Please stay away from this company! I stupidly trusted the person who called, Amber Sweet, she seemed knowledgeable about my situation with a different finance company. Amber completely lied to me about a refund I was supposed to get. Amber then talked me into believing her company worked with my other finance company (A Lie) and that I owed a final payment of nearly $675.00. Because of the refund she told me I was getting I agreed to it. It wasn't until Amber started demanding a monthly payment too, I caught on. Unfortunately, it was too late. DO NOT use them, they said they will do all these things to help and in the end, all they want is your money. YOU can do this all on your own, all you have to do is call them whatever credit card you owe and work out a payment plan. THEY want their money back and are willing to take half of it back. There is a downside that money that is left over will count as income on your taxes, but you will not have it affect your credit score, it takes 30-40 days for them to update the balance as zero. My father has been working with DMB for about 3 or 4 years now. They have been good at communicating steps at every level and maintaining us abreast of settlements. The agents in charge of my dad's account have been changed 3 or 4 times throughout the process, but the last one, Luis Cruz, has been very good at communicating for the time he has been the agent. I believe that my dad could have done this on his own and that it wasn't necessary to go through a debt relief company, but as far as they go, DMB has been up front and consistent with their services. We are at the tail end of the payment plan, and I'm hoping that they do what they promised they would. That awaits to be seen. read more

I have had nothing but positive experiences with DMB. I signed up in 2018 with $10,000 of credit card debt and it is gone. If you attend all of the participant phone calls and listen to what you're being told, you shouldn't have any surprises. I had my payment arranged to be taken out of my account on the 9th of each month and when I needed to switch it to later in the month, it was no problem. They do make you aware that the payment may start to draft out of your account a couple days before your actual payment date and will send you an email reminding you to have money in your account. I used DMB thinking it was a good option to get out of debt. I assumed once they settled with a company, they'd pay them and not take their fee first. After they settled with two creditors, I was confused as to why this would take so long as I was paying $500 a month. After I knew the settlement fees were paid, I cancelled the program. When I called to do so, Cindy Peters, told me that anything they settled would be cancelled and I'd be back at square one along with paying interest. I simply called Capital One and Wells Fargo and set up my own bank account information and continued to pay on the agreed upon settlement. There was no starting over, no extra interest charges, or hassle. I'd recommend you stay away from DMB at all costs. Anyone can settle their debts on their own. I was very skeptical at first because they were telling me to stop paying on my credit cards and to not answer the phone when the creditors call. It's very much a trust the process program. After 3 years I finally settled my last credit card through DMB and officially paid off more than $17,000 in credit card debt. I am writing this review about DMB Financial so that others who are in a similar "no-win" situation that my husband and I were in, may find themselves on the other side as we are now. I was actually looking into getting a consolidation loan to pay off our outstanding debts which would have been at an extremely high interest rate and would have taken us at least 6 years to pay, if we were lucky. We did not qualify for that loan so I was transferred to DMB Financial for assistance. That was the best thing that could have happened to us. The representative was extremely empathetic, knowledgeable and patient when explaining to me how they could help us get out of the situation that we were in. My husband was skeptical at first but I had a really good feeling about them and what they said made sense financially. Therefore, we decided to give it a try and I am not lying when I tell you it was one of the smartest things that I have ever done! We have completed the program and now we are free of those debts that kept me up at night! We had a few snags on our end but they worked with us to ensure our success with the program. My husband and I will be forever grateful to Mike G, our contact at DMB, who ALWAYS got back to us within 24 hours when I called and always made me feel better when the call was done. I have made 5 payments of $2020 and "they forgot " to tell me to move personal funds out of an account I have active with Wells Fargo. 26k was taken by Wells Fargo because DMB did not do their job. Head manager Ray Lake said to me "well, you sound like a savvy business woman. Don't you think you should have known not to keep funds there?" My response was "no! I've always paid my bills on time. I hired your company to tell me exactly what to do. I've done everything to contract." This company is solely focused on taking fees while NOT ensuring the safety and protection of the client. In addition, I learned today from my lawyer that it's illegal for them to take on business debt when a company is still in business. They 100% knew I was still in business as they were deducting my 2k/month in fees from my business checking account. If you are currently doing business with this company , I highly recommend you stop and find a company who really knows what they are doing. It can literally cost you all your liquid savings. I had 67,000 plus unsecured debt on credit cards and personal loans, etc. I got to the point, that I could not effort the monthly minimum payments of totaling $1,154. Contacted DMB Financial and they offered me to settle my debt through a 5 years program where I paid $824 monthly. This sounded good and I went for it. My credit score dove from 715 to 464 in the first 5 months, then I took action to my own and contacted all of my creditors. They were all ready to help me more than DMB Financial did! Some creditor settled for 20% that I owed, while others offered a 60 months pay off program with zero interest! DMB Financial forgot to tell me that they will withdraw their profit (40% of the amount they decreased on your each account) from your checking account after every settled account and do not pay any creditors until they got their money! This will lower your credit score further down! It is a lot better deal to contact your creditors on your own and negotiate with them with a deal, believe me! read more

They charge you 25% of the bill, before the deal is made, they also charge you to pay each month to deposit money into your escrow account, the fees total 26 dollars a month or so. I get a letter from an account wanting to settle and they say "send it to us" then they settle for the same amount but charge me 25% on top of the settlement, on a deal I could have made myself. That happened one time then I got smart. If you call them and tell them you settled the account they treat you like you are some dummy who got took. The whole thing is a scam. read more

This company is charging you %25 of whatever your balance is, to call the credit companies and do a job you can do yourself. Any credit company will work with you and offer you the same settlement percentages, you just need to know how to bargain with people. Offer them a percentage up front and they will be more than willing to work with you anyways. This is the worst company, its a decision I am regretting. For the first 3 months I was getting weekly calls, I have been with them for a year and a half, I have not received a settlement or offer after 3 months. My financial Advisor was changed without my knowledge. I emailed the new Advisor 3 times and have yet to receive an email back. Money is coming out of my bank every month and I have no f### idea whats going on. They supposedly have a 4 star BBB rating, probably hired actors and false advertising. I have also called my advisor a few times, not even the decency to return a call. They got my money now they ignore. Its a miracle I haven't been sued yet. Stay away from this company! I had been a client of theirs for about 2 years now. Not only did they rip me off for my money but they were also dishonest to me. Every month this company has been taking money from me that was going towards their tax program and I never even use their services for taxes to begin with. I believe at the beginning of the program I may have been suckered into signing up for that. I was completely unaware of that. If I didn't get into detail with asking questions of my payments nobody would've ever told me and they would continue to take my payment for that until I finished the program. To clients who are currently in the program please reach out to them and make sure you are not getting charged for their tax program unless you really are using the services for that.
