I love this place. You would totally expect it to be average food, maybe even below average diner style just by looking at it, but do not be fooled! The food is way above average!!!! Everything is delicious, down to the handcrafted lattes. I can't help but always get the Lobster Benedict because you can't just find that anywhere, it's a rule to eat seafood when you're by the bay (right?), and it's phenomenal. Great lunch place! We stopped by here after our morning of parasailing, and everyone in my family loved their lunch. I had the grilled Salmon salad and would change the cheese of blue cheese to feta or goat cheese instead. Blue cheese overpowered most of the salmon taste which is what I wanted more of. I dislike having to write bad reviews but I feel like our latest experience here was so much worse than the standard of quality Dockside Kitchen used to have. None of the food had any real flavor; short rib tacos were missing ingredients that were described on the menu and the meat had no flavor and was incredibly oily. The Mac n cheese tasted like they forgot to add the cheese aka no flavor at all, and the omelets were nothing to write home about either, esp for the price. Not sure if we will be back. read more

Really great service, nice little deck with a view of the bay and food that's a bit more photogenic than it is delicious. The menu is concise but well put together with instagram friendly options like avocado toast and all kinds of eggs benedict. Fresh squeezed OJ by the pitcher is an absolute must. Their standard side with breakfast items is rosemary home fries. Unfortunately the potatoes were pretty undercooked and went basically untouched on each of our plates. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, I'm just not a big complainer so next time I'll just ask for a different side. read more

The waitress did not come back after she dropped off our meal to ask us if we needed anything. We also had their French roast which was the best item on the menu. So disappointed with our breakfast this morning. Was here twice last year and the food was great, not so much this time. I ordered the choc chip pancakes and they were SUPER dry. About 4 choc chips per pancake. Mom got a burrito and the tortilla was gummy, brother got one was well. The presentation was horrible. Barely any potatoes and looked like it was missing a component, very lack luster. Dad got the shrimp omelette and said it was quite watery. None of us finished our meals. Complete waste of a meal and since we drove over 30 mins for this meal it's even more disappointing. Absolutely will not be coming back. Came here on a whim and definately wasnt disappointed. Food was delicious, well seasoned, and the view was fabulous depite being a cloudy morning. Sipping locally roasted coffee on the dock waiting for the food was definately a zen moment. We got the lobster benedict and the spinach and tomato omelette. The benedict was delicious and the bacon-onion jam was a nice surprise. The toast that comes with the omellete would have been worth the price by itself (seriously wheres it from?). The portions were also reasonable as well and we even had leftovers. If i had to give 1 piece of constructive criticism the hollandaise was a bit flat on flavor but other than that it was a great experience. Definately will be back with each OC trip read more

I had the Crab Cake Benedict & found it to be pretty tasty. It was made well and the food was good quality. The crab cake seemed to be mostly crab which was very good. I had hoped to be totally wowed by it given all the great reviews and while it was pretty tasty, but sadly I wasn't wowed. I also had a side salad and the Benedict came with what they call home fried potatoes. The potatoes were just cut up pan fried potatoes, not much special about them. Not a lot of seasoning & they required dipping in the provided ketchup as a result. Had I known I would have had the side salad instead of them. The side salad was good, but the balsamic vinaigrette dressing was a little too something. It kind of burned the back of my throat, maybe too much vinegar? I normally love vinegar and vinaigrette, so I am not sure how to exactly explain it, but, I would make sure to use a lot less of it next time. It was probably my fault for dousing my whole salad in it & using all they provided. The iced tea was very strong and seemed to have been over-steeped. I would go with just ice water on the next visit. Service was very pleasant, friendly & prompt. Prices seemed reasonable to be especially for a place on the water at the end of (at least I really hope so) the pandemic. Next time I will likely try the lobster Benedict & hope to be wowed. I know I might sound like a downer, it is a good place, I will go back and I will recommend it to others. I will have more realistic expectation next time. read more

This is the first time we ate at the Dock Side Kitchen. All I can say is wow ! The view was a great to start our morning looking over the bay, and the food was even better. We ordered the Lobster Benedict and the shrimp and lobster omelette, both were amazing. Picture attached is the Lobster Benedict. As you can see , there was no skimping on the Lobster . We also inquired about Gluten free options because we also have family members who are GF. I'm happy to report the they can simply switch out the bread , as all of the food/dips/spreads are GF. The waitress was fully versed on GF and menu options. The pricing was reasonable and staff from the front door to the tables were all very nice. They are doing it right ! If your in town , this is s great place to start your morning off right. It seems like the word is out on this gem, so plan accordingly. We ate breakfast Monday morning at around 9 and we were seated within 5 minutes. We passed the Dock Side Kitchen over the weekend riding our bikes and the line is quite long. Well worth the wait if that is your only option though :) read more

This is a great little place with some visually spectacular food. The seating area is on the water, hence the name "Dockside," which my kids and I really enjoyed. Dockside Kitchen was good, but nothing really great. The service was unfortunately slow and a bit inattentive, which obviously hinders our experience. My boyfriend was pretty upset to find out their 'classic' eggs Benedict doesn't have ham on it, and has a pork roll instead. My omelette was good, but the fruit on the side had some pretty mushy blueberries, and the toast was dry and tasted stale (and it wasn't just my toast). After having one meal here, it is now my favorite place for brunch. The setting and feel was great. Such nice staff! I enjoyed the salmon BLT on sourdough with home fries. My hubs had the dockside burger with french fries. We both loved our meal (even though his burger was cooked more on the well side than medium rare). There really isn't anything not to like about Dockside Kitchen (other than maybe being able to make reservations but I get it!). The view is beautiful. Service is fast and attentive. The food is delicious. We went there today for a party of 5. Was told our wait was 15-20 minutes but we were seated in less than 10 minutes. They have a great system where they text you when your table is ready. You can look at the view of the Bay while you wait. The food was delicious. We ordered Crab Benedict, Crab and Shrimp Omelette, Soft Shell Crab sandwich, Spinach and Tomato Omelette, Dockside Burger (not pictured) and Mixed Green salad (not pictured). We had a really great brunch here- the lobster toast was massive and delicious! The wait was rather long and when I peeked in the seating area- there were empty tables which is a bit annoying as I saw a ton of staff working! It's so nice to sit on the bay although the sea gulls were flying in to the deck and stealing loose food on the tables and the flies were biting! YIKES! This particular day was really hot and there was not a breeze to help cool us off so the kids were a little grouchy! They were able to watch other people doing the inflatable, floating obstacle course on the dock so that was nice. I also got a nice vanilla latte with a check in on the yelp app here! This is no doubt the best breakfast available in Ocean City, New Jersey! * Our party of seven arrived around 11:00 and put our name in! We had a 30 minute wait, but with the beautiful views and access to the docks, this was no issue! We were seated on time on the inside deck that came with a gorgeous view of the Ocean City bay! * Our waitress could not have provided better service! She was super bubbly, friendly, attentive, and personable! She took our drink orders promptly and consistently topped off our waters & coffees! She answered every question we had about the menu and made excellent recommendations! When I specially asked for my food to be prepared with no butter or oil due to my lactose intolerance, she took note and made sure the chefs prepared my meal in an entirely separate pan! She brought out condiments (hot sauce, ketchup, etc.) and the restaurants crab aioli without us even asking, which went amazing with the crispy breakfast potatoes! * Our entire order came out perfect and each plate looked like a masterpiece. It was obvious that the chefs took into account presentation! The portion sizes were HUGE, so you will definitely get your moneys worth when coming to this establishment (and leave feeling satiated). My shrimp and crab egg white omelette was cooked perfectly, the rosemary potatoes were perfectly crispy (you also had the option to get fresh berries), and the side of toast was just the right size! My mother's lobster roll was immaculate! My stepfathers/sisters French toast came with 6 thick brioche style slices (3 full pieces of bread) covered in fresh berries, powdered sugar, and a side of watermelon. My grandmothers omelette was just as delicious as mine! My little sister was able to customize a breakfast sandwich, which was perfect for picky eaters! Finally, the smoked salmon benedict was so worth the price! Their is something in the menu to suit everyone's needs and the food is simply delicious! * Overall, the combination of great tasting food, large portions, excellent service, and a beautiful location makes this establishment a 11/10 in my books! Plenty of lobster on both dishes and at $23 each fairly priced especially when considering your sitting waterfront. On the eggs Benedict I thought the lobster was a little bland and it seemed like the braised tomato overpowered the taste of the dish and couldn't really taste the bacon.
