Came here for pain management due to some chronic health conditions I have that's exacerbated by the physical toll my work places on me as a RN. I opted for an epidural which I received after it was pre-approved by my insurance. The procedure was quick, but they are never on time calling your name so bring a book and be prepared to sit for a while. As someone who is habitually early to everything it can be the bane of my existence showing up 20 minutes early and waiting for an hour or more past my appointment time. I also had some trigger point injections. That said, everyone here is very friendly and you will meet a lot of students / residents during their studies. This being my first epidural, they warned me that I may have trouble sleeping and they were right - I was awake for 2.5 days! I even took melatonin and other stronger sleep-aides to no avail. Not everyone will have this side effect, so if this is the path you're headed down try it for yourself. I will be going back for another in a few months. Dr. Perper is a rare gem! He is so caring and kind and actually listens to his patients. He has such a light hand when it comes to giving injections. I love that theres am option to get anesthesia as well. The staff as well as all other doctors are also amazing - always willing to help and get out of their way to actually find a solution for whatever may arise. I'll start out this review like this.... The front desk staff is very rude and arrogant. So this makes you think "what is the doctor and the other staff is going to be like?). Well i never got to see dr perper, but seen his physician assistant and the other doctor that was there. Also I was giving injections that I knew my insurance company would not approve, unless it went through prior authorization. Well of course they didn't get one and I was sent a no payment of service from my insurance company, for which I was told to pay up or be dropped as a patient. "One hour to an hour and a half wait time." The first thing I saw when I walked into this office for the first time. This makes me question office management overall. I did not even see the doctor I originally thought I scheduled with. The provider I saw was nice, although I just spoke with them and did not get a physical assessment. Not sure if this has to do with being a workers comp patient... Still waiting for a follow-up from that visit. read more

I was in debilitating pain and have a 2 month old son at home I need to care for. Dr Perper and his team squeezed in my desperation and took great care of me. Dr Perper gave me an epidural cortisone injection and I was feeling much improved that same evening. The nursing staff was incredibly patient and kind, as well as the front desk. I am a patient of Dr. Perper I have never had any problems with the front desk staff they have always treated me with respect & from what I have seen while waiting to be called they treat everyone else the same.. I always get a reminder Call 2 days before my schedule appointment. Once I arrive for my appointment my waiting time to be seen is in a timely fashion.. Dr. Perper will let you die of pain. As a suffer of life long chronic pain, he literally shrugged his shoulders as I told him that I've done everything from surgery to CBD to injections to physical therapy. He basically treated me like a drug addict. When I asked him "What are people like me who can't take care of their kids because of pain are suppose to do? Lay there and die?" He shrugged his shoulders again said "I dont know what to tell you". So unless you are terminally ill or willing to be stabbed up with injections forever (that don't even help), dont go to him. This review is based on 3 visits to the Center. I actually saw Dr. Perper once! Wait time is fine. Front desk staff is friendly. Dr. Perper was professional . I saw Devin he was also very thorough and professional. In three visits, I saw three different doctors. While I didn't like that I needed to explain my condition and the need for pain management 3 different times I was ok with it. The last dr that I saw was a young female. First impression she commented on the size of the admins boobs as we walked into the patient space. Based on her behavior I thought she was an aide not a doctor. She then proceeded to read my file, very little face time. and she automatically told me I wasn't eligible for pain med. based on a prescription that another doctor wrote and that I explained I wasn't taking. She stated " I don't know you" As I was in pain, and feeling a bit vulnerable I stated that she talked to me like I was an addict. At which point she stated that she stated that was how I was hearing her.I submitted a randomized urine test and I was told that they might not accept it because it was cold. Sure the bathroom was freezing and my sample was small. I felt i needed to prove myself so I stayed another half hour till I could go again. I waited and called every day and at the end of the week it was clear that I was dismissed by Dr Perper. Not even a phone call.So here is my point. If you have doctors who are supposed to see patients, and the doctor isn't in and won't be for days, and u see three different doctors....how is someone supposed to" know you "other than your records and past urine tests, etc. For all of the above reasons and primarily because Dr Perper couldn't get on the phone and call me after 5 days.
