I don't like to leave negative reviews, but in my experience over the three years we've worked with them, they are unprofessional, unreliable, difficult to reach, slow to respond and absolutely unwilling to take responsibility for mistakes made. We paid them to put in a whole house water filtration system and getting them to service it has been like pulling teeth - miserable! They took the easy work. Then when it got difficult they abandoned us. They supposedly fixed a water softener for us but it never worked and they would not return our calls. Also when we asked them to bid another job for us. We waited weeks and never heard. When we finally got ahold of them they claimed they could not send us a bid because they didn't have our correct email. They never asked us for an email. Buyer beware. read more

I called DMI at 4:00 on Friday as we had no water after returning from vacation. Justin came out Saturday morning and troubleshot and diagnosed the faulty splice under a heat shrink sleeve. These people are fabulous. The first time I called them our pump died three days before Xmas and we had 12 people coming. They got it done for us. These guys are great. Responsive, reliable and very easy to deal with. We had them install a pump and later perform a well pump test and water quality sampling. They always answer the phone and get to you (or back to you with calls) when they say they will. They are competent and smart, and worked with me to keep my costs low. Great guys. My well pump broke and they took each and every effort to get me my water back. They came up four times to try and deal with my issue, identifying a new problem with servicing the pump each time, and only charged me for the first visit. Although they didn't have the equipment in the end, they immediately referred me to another company that was up there the same day and could take care of my problem. In addition - I later had an additional issue and called Josh up. Got the water flowing over the phone immediately. Excellent service. I highly recommend these guys. read more

I have had no experience with any well company but Triangle Drilling, who installed the well on my property in 1992 and made a repair for me about 10 years ago on a part that broke when it froze. They were great. But I have a home warranty company, and added my well pump to my coverage, so I don't have a choice. Well, when my water quit flowing late this morning, I called my home warranty company, Fidelity, at 12:20pm and they said they would expedite the repair and I should have a company in touch with me today or tomorrow. At 1:37 PM, Dennis of DMI called me to say that his sons Josh and Jeremy were in Placerville proper, and should be at my house within an hour, although he had yet to receive the work order from Fidelity. It took closer to an hour and a half for them to arrive, due to one of the two roads into my subdivision being closed, but that's no knock against them, and the fact that they didn't seem irritated is actually a compliment. First they thought it was old fuses and replaced them, but they noticed that the pump was only getting just over half the power it should, so then they checked my breaker box. Well, the breaker switches for the pump were loose and old and worn out, so they replaced them. And, voilà! water came a flowin'. In other words, the well techs became electricians and were done in about half an hour. (I didn't actually time their arrival or departure.) I was so impressed with the customer service, the professionalism, the knowledge, the politeness, the friendliness, the tolerance of the five dogs at my house, etc., etc., etc. I don't have a single negative thing to say about my dealing with this company. Had a emergency issue with my well that left me unable to draw water to my house. I called DMI after my old well service person never returned my call. DMI came out the very next day! They replaced my old worn out pressure tank in no time and saved me the hassle of not having water to my house! I will use DMI in the future for all my well issues. read more

Bar none the greatest! When you buy a home that needs lots of love it only helps when you get the best help for it. This happens to be the case here. Dennis and Josh went beyond their service for my family. When you can't shower or wash clothes in your own house you feel depleted.Dennis walked me through a few steps to prolong our water usage until we could afford the fix. Allowing us to at least have water.Then they worked with us on payment.With six kids and just getting over the holidays,moneys been tight. We are forever thank you for this amazing honorable company. We moved into our house inb 2015. The next year, 2016 we had a problem with our well and had no water. Called DMI. They came out shortly and replaced the whole system, usiing sub-standard parts (steel pipes rather than the stronger galvenized steel which are needed to contain the 80+ psi water pressure). It cost us over $1,000.00 However, within the next year or two the pipes they installed began to leak and we had to call them again to come and fix the equipment that they themselves installed. Once again we had to pay (this time over $600.00), even though the fault was theirs -- but did we complain? No, we paid them and let it ride. But once again the fix was not all that good, and the pipe soon started to leak once again. We called them yet again to come and fix the pipe they installed, but this time they failed to respond. Finally, 5 years later the pipe split open at the threads causing water to shoot out everywhere. We had to shut off the water and called DMI again, although we seriously considered finding someone more experienced and knowledgeable about fixing wells. Still, we were willing to give them another chance. They promised to come back the next day and fix the problem. Unfortunately, after I hung up the phone and put the cell phone in my pocket it accidentally redialed DMI (the so-called "butt-dial"). My son and I were discussing the problems we had had with DMI over the years, fixing (or rather, NOT fixing) the pipe which they themselves installed, and the fact that they had ignored our last two or three attempts to get them out here. The DMI man on the other end of the phone heard our conversation, and became exceedingly angry that we were "bad-mouthing" them. Given our experience with DMI we do not recommend that anyone use their services. Besides installing defective pipes, which we could not get them to repair after numerous attempts, they took offense. becoming rude and angry, that we would actually have anything negative to say about them. They should have said to us, "hey, I heard what you said, and I am sorry that we did not live up to your expectations. However, we are grateful that you are giving us another chance to make good on our work, and we will be there bright and early tomorrow to permanently repair your well and its pipes." It would have been nice if that had been what they said, but instead they pelted us with rudeness and insults because they overheard our conversation in which we were being truthful about the shoddy work they did. You can call on them if you like, but be prepared to pay through the nose for substandard work and bad treatment from their employees. read more

Family run business- Dennis Irvin is the owner. Think it's just him and his son. Our regular well guy was out of town in Mexico, so he referred us to DMI Pump Service. He came out on a Sunday (without charging extra), and Superbowl Sunday at that. Fixed our water pump and replaced it within a few hours. Our pump was from 1983, and supposedly they go out within 10 years. He said he's seen some older, so guess it depends on the pump. He replaced it with a Stayright pump (not sure if that's a good brand or not). 5 year warranty on the pump. $1,255 for labor and the pump. Not sure if that's a good deal, but worth it for the price of water! Considering we're probably about an hour away, I can appreciate family run businesses that help you when you're in need. Poor work ethic.. charge me to come out and fix my well,told me everything was fixed after ten minutes and then very next day went out again. When I called him to come back out and take a look at it because the test he did honestly did not fix the problem he told me he was in have to charge me again.
