Paid for a renewal and scheduled teleconfrence call. a month before the recommendation expired. They took my money and then a week before the appointment, i find out my license is not vaild because my doctor recommendation had expired. They scheduled me an appointment a week after the expiration, with out telling me. I found out at the dispensery, the hard way. When I called docmj, they said just wait for the call to re-qualify in a week. I said I would like my money refunded she said it would take 10 to 14 days to process. I am an ex patient of heavily prescribed pharmaceuticals, withdrawing from medication prescribed by my previous psychiatrist; I showed up 11 minutes late due to side affects such as, twitching and seizure like symptoms, had to pull over a couple of times.. I tried to find an office number in my emails to notify them but could not find one attached. (They later apologized for not including a phone number) I finally arrive and I felt the complete opposite of a patient. The doctor and her staff member questioned why I didn't call in advance (there was no number in the emails). I was told I had to wait longer now (understandably so). The doctor and her employee continued to have an entire conversation together as if I was NOT standing right there. Completely disregarding my condition, feeling a little dehumanized, they continued to criticize me for being 11 minutes late. This was an interesting "doctors" visit. Overall, I received what I came for, was seen in a timely manner, and was treated with courtesy and respect. The lobby looked post apocalyptic as if they were either moving in or out and left it like they just decided to go with that look. A star lost for the lobby, this is an easy fix for you guys and would lend so much to making your clients feel they are in a reputable and professional center. It wouldn't take much to make it a little more put together. The doc wore a T-shirt with the solar system or some metaphysical icon on it. A little weird but ok, she was nice but lacked that polished professionalism you'd expect. Invest $40 in some scrubs. The doc verified my need, typed up the report and sent it to the state. It was all pretty cut and dry. A star lost for not submitting my name as it reads in my DL or telling me that the address on the application should match my DL. Info I would have liked beforehand: I recommend having your current address in your drivers license and verify that docs submission accurately reflects what's on your id. Any differences will trigger a rejection at the state level. Call two weeks prior to your appt to verify they have requested your medical records. If they have not, it's not a bad idea to gather the info on your own to avoid delays. Mri reports, previous prescriptions, surgery reports, etc. Anything that verifies you have a condition treatable with med marijuana. Good luck. read more

This place has gone down hill. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Just lost my appt today because the office assumed that I no longer wanted it without speaking to me. When I called, they refused to honor the appointment and I was not having it. Then, after I made an appt with another doctor, all of a sudden the appt was reconfirmed, and a new email confirmation sent. Then ten minutes befire my appt I was informed they gave the spot away and could not see me. At this point, they offered to fix with a new time but I booked the original time for a reason. I am not otherwise available. Decided to just keep the appt with the new doc. Between hold times and multiple phone calls, I spent an hour and a half of my day just trying to maintain an appt that I scheduled a week ago. DocMJ used to be great when they first started but after the cluster today I highly recommend you choose someone else. read more

This was a great improvement over my last visit with them when they were on Orange Ave. Saw Dr Zelikovsky - same dr. as last visit & everything proceeded as planned. I saw Dr. Chung and he was fantastic. Super nice and friendly! I also got seen very quickly, which was nice. Very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The only bad thing I have to say is that the office seems very make-shift. The front door was hard to get into, and then when you go inside the building is old and it feels abandoned. Horrible. Awful. They like to remind you over and over how if you cancel they get to keep your money...but when they cancel with no notice and offer no good solutions you're screwed. If you're sick and depend on meds, go to a place that will actually help you and not tell you that they can't help because of corporate "protocol". And this is just the latest issue. The last 2 interactions I've had with DocMJ prior to this 3rd and final one we're just as bad. This is a review of my initial appointment. The office building was easy to find, right off of Colonial. I made the appt online with Dr Rothman and paid my $169 fee when the appt was booked. The website also clearly states refund policies/rescheduling rules/fees, etc. I was sent text message reminders of my appt date and time. In those messages was a door code needed for entry.The assistant called me back and took my vital signs. Then she explained the process of getting a med marijuana card. She gave me a paper explaining the different strains and delivery systems.Then I saw Dr Rothman, who briefly looked over the history & physical from my primary care doctor and said that was enough to qualify me. He entered my data into his computer system and gave me my patient number. He explained I'd get an email from the state so I could finish processing my card. read more

VERY DECEIVING . I paid up front for my initial visit , and 6 month follow up. I received the call for booking my follow up and was told I had to pay yet ANOTHER $169.00. My follow up appointment was already paid for in my package , however they require you to now pre-pay for another year. If you dont do it right then during the phone call they will not honor your follow up services. What if you dont want to continue on with them ?? They are forcing you to pay another year or refusing to give you a service they already charged you for ?? Needless to say , the Media will be advised of this scam. You should be advised as well. Due to Covid-19, I was asked if I would like to switch to a telemedicine virtual meeting for my renewal appointment. I happily obliged. My meeting was with Dr. Wen Ting Zheng-Smith and she was efficient, helpful and kind. My appointment lasted a few minutes and was so much easier than making the 40 minute total drive out there and back. Visited the Clearwater location, made an appointment for 5pm the Friday before (they had evening & Sat appts too). Submitted all the paperwork online and paid the $169. Received reminder via text of my appointment. Arrived on time, it is well located in the same building as Trulieve which is convenient. I am already registered with the state but chose to change Docs. The process was very simple, the Doc answered my questions. Suggested that CBD would be better for my condition than THC and made suggestions of what to try. They handle the renewal every 70 days, I don't need to see him again for 7 months. A million times easier, smoother and cheaper than the Doc I was seeing before, who charged $350 first visit and then $150 every 70 days and I had to see him. I went here recommended from redditors. The entire thing was fairly easy. You have to pay $169 before going in for the consultation. And also you have to have a medical condition that qualifies on your medical record. Usually there's no need to bring documents since you sign hippa or fill out paperwork before coming in. $169 is the cheapest out there right now, so besides a lack of warmth in the office, I had no complains. I was greeted by Dr. Choug's assistant, and given paper work on the matter and explained everything before I saw the doc. I waited less than 2 minutes and saw the doc, then he looked me up in the computer and asked for my middle name to find my records in the medical system. I was then talked about CBD (no high) and its great benefits and also about THC. Also I was told about the amount I would be getting and how for long to use it. I was also given print outs and advices that if there are any problems I can always call the office or email. I was told I could go home, and pay my $75 fee with the state and wait for my card. I arrived home after the visit and payed $75 plus $2.75 (Florida online payment convenience fee) if you pay through mail is just $75 but you have to wait longer. They said in 2-3 weeks I should get an email confirming everything and go with that into a dispensery. I would recommend DocMJ to anyone looking to alternative medicine like cannabis who has a prior condition. read more
