Stay away! All the doctors are PAs. There is no medical doctor there. All they do prescribe ibuprofen and tell you to go to hospital. Front desk Indian/guyanese (she is the rudest) and mexican looking 2 women (really nasty and doesnt hesitate to fight) , transgender human (I have witnessed his arguments at least with 3 different ppl already before), red hair pa( she has no clue) , new pa whose name was tedi; they all have a nasty attitude and discuss your stuff at the from desk. How come this urgent care is still in business? And the new pa was like I have seen sixty patients today. 60 patients; for what? You don't even treat patients. You don't touch them or anything. I want here on Sunday with a very bad cough just for the practitioner to come in and prescribe me Robitussin then I went back again today because I got worse for another practitioner to tell me it's just a cold without any proof because she refused to do any testing because I self paid. Which I wasn't looking or how to do anything for free obviously we did pay $150 when we walked in the door so why would I not be able to the testing that needed to be done so that's why they're getting one star and I would never go back there and I suggest nobody goes into their facility read more

The hours on yelp state that they are open till 9pm, online on their website state that they are open till 8 PM but I got there today (11/6/24) with my son who is sick& needed to be seen at 7:45 PM and was refused service. I went to Centers on 1/25/2024 with my daughters for suspected sinus infection and bronchitis. I was evaluated by a really nice nurse who seemed to know his stuff and had a good sense of humor, thank you for that. I can't say the same for the PA. It was confirmed that I did have a sinus infection and bronchitis so the PA prescribed Amoxicillin and Prednisone for 5 days. I've had sinus infections and bronchitis in the past, never at the same time and I have NEVER been given a 5 day prescription, at the very minimum it's been 7 days of antibiotics. Anyways, yesterday was day 10 and there's no improvement at all so I called to ask for a follow-up and explained that I'm still the same and was told that follow-up appointments are only until day 7. If you have a policy like that you should tell your patients, and if I was given a normal prescription of the 7 day antibiotics I probably would have been feeling better. If I want to be seen again I would have to pay another $50 copay even though the PA shorted my prescription. Thanks for nothing. Worst part is this "policy" came from a manager and not even the medical staff. read more

When I asked to be seen by a woman the nurse then went and told the rest of the nurses and the doctor on the other side of the door and they were making really mean jokes and rude comments about my request. Definitely not a safe space. Unfortunate because it's the closest urgent care to my house but I will never be going there again and would never recommend to anyone else. read more

A few years back, when the place opened we were so excited to finally have what we believe what a decent urgent care place not far from our house. We used the place more time than I can count but unfortunately saw the place falling apart over the years. The rooms don't look like they are maintained and in the last one I used half the equipment for my vitals were not working. The last visit was the last straw. After being hit by a van while on the bicycle path (the driver tried to run and was arrested), I went to the urgent care the following day to get an X-Ray of my ribs as they were now hurting very bad. Got in as usual as they have all my insurance details and pay the $40 co-pay ahead. I wait a little while then head to a room for them to take my vitals (instruments were either not working or falling from the wall). After my vitals I waited a bit longer before someone came in to tell me the X-ray machine had some software issues they were working on. They never got it to work and after an hour waiting in the examination room I was asked to come back later that day. I kindly told them I would head somewhere else for my X-Rays and asked to get the $40 co-pay as they didn't do anything. The front lady told me that the $40 were not refundable because they did my vitals. When she saw I wasn't going to let this go she called another lady who told her to issue the refund. For me it was the end of it....until I receive last Friday a bill from them, for some X-Ray they performed... The bill was for the portion my insurance didn't cover on the X-Ray charge. Yes, they charged my insurance for X-Rays they never took and also are now asking me to pay for the difference not covered. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else, the place is falling apart and will try to get you to pay (as well as charging your insurance) for services they never performed. read more

My last experience here, about a year ago, was horrible, but my daughter convinced me to give it another try because this is her "go to" place. I was feeling sick after Christmas and thought I had strep so I came here, very reluctantly. My own doctor just retired and since I haven't chosen a new doc yet, my options were limited. I have to say my visit was very pleasant from start to finish. Everyone was very professional and friendly. I believe there is a high turnover in personnel which may explain the huge swing between good and bad reviews. This time was a definite plus. read more

I give this urgent a -0 & -F. There EKG machine wasn't working .Tested for covid negative. The FLu negative. Didn't test for Pneumonia . I was so upset. Less then a hour i want to another MD urgent. I recommend this urgent to everyone. Covid negtive , FLU postive, given meds for asthma. Was given a xray and i have pneumonia. Asthma pump, cuff medicine, antibiotics & Prednisone Was give. I am not feeling well, so I signed up to get the COVId test this morning. The online queue they set up is supposed to avoid the line wait. I received the text that I was next in line at 6PM. I ha e now been sitting in a crowded waiting room filled at max capacity with very little ventilation. I have yet to be seen. The manager is not here, the place is completely disorganized and severely understaffed. Rip off Alert. This urgent care treated me for skin/reaction condition. Prescribed me a tube of cream to spread twice a day. The problem was , that the Doctor did not prescribe the size of tube Needed for the prescription. So by "Law" pharmacy can only give me the smallest size tube. Now here is where they failed to be In the best interest of the patient, who had a spreading skin reaction. I called Clinic and told them my situation and what the pharmacist said. Girl at front desk told me I had to come in again. See another doctor and pay another CO Pay because the Doctor that treated me was not in and the doctor that was in the Clinic would not correct the prescription. Which is bull. This was their mistake and I should not be left to hang and suffer. I asked girl if I could speak to a manager and she said manager was gone for the day. How Convenient, I then asked if their was someone else in charge and she said no, that she was in charge and could not do anything. I then asked her if she could call the Doctor or manager and she said no. This urgent care is trying to juice the insurance company and get two visits within a 72 hour period for what? Because they refuse to correct a Doctors Mistake? I will be filing a complaint against this clinic with my insurance company and also any NYS dept that is in charge of these clinics as well Medical Board. This is BAD practice at it's best. Stop trying to ripoff the insurance companies, this is why insurance is so high because of Doctors and clinics trying to juice the insurance companies and patient as much as they can and as unnecessarily as they can. I came here to get my first dose for a job unfortunately and there were two ladies at the front desk, the one with glasses was VERY nice and accommodating and the other lady was not so pleasant! A lil attitude ish, I was already wary about getting the vaccine, not happy about having to be forced to get something injected for work but the lady who administered it, Judy I believe her name was, she was VERY helpful and soothe my nerves about the vaccine. She gave me a lot of insight about the pros so I was happy she was the one to inject me lol. Ok, so I came in today with my children and it was extremely different from any other time We have visited. My visit was simple, just a quick rapid exam due to our upcoming travel and as we arrived there was no line I mean completely empty! There staff was quick and amazing. Go In and request (David)! Never seen him there before but he was polite especially with the babies OMG! Amazing! Absolutely amazing!. Results came back quickly he was so sweet this was a way better improvement. Spent all day requesting the record for work and when I read it, it had services that were not performed and inaccurate information about symptoms that were never asked of my boyfriend and I. Not to mention other issues pertaining to my boyfriend's multiple COVID tests. Most of the people there a actually nice, except from one woman who thought she could be shady. Do not ever go here!!! This is the most unprofessional and useless urgent care that you will see!! They do covid tests that are not accurate. One day is positive, and the next day shows as negative! And the worst part about this place is their front desk staff and as well as covid test application staff! They argue about your test results in front of everybody at the lobby, and no privacy at all!! Then, they demand you to do things and lock you in a room and slammed the door behind! Its just unbelievable that you question yourself if it is real that all the treatments they have done to you.. they then complain about you to their other staff members who were not even involved to the situation! I returned back to the Urgentcare facility at 6122G Fresh Pond Road Ridgewood Ny 11385 after almost a year in hopes they would have finally resolve the previous issue we had and I could remove a previous bad review I posted back in April of 2017. Now the only reason I considered going to this location was because I had received a call from someone at the billing department and she had clarified that the error was on their part and they had run the wrong insurance to begin with. Unfortunately I did not catch her name, but I was under the impression everything was taken care of. They definitely proved to me that i made the right decision in posting the bad review to begin with. The receptionist stopped me from signing in on the iPad and stated she would help me. She then pulled up my daughters name and told me to wait a moment. A few moments later another receptionist came out. I then say hello and asked her if she remembered me and she looked at me like no. I then replied you will remember me and my daughter once you pull up her name. She then pulls up my daughters name tells me she cannot allow them to see my daughter. I asked her why and she replied by saying my boss has a note in the system that says not to see my daughter or me. I asked why and she said I would have to call on Monday and ask why she couldn't tell me. I then asked her for her name she stated it wasn't her fault, I replied I didn't say it was I would just like your name. She the said My name is Sylvia, I told her thank you and have a good day. read more

I went here tonight because I believed I may have had a pinched nerve in my neck and I couldn't get through to my regular doc. From the get-go it was a shit show. I called the phone number to ask if I needed to make an appointment, The young guy on the other end told me I had to make a reservation. I said, I'm going to see the doctor, he said yes, you need a reservation. I asked I he could make the appointment for me because I was driving, he told me no, I could click the link when I stopped driving. No assistance whatsoever. When I got there, the front desk personnel were friendly, and I was immediately told to go into a room. Someone came in to take my blood pressure and the machine malfunctioned. It never stop compressing, and my arm and fingers started to swell, and turn red. When I pointed this out to the person taking my pressure, she said it was normal for the machine to squeeze your arm. I said, not like this. Look at my fingers. They were swollen like sausages. She tried removing the velcro, but wasn't going fast enough. I felt like my arm was going to explode. Finally, I grabbed the velcro and released it. She decided to try it on my other arm, same thing happened, only this time I was prepared. I pulled the Velcro when my arm started to get red. Afterward, the doc came in. I told her what the issue was, and she told me to contact my primary care doc to get an MRI. Never touched my neck, or any part of my body. Not sure if this is how it is with COVID, but I was surprised. She then prescribed muscle relaxers and sent the prescription to my pharmacy. I waited a long time and when I did not receive a call that the prescription was ready, I called the pharmacy. I was told that the prescription was filled out wrong and the doc's office never responded to their message. I had to call the general phone number for all of the Center Urgent Care facilities and ask them to transfer me to this location. I spoke with the doc (this is now 2 hours later) and she said, oh yeah, I clicked on something wrong. I understand mistakes happen, but my entire experience at this facility was a mistake. Like I said, the personnel are very friendly, but the service is lacking. I remember in the beginning when Urgent Care Centers first started. You received quality service. Went in for a Covid test. I got assisted by a very friendly staff named Ivy. There was almost no wait time. The whole appointment was quick and efficient. Ivy was very helpful, explained the whole process clearly and was willing to answer all my questions. Facility was also clean. If I was allowed to give 0 Stars I would have. About 3 weeks ago, my mother took quite the fall and went to Centers Urgent Care for an xray. While she was there and explained she has a lot of pain in her shoulder, they took X-Rays of her forearm . (The X-Ray Technician was tugging and pulling on her arm to try and straighten it out.) The physicians diagnosed her by telling her it was a bad sprain and bruising. Gave her a sling and that was all. Weeks later, her arm was still swollen and she was in unspeakable pain. She went to NYU Orthopedic ER where they took XRays or her whole arm to find out, she has been walking around with 2 broken bones for 3 weeks after being misdiagnosed by the workers at this urgent care. After 3 weeks of pain, she has finally had her surgery and can begin her recovery. read more

Went in last week, needed a tick checked for Lyme. I was told I should hear something in 24-48 hours, if not to call them. Well I had to call them, because I heard nothing. I called 72 hours later, 96 hours later, and finally as of 6 days later, they keep telling me the results are "pending." I mentioned the time frame I was given and was told that it can take up to two weeks... I'd like to know if I need to take any action on this, it's time sensitive. I was there yesterday and arrived at 8:45am for a Covid test . There were about 25 people on line . The doos open at 9am and they let in about 10 people . Then they send out a sign in sheet for us to sign . I finally get into the building 12:00 and had to sit down waited another 1/2 hour and I'm finally called to the desk . I give her my ID and insurance card and then says to me loudly didn't you see the sign on the door we don't except Fedelis Medicaid this is a private facility and only people that work are accepted here . She saw me for 2 mins and left the room, came back after 10 mins with diagnosis. She didn't explains anything and just dismissed me. Anywhoo, here is my review on my active profile, better late than never, for Centers Urgent Care on Fresh Pond Road. Excellent, speedy service. The medical staff is knowledgeable and courteous. They diagnosed the problem immediately and started me on the right course of treatment and called in all of my prescriptions. I don't see how my primary care physician or emergency room would have handled my urgent care any better. I was in and out in 45 minutes on a Saturday morning and it only costs me a copay of $50 bucks! read more

LONG but honest review! Went for a COVID test about a month ago. Their online site had a check-in that showed 30 minute wait time and that I could reserve my space for 6PM. I completed online check-in, and upon arrival was told their online system doesn't work but shouldn't be a long wait. Way too many people in the waiting room, and many more waiting outside. I feel if you are showing symptoms, you should be asked to wait outside or in your car to avoid exposure. No precautions were being taken. While I waited, I witnessed back office workers (through glass partition) NOT wearing masks for a period of time, then walking back and forth touching everything with gloves then walking right into the exam room to administer COVID test. I was very turned off by the lack of concern and precaution. I was there for almost two hours. LASTLY, I was appalled when I received a $300 bill from my insurance because they billed my visit as an urgent care visit, not for a COVID test appointment. Luckily, my insurance was able to adjust it, but then I was shocked to find my husband who also went to that same urgent care on another date was billed $400 for "lab testing" when he was there ONLY for COVID test. I then checked with a few family members who have also been there, and were all billed for other reasons of visit as well! We called the center to speak to the billing dept. about this charge and the girl who answered was very unprofessional and laughed at our inquiry, saying it was an error. Hm. So be sure you check all of your insurance claims because this seems quite honestly like insurance fraud! read more

The assistants here are very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, it's the "doctors/not doctors really just nurse practitioners" that are the problem. This is the second time I have come here and been blown off by a dr who was examining my daughter. Today I brought her in bc she was running a fever, bad congestion, cough and headache. The nurse practitioner said it's just a cold but let's do a step test. Without another word the Nurse practitioner walked out and I asked the nurse for a flu test as well. The assistant (not sure which she is) was was very accommodating and did both tests with patience with my little one. Thank goodness I asked bc of course my daughter has the flu. If we just went by the diagnosis we would have been sent home being told it was a cold. The NP came back in and said, "oh. It's good we did the flu test.." yeah, thanks. Then she called in a script for Tamiflu pills, which my 5 year old can't take...cause she's 5. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU ARE NOT NECESSARILY SEEN BY AN MD. If you want to be seen by an MD for sure, go elsewhere. In fact, just go elsewhere. read more

This place is a joke. I went there for a medical issue and was informed they don't take straight medicaid as insurance? Excuse me? You bill yourself as urgent care, yet you don't a the most basic health insurance there is? I also have Centers Plan For Healthy Living insurance along with medicaid.
