Going to post my review from the Bellevue location because it mentions this location, and my conclusion is the same. ----------------- I hate writing reviews like this. My original review would have been two stars, but I did my normal thing and visited this place three times (as well as visiting the original location) before writing this. I love the idea. I love the story. I wish I could love the donuts. The flavor ideas are superb. The execution is okay, but the base donut is not good. And it's every flavor we tried. The donut itself is dry (and that's being generous), bland, and texturally challenging. We have given this place a fair try, and it has deeply disappointed us. Sad.

These tres leches donuts are absolutely gorgeous and taste better than tres leches!

Hands down, Doce has the best gourmet donuts in Seattle! There just is no comparison. We tried both the tres leches donut (absolutely gorgeous) and the vegan plain glazed and they were both spectacular! My hubs and I are both watching our weight so we are trying to resist eating donuts anywhere else just so we can come here and treat ourselves once a month. Service is friendly too. Go to Doce Donuts and thank me later.

Moist, unique, beautiful. Some of the best donuts I've had, but you do pay for it. Surprisingly no line on a weekend morning!

We picked up a dozen donuts for a gathering with my friends and loved the unique flavors! I appreciate that they offer fruity options like lemon, passionfruit, and guava. We especially enjoyed the passionfruit donut It was crispy on the outside with a sugary coating, and the filling tasted distinctly of passionfruit. The guava one was one I looked forward to, but it didn't really taste like guava. It was more like a generic fruit candy and lacked a distinct guava flavor. We also really liked the tiramisu donut. Overall, it's a great place for unique donuts, and I appreciate their creativity and fun visuals.

Super cute little shop that we happened upon while hitting up Paper cake next door. Thank you to the staff for serving us quickly right before close! We were drawn in impromptu by the flavors listed on the sign out front. . Flavors are ultimately 11/10. I will say the donut (bread portion) was a bit lackluster for me but this was fully redeemed by the icings and fillings. Our favorite was the guava.

Delicious donuts, lots of unique flavors. The dough was amazing. Lovey service, cute shop, I highly recommend and would come back! The best was the tres leches.

Okay, forget it. Leave your veggie tray at the door. It's time to indulge. They are not messing around here. Talk about your over the top donuts. They're offering 600+ calorie donuts each, and if you can finish a whole loaded donut, especially the Tres Leche, in one sitting then you are one donut loving machine. These donuts are for real, each one is like a miniature birthday cake. Just one bite makes me feel like I've eaten the whole candy bar. So what I do is cut them into six pieces each because they are super rich. Worth every penny. The Tres Leches (white with swirly things, pictured) are so good you will say to yourself, "What diet? I'm on the Doce Diet, so what?" In case you're wondering, the name of the store is not pronounced "dose." It's pronounced doh-say, which is Spanish for the number 12.

These donuts are AMAZING!!! I tried the vegan chai cookie crumble and it was one of the best donuts I've ever had, so fluffy and not too sweet! They have fulcrum cold brew which is really good too. This is my new favorite donut shop in Seattle!

We had these donuts at my cousin's wedding. They were amazing! Not overly sweet, not dry, and a lot of the flavors were ones I hadn't had before like the salted caramel. They even had the donut board to rent, which looked so cute at the wedding :)

    TRES LECHES
    Alexandra K.

Very yummy tres leches donut and friendly staff!! Very creamy and fluffy - definitely would go again. I shared this donut with a friend for a small sweet treat and would've happy chopped it up to share between three people for a little sweet. Not like it's filling or anything but definitely hits the spot when you're craving a delicious dessert

Stopped here to get donuts with a friend on a Friday morning. We found street parking, but had to drive around the block a few times. There were a couple other people in the store, but other than that it was pretty quiet. Only one person was walking behind the counter. The display case held about 10 different flavors of donuts. Each one was beautifully decorated and the flavors are so intriguing. I wanted to get one of each, but we decided on 5 to try. We tried the passion fruit creme brulee, the guava cheese, the tres leches, the blueberry lemon and then strawberry jam. My friend liked the tres leches the best. I liked the passion fruit creme brulee. All of them were good though, even the strawberry jam, which I thought was maybe the most boring of the ones we got. $5 for a donut is a little pricey. But as a special treat, they are ok. I'd come back if I was in the mood for donuts again.

    Guava con Queso
    Laura G.

Guava con Queso: Very filling and heavy donut with plenty of filling inside. I really enjoyed the guava flavor. There was just a little cream cheese flavor, though. I agree with some other comments about the donut being a bit dense. It was also a little too sweet for me. When we went here on a Saturday afternoon, there were still many donuts available for most (if not all) of the flavors.

passion fruit creme brulee, guava con queso, original glazed, tres leche
    Desiree C.

No line and plenty donuts on a Saturday morning! In order of favorite to least favorite: guava con queso, original glazed, passionfruit creme brulee, tres leche. I knew guava con queso was going to be a home run before we tasted it and we were right. Sweet guava with subtle cream cheese. Icing was not overly sweet. Just a really well balanced donut. Passionfruit creme brulee is on the tart side but complimented the sweet crackled shell well. Original glazed was great! Really an ode to what a good donut should be, simple and mildly sweet vanilla flavor. Upset of the day for us was the tres leche as it mainly tasted like the chocolate bottom and meringue top. Limited milk flavor to be found although it was the prettiest of the bunch. Super good gourmet donuts and will be back to try other rotating flavors!

Ask the Community - Doce Donut Co

Do you make you mixes from scratch?

That is a very silly question for this kind of quality. But I will forgive you. Yes, everything is made from scratch. With an average cost of $5.50 each and $65 to $85 a dozen, it better be. The rest is a secret. But a very delicious secret.

Do they offer gluten free options?

Hi Brenna, at the moment we do not offer gluten free options. I'll post about it on social media if/when we do.

I had to try it…read more I saw this cute spot on inKind after walking by it during several Seattle visits and finally decided to stop in after reading another review that mentioned that they are nut-free. Spoiler: Absolutely no regrets, I wish I had visited earlier! I ordered a six pack with a variety of their donuts and shared them with four friends, having a bit of each. I'm glad we did it this way because I don't think I could have finished some of these donuts solo. I also had a seasonal rose latte at half sweetness which was decent, but very wholesomely came with a little donut hole that was pretty good. I will say, they nailed all the flavors. If you like the flavor, probably a 4/5 donut overall. They just weren't always my cup of tea. So the scores here are for personal enjoyment more than anything - like I said, they're solid donuts. Sour Watermelon (2/5): Holy smokes, this one felt like it was punching your taste buds. It's almost confusing on how this is in a donut form. It's more like a sour patch kid. It's intense. I don't think I could solo one. Mango Tajin (3/5): Similar to the sour Watermelon, it's perplexing how this is a donut. It was a bit spicy and tangy, just as the flavor implied. Cookies & Cream (3.5/5): Get ready to get messy. It's crumbly. It's sweet. It's more like a normal donut. Matcha Strawberry (4.5/5): My favorite of the weird flavors of donuts. They really aced the matcha flavor and it's well balanced for a donut. Blueberry Fritter (2.5/5): This was pretty hyped up, but honestly I felt like the blueberry flavor was overpowered just by the sheer amount of sugar. Texture was good, it just felt so sweet. Overall, I'd definitely recommend for a fun experience. Share some different flavors! Paid via inKind with no issues.

We decided to drop by after eating lunch in the area for a sweet treat afterwards, then ended up picking up a whole dozen... Some notes for a couple that I tried: Maple Bar ($4.99) - Hmm.. Not that fluffy or light. Instead or being airy, it's more dense and has a kind of springy chew. The glaze is sweet and gives off a heavy maple fragrance, an indication they use real maple syrup in the glaze. Maple bars from other places are usually disgustingly sweet with basically no maple flavor - this one is sweet but more well balanced. I think the texture is definitely different from a typical yeast donut. I wonder if it's just because it more difficult to make vegan yeast donuts vs cake donuts? It's a different type of yeast donut, but still very good. (4/5) Chocolate Peanut Butter ($4.45) - Good peanut butter flavor in both the topping and glaze. I think the donut base is also peanut butter but it could be contamination from the glaze. The base isn't very sweet and is kind of almost savory in flavor. The donut is dense but not crumbly and instead very moist. Not really crusty, so not too much textural difference. I think it's baked rather than fried. Still very sweet. (4/5) Devils Playground ($4.45) - The donut base is dense with rich chocolate flavor, and coated with a chocolate ganache of just the right thickness. I hate it when donuts just have a smear of topping to make the donut look attractive, but does barely anything flavor wise. This one, on the other hand, is richly flavored. (4/5) Chocolate Raspberry ($3.65) - This is my favorite, same chocolate cake donut base as above but with bright berry notes and specks of seeds. The tangy berries do wonders to temper down some of the sweetness. (5/5) French Toast ($3.65) - My least favorite by far. Covered with peanuts (which is fine), but the cake donut base or perhaps the glaze tastes heavily earthy, like an overload of cinnamon and nutmeg. (2/5) People who expect the exact same texture as a non-vegan donut, both the cake and yeast types, will probably be disappointed. If I just think of these donuts as their own thing, they're actually quite good. There's another donut shop that I prefer down the street, but Mighty-O Donuts certainly isn't a bad choice for a sweet treat.
