We've had both before, and they were still excellent. I find it amazing that this place cooks every seafood perfectly - every time. Last night I decided to go with something lighter and ordered the seafood salad. I didn't really know what to expect, and it was a surprise to realize how good it was! A cold orzo salad with shrimp, crab, calamari, and scallops over a very small bed of lettuce and tomatoes. I mention how small the bed of lettuce was because I expected it to be much more lettuce and less seafood. Let's just say I was not at all disappointed! Every bite had seafood - and the light vinaigrette was perfect. I just added a few extra squeezes of lemon since I love lemony vinaigrette. The portion was generous and I had leftovers for lunch. We also had a dozen steamers. My partner had the fried oyster platter - cooked perfectly. I wish we had room for dessert, but maybe next time!

When I read the menu before coming I knew I really wanted to try the tacos. Between my wife and I we got to try 4 types: - Tuna: This was delicious. One of the best tuna tacos I've ever had. They used a nice strip of good tuna meat and seared it with a nice spice blend. - Mahi Mahi (grilled), Mushroom, Shrimp (fried): all were very good The only reason for only four stars was the price for the tacos. Compared to other restaurants that sell tacos they run roughly a dollar more than most establishments. However the quality of the tuna in my opinion does justify the higher price.

I'm thinking too much basil. The chicken didn't taste fresh I guess. I don't know how else to describe it. Our server was super busy, but still did a really good job. Again the burgers and fries are good so I would stick with that or the Pizza or Mexican next time.

The service was hospitable and caring from the gentleman who was unlocking the restaurant doors to get the place open, to the welcoming smile of the hostess who seated us to the waitress who was accommodating our needs to catch up and periodically and patiently checked back to see if we would like to place our orders. As in site has been explained in other reviews, the location is filled with books, decorations including a tin embossed ceiling and dark wood that provides an over all pub effect. No matter where you are seated you are sure to feel comfortable and if watching a game or two is on your list of items to do, they often have football/soccer on different screens.

The Salmon was perfectly prepared, and the Seafood risotto was also delicious. PRICE: Somewhat on the high side, but after all you are at the beach, and they love to charge you for that luxury. Good price/value relationship. I will be back in three weeks to dine here again. It is great to have a quality meal experience near OCNJ. That is a rare occasion other than breakfast in a town with many mediocre dining experiences.
