WE have A 25 year old metal garage door. Called in because we noticed the seal on the bottom was cracked and part was missing. Dean and his helper came out that very same day. Very quickly replaced the bottom gasket. They notice the light bulbs had burned out in the garage door opener. Two new LED light were quickly put in. While they were checking the door they noticed a couple of the hinges were ready to brake, remember this is a old door. He had the correct hinges on his truck. In nothing flat he had our old garage door working like a brand new one. It works so well now quiet, smooth and I love when I walk into my garage the light comes on now. Dean Dlouhy is a very honest and reliable company. I am sure another company would of told us we needed to buy a new costly door. If you need your door repaired or replaced call them. You will not be sorry. read more

I paid over $1800.00 for a new garage door opener and new springs. I simply asked for an itemized receipt, and Jason told me that was not possible! I told Jason that this was not an unreasonable request. He stated, once again, that they do not do itemized cost/charges. I told him that if that is the case, I want the parts removed and I will stop payment on the credit card. read more

Dean is the owner and does the best job. When I moved into my house in 2012, Dean was the one who set up my garage doors. I have a 3 car garage. He also set up the keypad outside. My family uses the garage doors more than the front entrance door. So basically, my garage door probably opens and closes around 10 times per day! He's prompt and friendly. Ive called him to come over when sensors need to be adjusted. I would definitely recommend him to everyone that needs help with their garage. read more

I called in an emergency after my dad left his car unlocked and got the garage door opener remote stolen. I was in a panic because the thief probably had our address and access to the house. I remembered the business card stapled next to the opener in our home so I called and explained the situation. Jason was very empathetic, which calm me down. He gave me a great quote to replace the remotes and recode the system. He also got one of his technician to our house in an hour. Unfortunately, the system was 30 years old so no remotes were compatible and we had to replace it. They gave a good price and was willing to bill us instead of making us pay immediately. My dad says the technician (sorry I can't remember his name) was great during the whole installation process. He was also very patient in explaining the reasons behind the replacement. After the payment, Jason even gave me helpful advice on maintenance. I really recommend this company, from the manager to the technician. They installed the original garage door opener over 30 years ago and put in a new cool WiFi one for us now. Thanks for all of your help. read more

I called Dean, for an estimate on my garage door. I had a couple issues. 90's motor NO vinyl siding Around the door. Slow lift Loud rattling door. Safety feature may or may not be working. So, Dean showed up, he answered my questions. We agreed on the project. I needed a new motor and he installed it that day!!! My garage is now super smart. It sends me a notification that it's open or closed and how long it has been in either position. I got two clickers and a wall mounted remote. The door is now quieter then ever ! He returned the next day to Install the vinyl siding to seal the sides. The door is super safe mode now. All of my concerns were addressed. Would refer anyone that needs garage door help to call them up. He was able to squeeze me into his already busy schedule and I appreciate his hard work. Locally owned and operated!!! Dlouhy Doors installed our previous garage door opener more than 20 years ago. The mechanism still worked perfectly, but the old remotes could no longer function properly because of all the new radio frequency interference from cell towers, Wi-Fi routers, etc. The only solution was to install a brand new system using the latest radio frequency that avoids these conflicts. Owner Dean Dlouhy came personally to check on our problem and was able to immediately install the new opener for us. He finished the job in only two hours, and the new opener works flawlessly. Dean also did a great job explaining all the details of the new opener to us and even configured the remote control built into my car for me. The new opener is incredibly quiet, and the remotes work from 100 feet away or more. We are very satisfied and highly recommend his services. read more

We have used Dlouhy Doors now twice. First time our springs broke in such a way that we couldnt open the garage door. The big problem was that it was a Sunday, and the car was trapped inside, so my wife wouldnt be able to use it for work on Monday. Well, Dean came over on his day off and repaired it for us without any extra "weekend charges". Yesterday, Friday, we had Dean install a new motor and of course, we were very satisfied with his work. Trouble is that when we were trying to connect our car opener to the system today, we inadvertently erased the memory so nothing worked. Called Dean and he attempted to talk us through resetting, but we weren't able to. So guess what ? Dean comes back 15 minutes later on this Saturday, and not only resets the system, but connects our car for us too. Of course, no extra charge involved. Well Dean and his company have installed and repaired several of our neighbors garage doors and systems, and everyone I've talked to has nothing but praise for Dlouhy Doors. I will gladly recommend this company for anyone needing anything to do with garage doors and systems. Very Professional, very honest, and very fair pricing. Thanks again Dean, we certainly appreciate your service. read more

One of the springs broke on our garage door. Called their 24 hour hotline. They told me how to get the garage open and get my car out. They came by the next day and fixed the spring. Knowing we use our garage door as our entry/exit point to the house (heavy usage), Dean suggested a heavier duty springs (which had to be ordered). A week later they had those installed. We've used these guys for several years and I always appreciate their professionalism. I refer them as often as I can. Glad to give them my business. read more

Dean Dlouhy of Dlouhy Doors Inc did a great job for us when the springs broke on our garage door and related issues popped up. He did a FaceTime with us to get an idea of what was going on and gave us an estimate. He was very knowledgeable so we picked him over the others. He got to our house in good time and completed the repairs for less than the estimate since he concluded that some of the work he thought might be needed wasn't necessary. Dlouhy Doors installed our garage door and opener 20 years ago and did a great job! That was in 1994. This year, late 2014, the wireless part of our system wasn't working so well anymore so we bought a new opener at Home Depot - a Genie. My hubby and I got as far as removing the old garage door opener but he has bad knees and I REALLY am not a person who likes doing that sort of thing, so I finally convinced him we should call Dlouhy to have them install the new opener. Dean and Jeff came to our Poway home - great guys, very friendly - and spent a couple of hours on our project. They not only installed the new opener, they lubed our door and the existing rails and everything runs like a dream. Dlouhy prefers non-Genie products, but since we had already purchase that particular product they were happy to work with what we had. The price was reasonable and the service was good. Definitely recommend these folks. The only reason I didn't award five stars is because they didn't come out as scheduled on a Monday afternoon. Communication glitch, apparently. They did make it on Wednesday of that same week though, and they were worth the wait. read more

They came out right away to measure my door area for the new door. He did tell me because of covid the door would take a while to be made to my specs which worked out fine for me since my door was old but could diffidently wait. We set up for the day to replace the door the head man came out ( Dean) and made sure that everything was going right. His worker was polite and knew what he was doing. After he was done he went over several times all the operations of the unit. I did have a problem with the keypad about a month or so later where my code would not open the door. I called and Dean Dlouhy came out and was there about an hour later. This turned out to be a minor fix . He spent some time going thru the entire system afterwards to make sure everything was perfect. This is a company that takes pride in their work and for coming out there was no charge for the repair. read more
