I cannot stress enough how much of a mistake it was to choose San Diego Custom Cabinets for our kitchen cabinets on an Encinitas project. The workmanship is absolutely appalling (bad). The cabinets started showing signs of wear and tear within just a year. Some panels (dishwasher) corroded and started peeling. The gaps between panels were uneven and unsightly at time of build but especially over time became worse, and to top it all off, the cabinets have actually changed color over time, going from a dark brown (walnut) to a tiger orange. It's obvious all materials were of the cheapest and lowest quality, but beyond that the company's response to these issues was to push back and simply state the warranty period had expired. I should add, it was not only the faces of the cabinets that failed miserably, but the boxes were poorly constructed, including cheap/failing hardware (like the trash pull out which constantly fails (hardware becomes loose and needs to be manually tightened monthly). At this point, we've had no choice but to demolish the entire cabinetry system. We have incurred massive costs (since prices have dramatically changed) and our clients are displaced during this demo period. I'm beyond disappointed with this purchase and this company and would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere. As a company and brand, we will not be working with SD Custom Cabinets in the future. We will not be endorsing them. And if actual or prospective clients ask for our vote of confidence or recommendation, we will point them to this review.

She provided us several options based on our use. She provided many color 3D renderings to help us visualize our dream closet. All work from tearout to installation was on-time as scheduled. We also met with two other local/national companies to back up our ultimate decision. One of those was easy to let go of - the person who visited our house had strange personal habits and felt comfortable sitting on our bed and brushing pencil eraser bits onto our pillows. The second one came really close, and it was a hard final decision. They offered a different approach than Tailored and there were strong points to both. In the end, the connection we made with the designer, Nick, and his willingness to dive into the challenge, won us over. With our input, he came up with really great custom concepts including an entryway closet that had a couple elements that they don't typically do. One was an area where mail could drop from the mail slot, and the other was slide out shoe trays. We still look at those and smile. The on-site installers were great. The lead installer Cassidy was our main point of contact and did a great job. We'd done some other renovation prior to the closets, and our expectations for communication were formed by those other contractors. He was respectful throughout the install, patient with our questions, and always let us know what to expect. Personally, I also appreciated the way he worked with the other installers, too. He looked like a good mentor for the others. Kudos to him and the rest of the team, Luis, Kevin and Ismael. I'll be surprised if Luis isn't in a leadership role there soon! The installation was so professionally done, with plumb walls and level shelves, that it revealed how unlevel our flooring is. When that left some gaps, the company recommended a solution to mask that without changing the original design. Cassidy came back out, assisted by Victor, and made those updates in just a few hours. Overall, this was a great experience, and we recommend the company.

They provided the cabinetry for our kitchen, laundry room, custom entertainment center, and the built-ins and floating shelves beside our fireplace--and everything turned out beautifully. From the moment I walked into the showroom, Liad, Lily, and Ruby made me feel genuinely welcomed. The showroom was beautiful, and Liad patiently walked me through all of the cabinet options. He really knew his stuff and had excellent ideas for improving the kitchen layout. Before I left, he gave me an incredibly reasonable quote that made the decision easy. I have also been extremely impressed by the quality of the cabinets. They feel sturdy and well made, the finish is beautiful, and they offer excellent quality for the price. Although these are RTA cabinets, you would never know it from the finished result. Liad worked closely with his recommended installer, Arturo, to make everything look and feel completely custom. They crafted a beautiful range hood, customized a broom closet to fit our needs, and the included cabinet accessories that were such a nice (and useful!) added touch. The team quickly created 3D renderings and remained patient and responsive through the many changes I made along the way. Our entertainment center was a custom design, and it turned out even better than I imagined. When I was finally ready to place the order, Liad worked his magic to get everything delivered quickly and keep the project moving. Arturo was also wonderful to work with. He was incredibly patient with all of my questions and requests--and there were many! His team's craftsmanship and attention to detail made such a difference in the final result. More than anything, I truly felt as though everyone treated me like a friend rather than just another customer. I cannot say enough about how happy I am with the quality, service, and finished spaces. I have recommended Wholesale Cabinets to everyone I've spoken to, and I will absolutely be back when it is time to remodel our upstairs!

From the very beginning, the design process was smooth and inspiring. The 3-D renderings and final results turned out shockingly close to what we had envisioned--such a great feeling to see our ideas come to life so accurately. During the measurement stage, the Wholesale Cabinets team came out in person, carefully calculated dimensions, and even accommodated my request to include cabinetry beyond the kitchen. In total, we ended up with kitchen cabinets, fireplace cabinetry for two desk,a pantry cabinets, laundry room cabinets, and linen storage. Their willingness to adapt to our scope really stood out. Fitment We chose assembly (but not installation), and the cabinets arrived and was assembled on-site- ready for my GC to install. Overall, I'd say fitment was about 95%, which is excellent. A few minor adjustments were needed, especially around appliance areas like the microwave, cooktop, and built-in oven--but nothing overly complex or unexpected. Everywhere else, the cabinets fit beautifully with little to no modification, which made the process much smoother. Quality The blue finish is stunning, and the cabinets look and feel high-quality. With the hardware, the look really pops. Each piece felt durable in hand--not flimsy or brittle at all. Even after handling them a bit roughly during installation, they showed little to no scratching. That gave me confidence that these cabinets will hold up well over time. Customer Support I ended up needing customer support more often than expected, but every interaction was positive. Responses always came quickly--usually within the same day--and each issue was met with a solution that went above and beyond what I expected. At times, I even received text updates, which I truly appreciated. Yes, a couple of delivery dates had to be shifted, but honestly, for a three-month project, waiting a few extra days wasn't a dealbreaker. In fact, the consistent communication helped make those delays much easier to accept. Overall My project isn't completely finished yet, but I can already say I'm thrilled with the results. The cabinets look amazing, the quality is solid, and the customer service has been dependable and supportive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wholesale Cabinets to anyone starting their remodel journey.

The design was supposed to include a pullout/rollout mechanism with hidden hinges on both sides so the two doors could open fully for access to the back storage area. Jay also agreed he would patch a hole in the floor tile caused by removing the old framework that C&C did not do. When installer Greg arrived in April, he quickly determined the design wouldn't work. The hinges would be exposed, there was no functional wheel slide-out, and the unit was undersized. Jay then convinced my wife to switch to a single-piece unit that was supposed to be delivered today (June 20, 2026). Since then, C&C has gone completely silent. Multiple calls and texts have gone unanswered, including my text directly asking Jay to refund our $1,091.25 [I mistakenly texted Jay it was $900] deposit. In advance of the install, I spent $450 to have the floor tile professionally patched up based on their commitment. We are now out $1,541.25 ($1,091.25 deposit + $450 floor repair), with no product, no resolution, and no communication. Jay's initial assurances about the build and the floor repair never materialized, and the company has simply stopped responding. I have already filed complaints with the California Attorney General, BBB, and Consumer Affairs. I strongly advise others to avoid C&C. The sales promises do not match the reality of their work, and getting your deposit back appears very difficult once things go wrong.

Yelp worked its magic and connected me with a few businesses, and C&C was the quickest to respond (always a good sign!). Their reviews looked solid, so I went for it. After a few texts and calls, we were off and running! From first contact to final install was about 52 days, which felt totally reasonable to me. I even did a little extra ChatGPT-ing on pricing, and everything checked out there too. There were a couple small hiccups along the way, and communication could've been a bit smoother at times, but JC was always professional, friendly, and easy to talk to, which made a big difference. And Greg, the installer? Amazing. I really appreciated his thoughtful input on details I wouldn't have even considered, like pull handle placement and caulk color (who knew that mattered so much?!). All in all, I'm so happy with how everything turned out. The room finally looks beautiful, complete and homey. I'd absolutely recommend C&C to friends and family. Thanks again!
