I tried the lemon curd and the strawberry milkshake. The filling is well portioned so you don't get a ton that squirts out when you bite into it. The space is cute, like an old Parlour, and they also offer specialty coffees. I loved them so much, I may have to make this a Friday morning tradition!

If you like the flavor, probably a 4/5 donut overall. They just weren't always my cup of tea. So the scores here are for personal enjoyment more than anything - like I said, they're solid donuts. Sour Watermelon (2/5): Holy smokes, this one felt like it was punching your taste buds. It's almost confusing on how this is in a donut form. It's more like a sour patch kid. It's intense. I don't think I could solo one. Mango Tajin (3/5): Similar to the sour Watermelon, it's perplexing how this is a donut. It was a bit spicy and tangy, just as the flavor implied. Cookies & Cream (3.5/5): Get ready to get messy. It's crumbly. It's sweet. It's more like a normal donut. Matcha Strawberry (4.5/5): My favorite of the weird flavors of donuts. They really aced the matcha flavor and it's well balanced for a donut. Blueberry Fritter (2.5/5): This was pretty hyped up, but honestly I felt like the blueberry flavor was overpowered just by the sheer amount of sugar. Texture was good, it just felt so sweet. Overall, I'd definitely recommend for a fun experience. Share some different flavors! Paid via inKind with no issues.

(4/5) Devils Playground ($4.45) - The donut base is dense with rich chocolate flavor, and coated with a chocolate ganache of just the right thickness. I hate it when donuts just have a smear of topping to make the donut look attractive, but does barely anything flavor wise. This one, on the other hand, is richly flavored. (4/5) Chocolate Raspberry ($3.65) - This is my favorite, same chocolate cake donut base as above but with bright berry notes and specks of seeds. The tangy berries do wonders to temper down some of the sweetness. (5/5) French Toast ($3.65) - My least favorite by far. Covered with peanuts (which is fine), but the cake donut base or perhaps the glaze tastes heavily earthy, like an overload of cinnamon and nutmeg. (2/5) People who expect the exact same texture as a non-vegan donut, both the cake and yeast types, will probably be disappointed. If I just think of these donuts as their own thing, they're actually quite good. There's another donut shop that I prefer down the street, but Mighty-O Donuts certainly isn't a bad choice for a sweet treat.

The reason for the review is they donuts did not taste fresh, we went around 11 and it seemed like a batch from earlier in the morning since the dough lacked that distinct airy and slightly crunchy bite-through when you get these donuts really fresh.

In my opinion, Doce Donuts #seattle has garnered significant attention from influencers, but I find myself disappointed with their limited operating hours and the high prices of their donuts. Priced between $5-6.50 each, it would be prudent for them to consider offering smaller sizes and adjusting their pricing strategy accordingly. It is disheartening to witness trendy establishments inflate costs without delivering an exceptional customer experience. Interestingly, just a short distance away, I can indulge in a pot of tea for a mere $5. This prompts me to reflect on the fundamental principles of business ethics and reputation instilled in me by my grandparents. Regrettably, the expensive donuts at Doce Donuts fail to meet the standards that justify their price. Moreover, during my visit, I felt rushed by the server. While this observation may be subjective, it is worth noting that businesses with arbitrary operating hours demonstrate a lack of respect for their customers. I strongly disagree with the notion that the superiority complex of a business should take precedence over the customer's experience. Interestingly, there is another donut establishment in Columbia City operated by Vietnamese owners. Regrettably, I would attribute the same rating to them--a testament to a flawed business model. It is important to acknowledge that opinions vary among individuals. The use of limited product releases to generate high demand, as seen with Apple's iPhones, has permeated various industries. Apple could potentially release more units, yet they choose not to, leveraging the frenzy of demand. As consumers, we have been manipulated by this demand-driven business model. This approach is now being replicated across multiple industries, including automakers, car dealerships, and notably, the escalating prices of new cars above MSRP. Consumers are compelled to compete for limited availability, but astute customers seek alternatives, such as opting for used cars. Community businesses hold a unique charm and evoke a sense of local pride. Asian grocery stores, for instance, offer better pricing compared to large chain retailers. A Banh Mi sandwich or a bowl of pho can be enjoyed at a lower cost than the average meal at a Subway or ramen shop. These community-based enterprises serve as the foundation of our local economy, blending business with artistry. From a pragmatic standpoint, I encourage supporting community businesses that demonstrate reasonable practices. Unfortunately, in the case of Doce Donuts, I anticipate that they will continue to attract substantial patronage. Nevertheless, for me, it is a case of "fool me once, not twice." They had a pop-up at the Coffeeholic House in Greenwood this Sunday, so off I went! I'm not sure if this is a typical occurrence, but the donuts became ready for sale 25 minutes into the set start time (pop up was supposed to start at 1pm but they took another 25 minutes to finish prepping the donuts). It's nice that they fill the donuts right before the event so that the donuts are very fresh. But if this is normal in every pop up, it's certainly not for someone who's in a rush. There were only like 5-6 groups of people waiting, and the service was very quick after they started selling donuts. I kind of wish they made signs for each flavor so that I can decide what to get faster. They were offering four flavors this time and I bought the pistachio ube flavor and caramel flavor. I was also curious about the pumpkin spice chai donut, but I've had a lot of pumpkin spice flavored items so I wanted to take a break from the flavor. The fillings were both great, but the ube donut was more memorable. Unlike the caramel donut, ube donut's sweetness was subtle and it reminded me of eating Asian sweets with sweet bean paste. The donuts were so pleasantly airy and yummy too. The donut is $6 each, which I think is pretty average for a pastry these days. I've gotten used to the $7.5-8 pastries at Cloudy Cafe and I was prepared to face similar exorbitant prices, so it wasn't much of a blow. I wish they are cheaper and I hope to dear god they don't raise pastry prices any higher, anywhere. I mean, Sonrisa doesn't seem like it's always available, so I think I can allow myself to indulge in their donuts every once in a while.

Once mixed, though, it was a really enjoyable drink overall. I would definitely come back. The service was efficient, the staff were pleasant, and the coffee was delicious. Next time, I think I may try the Salted Caramel hot to see how it compares. A great first experience at Mochi Nut!

I only recently found out they've partnered with KC, so now you can get their fresh bagels and cannoli (overnighted from NYC, folks!) with your coffee or tea. I ordered the BEC on an everything bagel and wish I had a picture to post... but I ate it too fast. They also know how to make a proper chai. I told them I wanted it insanely spicy, and they absolutely delivered. Great service all around. Go get a bagel. Actually, get two.
