Unfortunately, within a few months, several quality issues began to appear. Screws started popping out, deck boards began lifting, and some of the boards and railing showed signs of deterioration. I sent multiple texts and emails, including photos documenting the problems. To their credit, they responded to one text and sent someone out to secure a completely loose floorboard that, surprisingly, had never been screwed down. However, after that visit, my additional attempts to contact them went unanswered. I even asked that they simply let me know if they had no intention of addressing the problems, but I did not receive the courtesy of a response. At this point, it appears I will need to hire another company to repair their work. Chuck Kurth, one of the owners of Two Brothers Residential, Maintenance and Service Corporation, presented himself as knowledgeable and reputable before I hired the company, which made this experience especially disappointing. A contractor's reputation is built not only on the initial job but also on standing behind their work. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. As a result, they will not be receiving any future business from me, and I would not recommend them to others in my HOA.

To say I shopped out the quoting process would be an understatement. Jeff's quote was very fair, easy to understand, and on the lower $ range due to not having the overhead of most other companies. In the end, I decided to go with Archwood for my project and I'm so glad I did. Unlike most other contractors who over quote and rush through the job to maximize profits, Jeff will take whatever time is needed to do the job right...period. Here is the thing that is pretty rare: he listens AND is patient. Any concerns I had along through the project as I'm anal when it comes to details and perfection and any changes I wanted to make during the project, he not only listened, but he made sure my concerns were completely addressed each and every instance. I can't speak highly enough of the character of this young man. In my case, he underbid my job with the time it took for him to complete this big project and because he went over and above on getting the job done right to my satisfaction, I gave him a 60% cash bonus because he flat out deserved it. The deck looks incredible. In sum, Jeff and Archwood was not the fastest option as he does the majority of the work himself, but if you want the job done right by a man who is meticulous with details, with integrity and pride of doing great quality work (as if it was his own home), Jeff is the man for the job. We have a very large raised 3 story trex deck with rotting cedar railings. Called numerous companies for a railing replacement and the majority would only consider new deck replacement and were not interested, even though this was a big job. We were replacing the cedar with aluminum railings. Dan came by numerous times over a period of months during the planning stages to get us exactly what we wanted for a fair price. He secured samples, talked about the options, was prompt, professional and helpful in all ways. He was quite busy and at one point we assumed that the job wouldn't be done until the early spring. We were fine with that as we didn't need the use of the deck during the winter. Low and behold, here comes Dan and Bill in December ready to start. Permits were secured and no matter the weather those guys were out there working. Before long the rotten cedar railing was replaced with aluminum and look absolutely wonderful.
