This place is hands down the WORST medical establishment I have ever dealt with and I've dealt with many. Their business model does not value patient satisfaction, efficiency or communication. They deserve a zero rating. First, there is one central phone number for all office locations and they are a third party call center that is "not local". If you have a question (regarding prescriptions, surgery, etc), you have to explain it to the person that answers and they will either put you on hold or call you back to relay information obtained from someone else. If you are lucky you can speak to the actual person who has the information only if they allow the call center to put you through. You are even told to call the main number if you have an emergency after surgery. I was "scheduled" for cornea surgery which they perform on Mondays but don't give you the surgery time or any instructions until the Friday before. When I didn't hear from them by early afternoon on Friday, I contacted them. After being on hold for several minutes with no one answering, an automated voice came on advising to either leave a message or text them "for a faster response". REALLY?! Finally, someone called me back and when I asked if they received pre-authorization from my insurance as I had requested, they said no one had followed up. This was confirmed by calling my insurance. I had to scramble by end of day to find out if my surgery would be covered so I could cancel if necessary. The day of the surgery I arrived at 7:30 as scheduled. At 8:30 they finally took me in, explained post op procedures and said the doctor would be in shortly to discuss. A minute later someone came in to tell me the surgery was cancelled because a tech "didn't show up" to work and asked if I could wait until 1:00. Uh, no thanks, I'll find another doctor who gives a sh*t. Additionally, they never told me I would need to wear goggles for a week after surgery which I don't have and could have purchased had they given me any information ahead of time. Finally, I had to have someone take off work to drive me since you are medicated and unable to drive yourself. So not only did they inconvenience me, but the person who had to take off work. WORST MEDICAL OFFICE EVER! FIND SOMEONE ELSE! read more

Dr. Vosoghi has been treating my Glaucoma since 2022. Overall I have had a good experience with Dr. Vosoghi's treatment. I'm so glad he is my eye doctor. Dr. Vososhi is always nice and professional. I like the fact that made time to look at my treatment history before he sit's down and looking at my eyes. I'm very satisfied with his professionalism and the treatment plan he has me on. At the Simi Valley office my experiences with the staff and his team have always been nice and friendly, I only waited 5 minutes to seeing the doctor. read more

Is Dr. Moisés Enghelberg an ophthalmologist or a car salesman? The DLV website says he's an ophthalmologist, but after visiting him he seems like a car salesman to me. Perhaps he should consider a career change. This man, Dr. Moisés Enghelber, tried to use scare tactics to attempt to get us to agree to an unnecessary surgery. He kept saying that the patient will go blind without the surgery (the patient has not gone blind and no surgery was done ... no surprise). He is not here to help/cure patients, he is here to cure his job. After we asked if surgery was the only option he said no, opened the door, and tried to walk out. He did not explain what the surgery would do, side effects or anything like that before he tried walking out. I then began to ask him what the surgery would do/how it would work and he told me "you can read about it on your own". I have little faith in a "doctor" who is incapable of explaining a procedure to me and answering the questions that I ask. After the doctor left, the nurse/scribe that was in the room kept trying to guilt us into getting the procedure. Not only are you not telling me what the procedure is so that I can make an educated decision, I highly doubt you even know what you are talking about considering the doctor probably told you to "read about it on your own" as well. If the doctor, the person who should be the expert on the matter, is not knowledgeable enough to answer my questions regarding a surgery that he specializes in, I'm definitely not listening to his nurse/scribe. The office staff and nurses are insufferable. They refused to let us know what the full treatment plan was when I asked at the front desk. We then asked for a quote and they just billed the insurance. We did not do any procedures here (for obvious reasons outlined above) and they still billed the insurance for procedures we didn't receive. We told our insurance this and our insurance has been calling their office and trying to reach them for the past MONTH; no reply. The car dealership is now committing insurance fraud. read more

5/5 for my results and my doctor. Four to be honest I'm being nice - I'd rate it 2-3 for office and setting up (consultation, prep and post op). So I went here because a family member suggested it. If it were not for Dr Asha Balakrishnan's (Dr. Bala) credentials, I would have not used this place or any of the locations except Camarillo. Camarillo the staff seemed happy and more knowledgeable! It seemed like the calls and anything I was trying to address was outsourced or agents were working remotely. Hard to get anyone live from the office. Nice when you have that kind of a lucrative business so customer service isn't needed. After my initial consultation no one reached out to me. After I'd had the time to think over what was the best fit for me -procedure wise and financial, I waited then reached out to them. My consultant was the same as the initial one and he really wasn't very knowledgeable nor did he like his job. Made me nervous!! We're talking about my eyes here not some hair cut. So I did have a rep reach out to me who was very knowledgeable and I set up all the appointments with her. I was told I'd hear from someone the day before my surgery for the time. I need to know so my driver can plan according - And again no one contacts me and it was close to 3pm so I had to get chase someone down. I left a message that I'd like to cancel bx I was nervous how things were done. The manager called me within 10 min and told me they were short staffed. She was very nice and made me feel better so I went through with the procedure the next day. Again I'm glad I went through the procedure and post op Doctor is very sweet, and the staff is good - just navigating through it initially is frustrating. You're in good hands just don't expect great costumer service or any type of follow ups or reminders with a personal touch. Expect text messages etc. The new digital world we're in! read more

I was referred to DLV Vision by my sister in law, I have some sun damage on my eye and I was looking for a second opinion by a professional. I saw Dr. Patrick Pham, he was very knowledgeable, trusting, and reassuring. He answered all my questions- I'm one of those who prepared for a Dr. Visit with notes. I appreciated the time he spent with me, I never felt rushed. I should mentioned the folks at the front desk were also kind & timely with my paperwork process. Pro trip- fill it out online before arriving (it's a lot). Lastly, I gave them 4 stars due to the 3pm voicemail left for me the day before my 9am appointment. When I called the number back, I spoke to an operator who told me "Ya, so the doctor can only see you at 8am now, 9am won't anymore." Although I am an early riser, I had to switch my morning plans around to accommodate the last minute request. 48hrs in advance notice would've been much more appreciated and less of a hassle. Went back for my follow up and met Dr. Vosoghi and he went above and beyond. Sat with me, talked about my injury, did extra test since my eye was still bothering me and did additional eye exam to make sure. Just what a patient wants really, a doctor who takes their time with you. I was called the next day after I got my survey and the caller was very apologetic and asked for all honest feedback. Long story short: Don't allow your elderly parents or hard of hearing family members to come here alone. Took my mom for a consultation after reading the positive reviews. What a mistake. This is the first time I've left a negative review for a medical office. I used to work in healthcare and I have never witnessed such unprofessionalism in my life. I brought my mom for a cataract assessment. The Doctor herself was great. However, the bald optometrist who assessed us before the doctor - a completely different story. He was extremely rude, disrespectful, and short-tempered. I have never had a medical professional tell me to sit in a different area from my mother or raise their voice at my mother. When someone has trouble understanding you due to language barriers or if they are hard of hearing, you don't raise your voice at the patient. Yelling doesn't make you more communicable. You could, on the other hand, ask their translator (me) for assistance rather than tell me to sit in a different area. You could also speak slower and enunciate clearer. Yelling at someone is not only rude, but it's ineffective at communicating and stresses out your patient. Secondly, when you see your patient is falling off of their chair or can barely even sit on the chair - perhaps it's best to ask the patient if you can adjust their seat for them. From the outside of the eye exam room, I could seeing my disabled mom almost fall from multiple stools that were way too high for her, I had to intervene to adjust the seats. I held the stool down for her, lowered them, and allowed her to safely sit - I guess this is too much work. When I calmly confronted him about his mannerisms (unlike his prior yelling), he did not seem apologetic at all and instead said "you should have told me." Ironic that is place is help people's vision but you can't see when your patient needs assistance. Also maybe it helps to look at your patient's file. Other staff members who witnessed and heard our interaction did not intervene or offer any apology. Also, this is the first time that I've seen optometrist/ophthalmologist office not offering disposable sunglasses to their patient after dilating their eyes. I know times are rough but they only for about a dollar on Amazon. Good thing I was there with her. Seriously considering contacting Medical Board of California. read more

I was referred to them by my optometrist for a glaucoma screening. They did comprehensive tests and I had the exam with Dr Vosoghi. He confirmed the optometrist's concern (elevated pressure) and prescribed medication. Dr Vosoghi was patient and his explanations were helpful. I had a follow up and showed improvement so will continue the medication. Being in the pandemic times, the office was excellent in following recommendations and screening. I had a really positive experience getting ICL surgery at DLV. One week op my test showed better than 20-20 vision which i only experienced as a kid so I don't remember. I received excellent care throughout the process. Dr Daugherty is very knowledgeable so I had full trust going into surgery. Overall, I had a good experience with LASIK at DLV Vision. My results were fantastic and my vision is now better than 20/20. Christina was amazing in helping answer any questions/concerns I had and she went above and beyond in assisting me with anything I needed. Christina checked on me the day of the surgery and was kind enough to follow up with me and see how I was doing a week later. The only reason preventing me from giving a 5 star review was the wait time on the day of the surgery. I sat around for about 2.5 hours before the surgery which seemed really unnecessary. They may have overbooked patients on that day but in the future they really should be more respectful of people's time. read more

I just got my lasik done last Friday and this is best ever decision of my life!!! I have been wearing glasses for over 30 years now and was so tired of my daily routine of contact lenses :( I came across DLV vision and Dr Paul through Google search back in 2020 and then Covid took off. I waited for a year and here I am todya with 20/15 vision Dr Paul is best ever Doctor. He talked to me thought out my surgery explained to me what's going on- he was gentle and concerned about my nervousness. The surgery was so quick - 3 min per eye - matter of 10 mins I can see world clearly with my own eyes!! Right from Preops to post ops the entire DLV team was super awesome and knew exactly what they are doing!! I feel so grateful to them and DLV!! Over 15 years ago Dr. Dougherty put in lens implants because I could not have lasik surgery due to eye issues. He did a wonderful job, so when it came to cataract surgery, there was no doubt who I would go to. Once again I was impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. The most professional and thorough eyecare experience. There is a full staff that greets you when you enter. Up-to-date, amazing equipment that gives you a thorough examination on all aspects of your eyes. The doctors take time to explain any issues. They give you a complete rundown of the best options for your care. I did not feel pressured to make a decision that day. It was suggested I may want to look at surgery in the future. My first experience with DLV was at their Westlake location. The ophthalmologist recommended to me by my GP told me I had a film growing behind my IOL and a simple 5 minute, low risk procedure called a posterior capsulotomy would give me clearer vision in 8 hours. A week later my vision in that eye was very blurry. I went in to see the doctor who performed the procedure. She was surprised my IOL lens had moved forward and my nearsightedness in the eye was worse. She told me I could get a new prescription, I didn't wear glasses before the procedure, or have lasik surgery in the eye to improve my vision to what it was before the procedure. After the procedure no one called to see how I was doing which surprised me. Unfortunately, the lasik is a voluntary procedure and not covered by Medicare. What? I felt she should correct it for free as she's the one who ruined it. I went to another of their doctors, much more experienced and closer to where I live. She told me as well that I needed lasik in my left eye to correct my vision to what it was before and it was not covered. I was told one of their consultants would call to discuss the fee and schedule an appointment. I'm still waiting and having trouble reading. Don't know what to make of this place. They keep sending me surveys to fill out but I really wonder if they read them. They sure haven't followed up with me re my comments read more

I wanted to wait until at least my one month post op before writing my review, and that appt was today. Absolutely amazing. I've been near sighted since as far back as I can remember. My vision was bad, -4.00 in each eye. I've worn contacts every day since high school (late 30's now) so I felt like it was time to give laser a try. Worth every penny. Wow! I can't say enough about my experience at this office. Ample parking, easy to schedule, the front office staff was really nice, the office was very clean and modern, and the doctor ran on time. Dr Zhang was extremely through, efficient, smart and answered all of our questions. She alleviated a lot of worry after needing an emergency appointment for an infection. Not only did she correctly diagnose the infection but helped with additinal suggestions for dry eyes. We will definitely be back and feel so lucky to have found this practice. read more

I don't even know where to start...I had been going to my glaucoma specialist Dr Vosoghi for several years, as my pressure crept up and many medication changes he recommended that I have cataract surgery to improve that situation since I had the beginnings of cataracts and removing them would improve the pressure..I went along and had it done and everything seemed fine until the fourth day and I woke up and couldn't see. I called immediately and Dr Lee saw me and determined that I din not have an eye infection and just take the new drop, well that same night my site worsened and and I called back Dr Lee again said just keep putting the drops in, which by the way were prescribed for a pressure spike, at that point having suspicions it may be an eye infection first he told me to keep using the drops and wait until Monday (he never offered to come back to the office to check me)..well by Sunday I called again and now I have a full blown eye infection inside my eyeball..from that point on I have been in the care of a specialist still not able to see clearly and am fighting to save the sight in my left eye. this has been a horrible nightmare and I don't know if I'll ever be able to see clearly again most people I know that have had this surgery were put on antibiotics before they even had the surgery to safeguard against this disaster!! The whole experience was a disaster from the first counselor I had to the preliminary examination to now not having vision..the only person who knew what she was doing was Kristin Michel. I however plan on being a success story and am tryin to have patience ,,,what if I wold have gotten the premium lens ?? Would they have reimbursed my money ...I seriously doubt it but you need to do your homework when it comes to any surgery ....get a second opinion , which I was going to do except the expense of the work made me shy away, now I realize I would have paid whatever the cost to avoid what I've had to endure. The staff and medical assistants are poorly prepared ( for example I had to explain to the person answering the phone that CVS is the actual name of my pharmacy and she confronted me and said " no no you don't understand I need your pharmacy name " scoffing when I replayed that CVS is the only name I knew ) , and with limited patient. Dr. E. rephrased his predecessor Dr. S. ( that unfortunately moved) diagnosed making it worst when actually it wasn't the case ( I had to go for a third consultation to understand what was happening with my eyes and actually everything is healing and I'm ok -said the new retina specialist outside DLV ). I requested a copy of my records including tests , I payed in advanced the 10 dollars required , it's more than three weeks and no news about them . Last week I called inquiring on the copies, I got disconnected so I called again and after several minutes on hold I was told " we will call you tomorrow " ( a week ago ) but no news yet . read more

Avoid this place! Total bait and switch here. When I called for an appointment after being referred by my regular ophthalmologist for a simple 90second laser procedure, I verified that they take my primary and secondary insurance. When I got to the appointment, I find that they don't take my secondary, and require a $100 payment before I can see the Dr. Ok, I just want to get this done. Then, they give me a full exam on both eyes, (I was just getting one eye done) which I don't think was necessary. Then I finally meet the Dr, for 5minutes, and she says they don't do it in this office, and I have to make another appointment in a more distant office, and pay another $100!! Why didn't they tell me all this when I called for the appointment? When I told my regular ophthalmologist about it, he used the words "slimy way of doing business" and he will think twice about referring patients there again. Needless to say, I never made that 2nd appointment, and just wrote off the first $100 to experience. read more

Dr. Bala is useless. Uncommunicative. Refused to discuss risk of delaying surgery with contact lenses. Seemed annoyed that I wanted to understand thoroughly before I let her come anywhere near me with a knife. Evaded and became annoyed and refused to answer so many times that I think she just doesn't know the answers. But aren't doctors supposed to know? Dismal bedside manner. Arrogant, superior self-absorbed. She seemed anxious to get back to a party apparently going on in one of the other rooms. She gets glowing reviews but not from me. Shows that she is inconsistent, capricious, unstable. What will be her mood on surgery day? I will never go back. read more

I asked that DLV doesn't contact me again and yet I get another message from Renata Stone, MBA CEO asking me to consider the hurt experienced by those people that reached out to me after all the mistakes. How about these people are better trained and informed before they contacted me and read carefully the information I provided of the multiple mistakes your company made. Clearly I am not the only person that rated you with one star. I am not alone when it comes to the poor experience I had with you. The doctor was great. Usually doctors are but it's the supporting staff that make or break the office. If you're running behind (as a lot of doctors do) you need to at the very least Simply acknowledge that it's been 50 minutes past the appointment time and apologize for the wait. your patients time is valuable too. Untrained support staff. Conflicting information given by different "patient care counselors". Doctors always late by hours for every appointment, even 1/2 day late for the surgery itself. Billing department is clueless and inaccessible. They charge for undiscussed services and don't provide either an itemized bill nor an explanation. Horrible business! read more

I am very disappointed that your organization doesn't disclose what it cost when you are told it's a free consultation. The girl making my appointment also scheduled me for the wrong office. I had Lasik 1 month ago and my vision is phenomenal! I was always told that I could never get Lasik by my optometrist but when I came here I was told I was well within range to get Lasik. Although not everyone will have the same experience, there are other surgeries that can be offered for others not within range. I'm very grateful for the entire clinic staff and surgery team that helped me. Special thanks to Dr. Bala who did my preop exam, who was so patient with my many questions, and Dr. Dougherty who conducted the surgery.
