Once a year or so, I like to get my car washed, waxed, and detailed. It's good for it, and I can't…read moredo it myself. In this case, it had been three years since I had done it; with COVID, it just didn't happen. I googled places to get your car detailed in ABQ, and this came up. I love all the services they offer, especially the clay bar and wax, because that gets all the impurities off the paint and makes it like glass. I called on Wednesday, and they could take it on Friday. They even gave me a loaner car which was great; it freed me up to run errands and go home. The radio didn't work in it, but it was a complementary ride, so I really can't complain. He quoted me 299+ tax, and that's precisely what it was when I came to pick it up. It could have been more depending on the filthy ness of the vehicle. I dropped it off just before 9 am, and it was ready at 2 pm. The outside looked glossy, and shiny, except for a few places with water drops, but they were on the lights. The all-weather mats were clean and glistened like they had been oiled; I think they looked better than when they were new. The leather seats were shiny and everything smelled so nice. I was very impressed until I found a few remaining frys under the front seat when I moved it to get my phone that I had dropped. That made me feel like he could have done a more thorough job with the vacuum. However, I'm very happy with the job overall and would recommend to others!

The service was friendly and timely but overall I'm sorry to say that my car was not properly…read morefixed. My car was stolen and the catalytic converter was cut out. Luckily, the police found it and after sitting at a tow yard for days I finally received a letter in the mail to pick it up. After paying inflated towing fees from not being informed in a timely manner I was able to retrieve it. I called around to many mechanics to find someone who could tow it to their business to fix it for a reasonable price and Auto Depot offered the best rate. The service was quick and everything seemed great when I drove it away (they even steamed clean the inside for me except they forgot the ceiling). I had originally bought the car to use it to move back home. So I informed the mechanic that I would be towing a small U-Haul trailer with it for a long distance. The car worked well until I got to my destination. Once there, the check engine light came on and it started making a loud roaring sound. I took it to another mechanic in my new city and he told me that the catalytic converter that was put on was an aftermarket converter that was not high quality. So it had fallen apart and would need to be replaced again. I told him that I had paid over $1,300 to have a new one put on already and I couldn't afford to replace it right away due to moving costs. So somehow he stuck it back together for me for the short term. He also said it wouldn't smog anyway even if it hadn't broken since it wasn't replaced according to my new state's standards. I can't fault Auto Depot for that as they're not aware of my home state's regulations but they did tell me they tried to add something that would make it work for getting smogged where I was going but it didn't. Despite this though it would've been nice if the converter had properly worked even if it couldn't pass a smog check since I paid so much to get it fixed.

Had my truck towed to Zia twice within several months both times for brakes. First experience…read moreseamed great and I drove away with brakes that seemed to be working properly. 2 minutes after leaving a got a trailer brake controller fault that was no big deal and only required me to completely install the plug on the pedal for the brake light switch as it wasn't all the way snapped in. A couple months later my brakes started dragging on the interstate and burned all my pads and rotors so again I put it on a tow truck to Zia. It seemed odd that the brakes would fail so soon after having work done seeing as how I had not driven the truck more than 200 miles after the last repairs but it is an older truck so I didn't put much thought in it just trusted that Zia would do a good job. They got me a quote for repairs and I was working with Rich as my service writer. I approved the repairs and waited to hear from Rich but never got a call so I reached out. Turns out the 3400 dollars I agreed to pay didn't fix my truck but they were going to try something else so I let it go. Again some time passed and I never heard from them so I reached out to Rich and he again informed me it didn't work. After an in person conversation with several people in the shop we came to an agreement on the next steps and I was promised by the lead technician that if it didn't fix my truck I wouldn't be charged for it but the part would have to be ordered. A week goes by and I haven't heard anything from Rich as usual so I call and they have installed the part and are test driving the truck now Rich says he will call in an hour with an update and wouldn't you know it 4 hours went by and Rich never called so I did. There repairs did not work and they where going to try something else the following day and Rich again stated he would let me know by lunch time and again he never called so I called again and the repairs still didn't work so they wanted more money to send it to a different shop like an idiot I approved the work. The next day I call Rich at 4PM who informed me my truck is ready to be picked up why they didn't call I don't know but by this point I know it right on par for Rich. At this point Zia has had my truck for 3 weeks. I go to pay my now 4500 dollar bill only to find my truck now has a warning light for tire pressure sensors that I previously paid another shop to program out of the system. When confronted with this Zia tells me they will have to take it back to a different shop and have it fixed for an additional 300 dollars. At this point I'm rather upset and let them know they need to fix it without payment because they messed it up. They again want to try and do it themselves so they don't have to eat the cost from the other shop. Fast forward I've had my truck back for 48 hours and I jump on the freeway with my family and the brakes start dragging and burning again. I call Zia as they supposedly offer a warranty and I speak with the owner named James. He right away starts throwing out excuses on why it won't be warranty work do to modifications on my truck that have nothing to do with brakes and saying how he has 37 years experience so clearly he can't be wrong. I took my truck to a different shop and they found in 1 hour that Zia auto hadn't properly adjusted the push rod from the hydroboost they installed the first time and this caused the brakes to drag. I spent over 7000 dollars with Zia and got nothing but ripped off. They don't care about the customer only the money you give them if I could I would give them a negative 5 stars Rich doesn't communicate even when he promises to and the owner doesn't care.
