I have been a patient for several years its been so so. Any concerns have been around retention of medication refills. However as of today I will be contacting my insurance and the medical board. I had a telehealth appointment on Thursday with a Nurse Practitioner who forgot to put my medication refills in. I called, emailed, called no refills. Finally someone answers the call, of course Christopher was unhelpful as the second interaction was him making excuses and questioning me about my physical attendance, however since Im fully aware he is not my PCP and this is not business I reminded him of his role. Doc Care was open today with a PCP on site and Christopher informed me I had to call back tomorrow when the Nurse Practitioner was present. Huh, did she take my chart with her? I called again, twice, what I encountered was the phone being picked up and hung up. So I called on my husband's phone, no hang ups. Charlene made an excuse for the hang ups, lack of professionalism was the only issue not an excuse. I explained I needed my medications and it did not appear correct I would have to wait another day as there is a Doctor present who could view my progress note from my telehealth visit. Charlene stated she would call me back and she did informing me the Doctor on site will send one medication over. One out of six medications I am on. Fast forward I go into my chart and discover a progress note from the Doctor on site indicating she completed a telehealth appointment with me today for medication refills. Even indicating how I presented. I never spoke to this Doctor. I emailed both progress note, the one for my actual telehealth visit that occurred on Thursday and the fake one for today. I will be contacting my insurance and the medical board tomorrow. Shame that a Doctor can believe they are above the law. read more

Writing this review about my care at the facility on 66-55 Fresh Pond Rd in July. Nurse Practitioner who saw me was severely under experienced, just prescribed the same diagnostic tests as any annual physical. Then she simply read out my test results to me, no knowledge at all about how to interpret them or come close to a diagnosis. She told me she was also extremely lethargic and distracted because of the heat and ended up asking me the same questions again and again. Going to them is like going to the school nurse who only prescribes aspirin for everything. Office staff can be abrupt and snappish when they bother to get to you after they keep you on hold for over 15 minutes. read more

I saw Dr. Alan Bigman for a medical clearance for the balloon sinuplasty I had scheduled with an ENT in his Doc Care practice. He was very kind and thorough, and gave me a "Healthy Living" printout with tips and resources. Started me on a blood pressure medication the same day for the hypertension I'd been ignoring/downplaying for over a year. At the end of our conversation I discovered he's the practice owner! There are 44 doctors at nine(?) offices in the Doc Care practice, and it's been great to have all of my records and appointments easily accessible by all physicians that I see. I can also see my lab results and visit summaries on their Patient Portal. Yes, the waiting room was full when I visited, and I believe I waited around 45 min to be seen, but trust me it was worth the wait! read more

I went to the 6655 Fresh Pond Rd location. My only complaint was the front desk's "unprofessional" as they were rude, not welcoming at all, and wouldn't even make eye contact with me as I answered her insurance question. As I was leaving, they looked at images on the computer, laughing and talking as I waited for them to give me my next steps. I had to interrupt their laughing at something on the computer to get their attention. I would like to know if I need to pay a co-pay to find out about making my blood test appointment. Again, they were rude and very unprofessional. The front desk personnel should be polite, engaging, warm, and professional at all costs. The assistant/nurse was fabulous; she weighed me, took all my vitals, and was a pleasure to speak with. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. Next, I met with Dr. Wang. She was also comforting and thorough, and she had excellent listening skills. I would have given you five stars if you could train your front desk staff to be more professional and kind. read more

if I could give 0 stars I would! They rescheduled my mom's colonoscopy 3 times and the date of the appointment, they said we called you the day before yesterday to reschedule. My mom went through the whole colonoscopy recommendation just for them to say sorry we tried calling (once) to rescheduled AGAIN. Stay away from all doccare's. Not impressed. So, front staff can't stop talking about some patient that "made their blood boil" i think receptionists name is Pita. They are complaining about working on a Saturday and how they used to be able to where"whatever the hell we wanted to wear". As a patient, I really don't want to hear about this and I am starting to feel very uncomfortable. I really rather drive somewhere further or go to the other few urgent cares that are open in the neighborhood. Regarding wait time: two people before me and I waited for about an hour. The staff is irresponsible with time management, and will have you waiting on location for doctors that aren't even in the building. I am finally done dealing with DocCare. I had no choice but to visit this location for my sons orthopedic care. We had to endure six gruesome visits to this place. This office is so horrible that even my 7yr old would express his frustration with the long wait time. The waiting are is always packed. This is the kind of place that schedules everyone for the same time. To then make you wait for two plus hours. Save yourself the headache and don't bother going to DocCare. Complete disconcern for patients with underlying conditions. Called for a tele-health appointment to refill my medications, and was told to mandatorily come into the office due to my last being seen more than 6 months ago. To me this seems very unnecessary in times of a pandemic and with cases on the rise. I will not put my health at risk for your monetary gain. To add insult to injury, Dr. Danielle did not want to refill my medication in fear of losing her license and was completely rude and unprofessional throughout. To deny a patient their necessary medications in times of a pandemic is certainly unreasonable and unrealistic. Avoid this cattle farm at all costs. I arrived early as I always do for an appointment I waited for over 20 minutes to than wait in the back for the dr to come. The lady that weighs I forgot her name but she was really nice. I really liked her! But once I met the dr he was horrible! He barely even looked at me. Said I should lose weight meanwhile he knows nothing about me. I have a past with anorexia so that was just flat out rude. I'm not even obese. He than tells me he sees nothing wrong with my hips. . I was born with a medical issue and it doesn't just go away. Nurse practitioner Jennifer Barnett, is by far the rudest medical "professional" I've ever encountered. Like every other patient, I was asked about the reason for my appointment. Every question she asked, I answered. At one point, with an attitude & a nasty tone, she cuts me off, turns around to look at me & says, "Let me do the questioning, you're confusing me over here". Which btw, I wasn't asking any questions. I was simply answering the questions she was asking, which is why I was confused about the way she spoke to me. In that moment I was caught off guard & I couldn't help but to just stare at her in disbelief. She held her eye contact with me as well & I know that she could tell by my face that I was confused but now angry. I couldn't say anything in response because it all happened so randomly. She proceeded with my check up & I was silent the entire time, only ANSWERING WHEN BEING QUESTIONED. It was the worst medical experience I've had & it was truly uncalled for & unwarranted. My experience today was the cherry on top for me with Doc Care & in 2024 , I will be looking for a new medical office. read more

The first time I was there a medical assistant was rude with my mom and me, she obviously did speak Spanish and she was like "I don't understand anything " and after she was chatting with another Latin American girl there. Now I was there and check in for my appointment and I heard my name and ask in a nice way to the same medical assistant if she said my name, and she was like no it's not you it's another patient and twisted her eyes. After that I got into a room so the doctor can come in and check me, and this doctor was in her phone the whole appointment, and asking me if I feel like I'm sick for real or not. This place is a joke. Every time my husband has been to this office he's had to wait hours just to be seen. The receptionists and the doctors/nurse practitioners are rude and unprofessional. But that's not the worst of it. My husband had shoulder surgery scheduled for months, and he went to see Nurse Practitioner Danielle Vilsaint at least 2 weeks before to get clearance. No word from her or the office until 2 DAYS before the surgery. All of a sudden my husband needed to see a cardiologist for a EKG even though the instructions specifically state that it is only required if you are over 40 years of age. So we rushed to get an appointment with a cardiologist and he cleared my husband. Then miraculously the DAY BEFORE my husband's surgery (after the surgery center already called to confirm) someone from Doc Care calls to tell my husband that NP Vilsaint did not approve him for surgery because of his blood work! THE DAY BEFORE HIS SURGERY! My husband has been in pain waiting for this surgery and now he won't be able to have the surgery at all! So thanks Doc Care & NP Vilsaint for preventing my husband from getting an important surgical procedure! I will not be recommending this facility to anyone and will no longer be needing their services - or lack of service. read more

I wanted to leave a review for doccare located at 66-86 but they are not on yelp. It is the same chain. I will not be coming back to any of their offices. Each time I have issues with appointments, they misinformed me a coupe of times, they canceled my appointment 20 minutes before the appointment. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. Broke my ribs, went in for x-rays. Waited over two hours for the APPOINTMENT I had made. Saw Dr. Danielle for 5 minutes who referred me to get an xray. Problems here: Two hour wait time. I had severely low Blood Pressure that she didn't pick up on.. I had called earlier in the day to ensure they could X-Ray me on site and wouldn't have to be referred to a new wait time destination. I was lied to. It took me over five days of calling and harassing the office to get my results due to excuses like "Well that Doctor is not in and unfortunately your permission will not allow a different doc to analyze the results" and "Sorry nobody ever checks that voicemail line, how can I help you" COMPLETE JOKE OF A FACILITY. Currently reporting them to the Department of Health. Seriously, save yourself the aggravation and go to the ER... the wait will be the same and you will actually get the help you need. read more

My surgeons office kept calling me that no results was sent to them even after i called few times and left a fax # and all they kept saying it was going to be sent after 3rd attempt i went in person and heres when it gets worse the office had no knowledge of my results seems my blood work WAS LOST . Of course i was furious and every #@%!!!! was used Since i needed that clearance i went direcly to the lab CAUTION look at the breakdown you get from your insurance company doc care will charge you for things you never never received . This has to be one of the absolute worse experience I have ever had at a business / medical office. I had some tests done over a year ago which I was told was in network and covered by my insurance at the time. After having the tests done, I received and explanation of benefits which forecasted a tremendous bill. I spoke with multiple representatives at the time including the manager of the practice and was assured it was not a bill. For over a year I did not receive a bill, an email or a call in reference to my account or that I owed the practice any money. Fast forward a year - I went in for my physical to be met by a representative telling me I was responsible for the entirety of the bill. After speaking with their billing team they said they had been contacting me for quite awhile. FALSE. I eventually landed on a payment plan with them and then received a statement of account which showed my bill had been lowered tremendously. I contacted the billing rep with a copy of the bill to be told this was in accurate and I was still responsible for the full bill. This place is a scam. Dr.Bigman makes an immense effort to keep the patients moving. My mother is a very high risk patient, we were 30 minutes late for an appointment due to my work schedule, but when we arrived, we only waited 20 minutes. His assistant Emilia, as well as the rest of the staff, work wonders. My mother has been his patient for over 6 years, totally recommend his practice. read more

I live in Queens, NYC-but Yelp doesn't have the option for me to say what county/state I'm in. Doc Care gives me anxiety for numerous reasons. The billing errors, and the errors in my portal. I saw many many typos, miscoding, and upcoding; wrong diagnosis codes and lies. I guess they use templates and copy/paste stuff to cover their asses etc. I have to wait a very long time for most appts. I don't like that FNP nurses call themselves doctors. I sent messages via my portal and also emailed CS via regular email, asking to correct the errors b/c my portal is riddled with errors. They did not reply and they didn't correct anything. The first time I sent a message in my portal...rather than get a reply back via email-we got a call instead. We were not forewarned that this call would charge our insurance...later we were asked for a copay too. I had to complain to have the copay thing fixed. That call was less than two minutes, and the nurse who called charged our insurance. Dr Bigman was very nice, but I had a nightmare with FNP Frankie Payne. She was rude and had a rotten bedside manner. Same with Dr. Goodman. Bad experience-he's sarcastic. Also with Dr. Sherman...most of the errors in my portal are b/c of Sherman. I'm 47 years old, I'm vegan now for 13 years, organic since 2004, and I have no risk factors. I had a false negative-abnormal EKG which prompted the visit w/ Sherman. He told me himself that everything was good, my heart is good, no atrial enlargement, no murmur, my lungs are clear etc, organs all clear. Then in my portal...and in the problem list-it says that I have a heart murmur, and shortness of breath, and hyperlipidemia-all LIES. I told him when he asked me that I DO NOT have shortness of breath. My total cholesterol is 143-which means i'm far from having hyperlipidemia. I really think they're confusing me with another patient. The way they paint me/portray me is as if I'm a sickly woman with lots of health issues. All of my bloodwork was great; no issues. I waited 11 months to write this review. I formed my opinion b/c I went there five times between November 2021 and January 2022. I also went several times in 2007. My husband also goes there-he's been going since 2014. I'm done...I'm not going back. Dr Sherman aggressively pushes for more and more tests when there's no risk factors. It can't be justified to have the tests he's pushing for (in my portal-without telling me anything to my face). If there's nothing to pick at...why fabricate/falsify my medical records? Dr Bigman being nice won't help-if my portal is now full of lies and errors-that they refuse to correct. That means that if I were to go back...I'll get bothered about those false things they put in my records. I get a ton of anxiety even just thinking about my experiences with Doc Care. I really wanted to have a convenient place nearby-to have my blood work and physicals done. I'll have to find another office. Doc Care is unethical. read more

The wait time was similar to what I've experienced at other doctors offices. However, this place doesn't really deserve to call itself a doctors office. The service was so poor and awkward and unprofessional. I kept an open mind that the nurse practitioner I was seeing would be better. She was worse. She would barely allow me to describe my ailment and was dismissive of me and wouldn't give me direct answers to my questions.
