was ten minutes late due to circumstances beyond my control . They kept saying that I didn't show up for my appointment and that's why they were keeping the 50 dollars of my fee. Also, it took me 3 business days to finally get ahold of them. This place is a joke and doesn't care about you. It's all about how much money they can extract from your wallet. I'm still waiting for a call back from the billing supervisor. I bet he doesn't call. I saw Dr. Lenka in Jacksonville Florida. The fee is only $169 for 7 months. You do not pay again until your 7 month renewal. This is a great service for the community. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Lenka and she went over some suggestions with me. Her assistant Traci was amazing and very knowledgable as well. I love DocMJ and will continue to use their services. I'll be using Dr. Lenka again. I have not heard anything negative about any of the Doctors in this group. You can't beat the price with this type of friendly service.
