Highly recommended. I needed a tankless water heater replaced and Chris was super responsive every step of the way. He provided good recommendations on which tankless water heaters to go with and also quoted me a fair price for the heater and the installation. Most importantly, he showed up at 7am on a Saturday morning to do the installation. He answered all my questions and did a very thorough and high quality installation. He is definitely my go to guy for my next plumbing project in South Lake Tahoe. read more

Finite Welding - Perfect major shower upgrade. - Metal Fabricators Near Me

We called Chris' company and had a call back within 30 minutes. We scheduled a time for him to look at our job. He was on time for that appointment. He's very respectful, knowledgeable, friendly, and had great ideas on how to clean up our project. Chris completed our job yesterday, and we will definitely have him back in the new year for a few more projects. You can tell that he has very high standards for him I highly recommend him. January 23rd update: We had Chris out today for the third and final stage of our remodel. He installed our hands free Kohler faucet, garbage disposal and garbage disposal button, and the air gap for the dishwasher. The end result is perfection. My husband and I can't say enough about Chris. We really like him as a person, his work ethic, and how prepared he is for the job. I mean....who calls from the hardware store to see if we needed anything. We really like Chris and hope to have him back someday to do more projects. Thank you Chris! read more

Mountain enterprise employees broke the main waterline for my house. They repaired the line, however the tankless hot water heater and hot water wasn't working at all after the "fix". Chris found the problem and fixed it extremely fast (all after hours). Chris even fine tuned a setting on the water heater I didn't even know existed. Thanks again!! read more

This is the guy that cares about his work and is willing to temporarily fix Kitec plumbing (Kitec is not fixable once it goes) so you can get the water back on. After 4 plumbers said no to working on Kitec plumbing and two no-shows, I found Chris from Finite Plumbing. After six days without water and multiple attempts to temporarily get water back in the hours, Chris fixed our system in under 5 hours. He also addressed the poor workmanship in the connections to the water heater. A true professional in his craft and our plumber from now on. Thank you, Chris. read more

I had a difficult custom job, with specific needs and after talking to a few welders in central California, I went with Finite Plumbing because they were competitively priced, very responsive and asked relevant and thoughtful questions when discussing my project. The work they did came out far better than I'd even hoped for and I really felt like they cared about getting it exactly the way I envisioned it. Service like that can be hard to find in my experience. I will definitely recommend them and use them again for any future welding projects. read more

Called on the 3rd of July mid morning and he worked til 7pm making it happen. He's great. Don't make them like Chris.

I have to share another review for Chris at Finite Plumbing. Today I had a new refrigerator delivered and the guys tore out a water faucet when driving out. Water was spewing everywhere and we couldn't find the water shut off. I took a risk calling Chris unexpectedly and he answered!!! He had me put the call on FaceTime, via camera showed me how to shut off the well and agreed to come out and fix it later. He got to me before end of day and fixed it. Now that's real service!! Chris saved the day for us!! read more

When you see water dripping from the corner of your ceiling you know something's seriously wrong, and it's time to call a plumber. So I contacted Finite Plumbing & Welding and (thank God) they responded right away. Chris Smith showed up and in seconds I knew he could do the job. He came in well-prepared, opened up the wall, and quickly fixed the pipe that was leaking. In less than an hour the problem was resolved and life was back to normal! I highly recommend this company to anyone with plumbing issues, no matter the size or nature of the job. I've already talked to Chris about our next project, which is to upgrade the kitchen sink. Definitely looking forward to that! read more

The shower in our only bathroom in a 1940s house was leaking. My husband was able to get it to stop but the whole valve inside the wall needed to be replaced. Chris was quick to respond and sent an accurate quote. Since it wasn't an emergency we scheduled him to come out a couple days later. He was on time and got right to work. The job included cutting the tile which he cleaned up and got the dust as well. He also quoted us a fair price for other plumbing work and was patient with all of our questions. He will be the only plumber we use from now on! read more

This guy just fixed our broken desk. He did a Great job! I would recommend to everyone. Very nice too

I was in need of emergency repair for a leaking faucet and couldn't find anyone to come in from Tahoe. Chris drove from el Dorado. He was communicative of his ETA and came in earlier than the appointment. His demeanor is very professional. His quality of work is great. He would explain the issues and different options and scenarios. He has a 4 hour minimum for Tahoe area which is fair since he is driving 2 hours here. He also typed up a report for me to submit. read more

Power outage fried our water heater and we were left without hot water in our vacation home. I emailed Chris and he came out the next day and replaced it. It was amazing how fast he was. Great communication. Will contact him again! read more

Chris at Finite Plumbing was fantastic!! I couldn't be happier. I got several bids on my big project - most of them from large, well known plumbing outfits. To begin, Finite's bid was by far the least expensive. Well aware of the "you get what you pay for" concern, prior to making my final decision, I spent a fair amount of time talking with Chris about the project and getting a feel for his knowledge and experience. I found him professional, very knowledgeable and courteous. Feeling very comfortable about him and his capabilities following our meeting, I gave him the job. Once hired, he quickly got me on his schedule to do the job, did great work and knocked it all out in one long day. I won't look any farther than Chris and Finite Plumbing for my next project - regardless of large or small. read more

When the other big plumbing company couldn't finish the job and rescheduled me for the following week despite knowing I had no water, Chris came out the same day and repaired an underground water line. He was also able to find the right part at a nearby hardware store. He was prompt, fair, and professional. Thanks, Chris! read more

Chris did a great job. Water heater replacement last minute on a Friday! Responsive and fair prices. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend working with Chris. He's very professional, knowledgeable, timely, and helpful given complex situations. My tankless water heater stopped working, and I was on a tight timeline to get it up and running. I called a number of places that couldn't come out for a few weeks. Lucky for me, Chris had a cancellation when I called and he squeezed me into his schedule to be able to come out the same day to troubleshoot the issue. He figured out the electrical blew out the main board. He quickly found the same model from one of his suppliers and picked it up at 6 am the next morning to come and install it early morning to have it ready in time. He even made sure other electrical was installed correctly so that I didn't have any issues with any other appliances. He really saved me in this situation. He will be the first person I call next time. His prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality service he provides. read more

Chris came out to fix a leak problem years in the making. He took care of it fast and efficient! Very professional and a super nice guy! Thanks Chris! read more

Chris with Finite Plumbing and Welding is great. A down to earth guy who is honest and hardworking. We needed three things done at our cabin. The main house shut off was stuck and wouldn't budge, which made me very nervous with the cold weather when we weren't home. Especially having experienced a burst water line for 3 days at a previous house. Burst pipes are no fun. We also needed to remove some plumbing that wasn't done properly in a closet where a hot water tank was removed and shut offs for the exterior hose bibs. Chris came up with a better solution to make our lives easier with a new ball valve shut off inside the mechanical closet (rather than the square rod shut off). He also made sure to look at the plumbing lines to other areas in our house so when he cut and caped plumbing lines that were in the closet, everything in the house worked the way it should. He also inspected and pointed out that the exterior hose bibs were the kind rated for the exterior freeze conditions and it wouldn't make sense to waste money to install separate shut offs. All of this work was primarily done in our crawl space too, so not easy space to work in. Work was really well done. Lastly I want to mention that he was very responsive via Yelp and text message and he showed up 10 minutes early. If we have more plumbing projects, then Chris will be our first and only person we call. read more
