Turned off water at 8:30 in building when email and phone discussion clearly stated shutoff 9am. And the guys are RUDE!!

I called this company to take a look at my leaky shower faucet. I was tied up at work so I gave the company permission to enter without me there. They quoted me $900+ for a repair... but after checking my ring doorbell footage, nobody ever even came by!!!! The ring doorbell catches all entry/exit activity. Moral of the story is, this company lied and said they came by for an estimate when they really didn't. Trust is huge in my book so I will not be using this company at all in the future. read more

Very disappointed... (very unprofessional) I am the HOA Building Manager with 35+ years of experience in the maintenance field Do Right refused to respond to emergency situation call, for a boiler that they installed last year to the tune of 40k. Spoke with Brad who was extremely rude. Seems feelings were hurt because our building had not been using their service exclusively or that the proposals they submitted were not awarded . Unfortunately for Do Right. Proposals are based on cost and responsiveness along with professionalism. Contacted the owner Armando for clarification and discuss resolution was told if they were not the primary plumber for the building it was not worth their time to come out in emergency situations. read more

" Fabian Did A Nice Job " My sink in our master bathroom was plugged up and would not drain. I called Do Right Plumbing in La Mesa, CA and they sent Fabian Serratos out to my house to snake out my plugged drain. Fabian was very nice and professional as he asked me several questions about the sink before snaking the drain line thoroughly. Fabian was very neat and clean as he made sure there was no dirty outcome from snaking my drain. Fabian was very reliable, honest and friendly. This company recently did work on the apartment NEXT to mine, not mine. Three gentlemen came over after working on the apartment next to to mine to make sure none of my pipes clogged. That same night my entire bathtub was clogged and could not be used so I called this company to come check my place out the exact next day and they told me they would have to charge me or told me to call my HOA. They said it was past the 24 hour warratny. Mind you, they didn't actually ever work on my apartment- they just messed up my apartment after working on the pipes in the one next to me. Never called to let me know of any problems and states," YOU would have had to repair your ceiling anyway so it really is a 50/50 situation. Cut the ceiling or step through the living room ceiling via the attic." "I told you there would be drywall repairs." Wow was I surprised when the tenant called to ask when are they coming back to "finish the repairs and fix the giant holes in the ceiling, bathroom, kitchen walls and counter area, and garage." They are nice people but no calls to let me know they are coming to the house to start the job or ANY follow up calls to let me know the job is complete. We called Do Right to our condo in Mission Valley because our neighbor downstairs had a leak and the maintenance guy recommended this company. My tub drain was leaking and damaged my neighbor's ceiling. The plumber that came out, Armando, seemed to know what he was doing, he answered my questions and was helpful. He opened my neighbor's ceiling and repaired my drain. After we paid for the drywall to be fixed and painted, it leaked again, same thing! It was a Saturday night and I could not get anyone on the phone at Do Right. I had to call Anderson Plumbing the second time as an emergency on a SATURDAY. I complained to the maintenance guy and he said he had been recommending them but they had just started their company this year and probably didn't answer because it's only a two man operation. You get what you pay for. They were nice, but Anderson Plumbing was much, much more professional and I need a plumber who is available at any time. I spoke to Kyle in the service department and he was very helpful. I gave them 2 stars because they were nice, BUT I can't risk calling them again to our high rise condo because it could end up costing me much more if I flood out the neighbors below us. I still have to get a hold of someone at this company to see if I can get a reimbursement. I had to pay ceiling repairs TWICE. I hope they have insurance! STH read more

So, getting someone to my house was a little bit of a pain, there was a slight communication glitch b/w dispatch and the plumber. HOWEVER, it was settled quickly and smoothly, and they got someone to my house only an hour after expected arrival time with profuse apologies. The work was fast and efficient, and the plumber even showed me how to take care of a few things myself. Overall took maybe a half an hour. Fast, efficient, professional, and skilled. read more

I contacted do right plumbing yesterday evening which was July 12th about multiple issues i was having with my leaking toilet. I was told he would be out as soon as I was finished with work the following day. Fast forward to the next day, my leaking and loud toilet is a thing of the past. Basically every hose, bolt and flap has been replaced. Dishonest, Fraudulent Company. Avoid at all cost. Here's why: We're landlords and security called about the hot water heater leaking in our rental unit. They're an HOA and Do Right is listed as their go to plumber. Our HOA calls Do Right to help with the leak. So Jose, from Do Right, is on the phone with us and says that our inlet valve is corroded and will not turn off. The whole complex will need to be shut off so that he can replace the valve and drain the water heater. All for a nice $450. We can then get the tank replaced later. My husband is suspect so we decline his offer and drive the 5 min to our rental unit. My husband literally goes to the water heater, turns the valve and shuts the water off. He then checks the faucets to ensure there is no hot water flowing and what a miracle, the valve actually works. Not water closed off. We call Jose and close the loop on his complete lie and apparent easy behavior of taking advantage of people when they are in their greatest need of an honest person. Do not trust this company. We'll be reporting to the Better Business Bureau and any other media authority we can. read more

I have been having air conditioner problems for months. I was recommended to Do Right Plumbing by the guard in my condo complex. Armando has been sooo helpful in fixing my air conditioner and getting it back in working order. Plus, when we had down pouring rain a couple of months ago, the drain outside of my condo backed up and almost flooded my condo. Armando and his partner came out and unplugged my drain. We had an extremely unprofessional and rude experience with this plumbing company. The plumber Mike looked at the garbage disposal and sink plumbing when he arrived and informed us of 2 different options in which we could approach fixing it. We were experiencing a small leak out of our garbage disposal when we would run it. We opted to choose the one that would fix it easily without an extensive new plumbing set up that would involve running a vent thru the roof. He went to his vehicle to get the tools and parts to fix it. When he came back he said he called the office and was told he could not do what he offered and what we agreed to. When we confirmed with him that the extensive and unnecessary fix was something we did not want to do at this time, he very quickly became snappy and condescending. Now, realize that we were given 2 options. At first he agreed to the more economical one, then we were told we could not have it. Since it was turning more into a sales pitch than anything else, he was thanked for his services. In a very rude tone, he asked my partner what his name was. Seemed odd he waited until that point to ask, especially in such a hostile way. So now that he was not going to perform the services he offered we only had the option of saying; no thanks and good bye. He reluctantly said he would go ahead and tighten something on the garbage disposal and when my partner said he probably could have fixed that, Mike said in a very rude manner, well you shouldn't have called the plumber. We also had alerted Mike to a minor bathroom sink issue and he did not offer to fix it and easily could have. $100 for a service call. What great customer service and a way to represent the company. All of this 'great customer service' actually started right when he arrived. Our dog, who never has a problem with anyone, was scared of him and would not stop barking. She never does this. He didn't even try to be friendly with her. Not sure if it was his big beard or hat or unfriendly demeanor or all the above. We were hoping to do the right thing by supporting a local company that would actually answer the phone when we call them to discuss our interaction with their plumber. read more
