We can't recommend Ran and DKR Construction highly enough! We interviewed several contractors before choosing DKR, and the difference was obvious from our very first meeting. While others were vague about pricing and the process, Ran immediately wanted to understand our vision, our budget, and what was most important to us. He was transparent, organized, and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. We had never built an ADU before, so having someone who patiently explained the process and set clear expectations made all the difference. He was upfront about costs, offered thoughtful recommendations on where to invest for the biggest impact, and helped us create a space that feels truly custom. The entire DKR team was fantastic--professional, hardworking, respectful, and they genuinely cared about the quality of their work. Today, our dream ADU has become a beautiful custom grandma home and, without exaggeration, the jewel of our block. We get compliments on it all the time. If you're looking for a contractor who is honest, communicative, incredibly skilled, and treats your project like it's his own, Ran and DKR Construction are the team to hire. We're so grateful we found them. read more

I recently had DKR do a 300sqft master suite addition at the back of the house. They did everything from plans to finishes. I'm very happy with the quality of the work they did and the speed that they finished the job. Before hiring DKR, I had interviewed about 9 different contractors to bid on the home addition. DKR at the time was not one of them. I had already narrowed down to 3 potentials and was going to make a decision that week. Then I came across a neighbors post about DKR on Nextdoor. So I gave the GC Ran a call and setup an appointment. Ran came by to give a quote. I knew shortly after meeting him I would probably be using DKR for the job. He seemed genuine and honest about the work, budget and timeline. I checked out some of his projects in person and talked to a couple referrals. After having gone through the same process with a number of other contractors, DKR really stood out. They felt like the best fit and im glad I chose them. They are well organized good with staying on schedule and they stayed on budget. They do a great job coordinating the various trades to keep things moving and avoid delays. I feel like they did a great job addressing and remedying any issues that unexpectedly presented themselves. Ran is a great GC to work with. He was very transparent with scope of work budget and timeline from the start. He was thoughtful in his approach and suggestions with the project. He really cares about the outcome and it reflects in the quality of work. Albert was accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. He managed all the paperwork, permits and payments. Our project manager Pierre was really great. He made himself available to answer questions and concerns throughout the project. He provided frequent updates. He was great about dealing with any hiccups along the way and had good suggestions for some finishing details. He did a great job managing the various teams that had to come by and he was frequently on site throughout the duration of the project. I really liked working with them and I'm using Ran and his team again to do a major bathroom remodel. Which im very excited to have finished. read more

Ran and his team did our ADU conversion and backyard renovation in 2025-2026 and we couldn't be happier with the results and the process. We were totally new to the reno process and Ran and Fernando were super clear, communicative, attentive, helpful, and pleasant to work with. They were easy to reach and were regularly on site -- in fact, we'll miss seeing them so often! Any questions were addressed promptly and with zero gaslighting or ghosting. The quality of the work for everyone they brought in was beyond excellent, from the painters to the tile installers for bathroom to the guys who did a painstaking and beautiful exterior flagstone install. Highly recommend getting in their queue for any renovation projects. read more

I can't remember hearing anything good about contractors, so I'm delighted to say my experience with DKR has been terrific. They just completed a complete remodel and addition to our home, which included many fine architectural details--it was not a simple job. Our completed home is beautiful, and the whole process of construction was fast and without any headaches. It was so easy, that I'm very grateful and surprised. From DKR's owner, Ran, to our project supervisors Jose and Fernando, a terrific office administrator Albert and the various subcontractors, everyone has been a pleasure to deal with. DKR was always responsive and took care of the myriad of details to make the process easy for my wife and I. They also referred an interior designer who was a huge help in dealing with the many decisions which were required. I would definitely hire them again. read more

We had a wonderful experience with DKR Construction.  They recently remodeled our very outdated kitchen from the 70s.  We are in love with our beautiful new kitchen that is extremely functional.  From the beginning Ran and his team were always very professional, easy to get a hold of and happy to listen to our ideas.  Ran also helped us come up with a smart layout that we wouldn't have thought of.  We also truly appreciated that Ran and his team helped us stay within our budget. QUALITY OF WORK: -The work is incredibly high end.  Ran's team are some of the best in the business.   -The DKR team was very knowledgeable and highly skilled. -They also had their talented cabinet maker building and painting all our custom cabinets at his studio which helped save us time with our remodel, we also never had any strong smells in the house or any mess. -The team was impeccable with prepping the space and setting up strong plastic barriers and covers while we lived at the house during our remodel.  They also kept things clean and there was no dust.  Even after one day of demolition there wasn't any dust in the house. COLLABORATIVE: -We originally wanted a kitchen island and Ran was smart to say that within our budget would the island really make the kitchen more functional as we would have had to take down multiple load bearing walls.   -He offered a great idea that if we wrapped our countertops along the corner of our bonus area.  He also suggested that we change our old sliding door that we never used into a large window with a counter top area and stools.  This is now our favorite place to have a peaceful breakfast and even an area to do work. -This also solved our problem of wanting more countertop space and I named this wrap around corner our Baking station as we put in a Rev-a-shelf Kitchen Aid mixer!  No more having my husband have to carry down and move this heavy appliance and it doesn't take up any valuable counter space. COMMUNICATION: -Mario, Albert and Ran were very easy to get a hold of and had a great team that communicated well with each other. -They would always inform me before someone was showing up so I wasn't caught off guard. -I am a designer and Ran and his team were always very respectful of my vision.  He recommended a fabulous designer who created the most beautiful 3D renderings based on our ideas. PAYMENT: -They were incredibly professional and would always send a proper invoice explaining the cost. -There was always full transparency if we designed to add on work based on our initial design contract. We can't wait to work with DKR for all our future projects and highly recommend them! read more

We did a major renovation with our property where 80% of the property was significantly altered. Our house is around 4,200 square feet sitting on about .4 acres of land. We re-configured the driveway, re-did the swimming pool and the spa as well as re-doing the hardscape of the entire backyard. We broke down existing walls and moved bathrooms to different spots and even added 2 more bathrooms. We re-did the electrical systems and all of the plumbing. Basically we took a house built in 1925 and modernized it to today's standards while maintaining its inherent aesthetics. DKR was clear from the beginning what it was going to do and how much it was going to cost. I have heard many horror stories of working with general contractors in major projects from many colleagues and friends. However, we were pleasantly surprised how smoothly and efficiently this enormous project went. Ran was our main General Contractor and our onsite project manager was Pierre. Albert was the office guy handling all the money and contracts. All three were very pleasant to deal with during this 12 month long project. We will definitely be working with DKR as we have other smaller alterations to this property already in mind. read more

I recently had my house remodeled by DKR Construction, and it feels like I'm living in a brand new home! Ran, the owner, worked closely with me to find the perfect design that fits my lifestyle and tailored everything to create a home that not only suits my children now but will grow with them in the future. His positivity and solutions-oriented approach made the entire experience enjoyable--no matter what challenges came up, Ran always knew exactly what to do. What really stood out to me was how quickly he moved. We completed a full home remodel in about six months, which is incredible for the scope of the project. Ran has incredibly high expectations for himself and his team, and his meticulous attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the work. The end result is absolutely stunning--every time I walk into a room, I'm overwhelmed by how fantastic everything looks. It truly brings me so much joy. The craftsmanship is outstanding, and I feel like I'm in a completely new home. Throughout the process, Ran and his team were communicative and responsive. Anytime there was an issue, I could count on them to address it quickly. His support staff was consistently kind, professional, and always willing to assist with whatever I needed. We worked together on the budget and found creative solutions as problems arose. I cannot recommend DKR Construction more highly--Ran turned my vision into reality, and I almost wish I had another house just so I could work with them again! read more

DKR Construction is without question the most trustworthy General Contractor company I have ever worked with. My job is in commercial real estate and over the years I have renovated, including ground up construction, 5 homes in greater Los Angeles. DKR is thoughtful in their approach to the overall project. They provide useful feedback relevant to the timeline and costs that not only save money and time but enhances the overall vision. They work seamlessly with designers and sub contractors, creating a strong environment for everyone to thrive in. I can trust them when they give me a timeline and budget - so rare in this industry! They have continually underpromised and over-delivered at every turn - I can't recommend them enough. read more

We recently completed a full home remodel, ADU conversion, and pool construction with DKR Construction. At least once a day, someone in our family takes a look around and says "I love our house." That's a credit to the fantastic work done by Ran, Fernando, Albert, and everyone that works with Ran at DKR Construction. We interviewed several contractors but always came back to Ran. We were impressed by his knowledge, but even more by his honesty, and ability to listen and offer solutions, always focusing on what we wanted to get out of the house. He's incredibly responsive and a person of his word, so if he says something will get done, you know it will. Whenever a problem arose -- as they're bound to with a project of this size -- Ran's focus was on getting to a solution we were happy with. He's incredibly creative, but what we appreciated as much as his suggestions was his willingness to come up with another solution if he knew the first one didn't work for us. It's a wonderful feeling to end the project having even more faith in the contractor than you did when you started. That's the way we feel about Ran and DKR. Ran has a great team in place, from Fernando, the foreman who saw the project through from beginning to end, to Albert, who keeps things moving at the office, to the subcontractors who were all top notch and knew what Ran wanted, making the whole process run more smoothly. When we told our kids we were writing a review, they said to be sure and mention how nice all the guys were. We heard the same thing from our neighbors, who all said Ran, Fernando, Eric, and his team were always polite and very responsive -- if a car needed to be moved or the like, they would drop what they were doing to take care of it. We're so happy with our house now that we can't imagine leaving it, but if we were ever going to do another project like this, Ran would be our first call. read more

We recently completed a 400sq ft garage conversion plus added 100 sq ft of storage space. We are THRILLED with the results! The entire team is amazing -- Ran is so knowledgeable, patient, and excellent at solving the problems that inevitably crop up. Our site manager Jose was extremely responsive, responsible, and client-oriented, and Albert was great to work with on the administrative side, not to mention that all of the workers on the team who came every day and worked really hard to get the project completed in a timely way. The project was started in July and finished by early December -- we had been quoted by most contractors that it would take 6-9 months, and this took around 4.5 months and was done WELL. The team's communication with us was great the entire time. When issues came up, they made sure to discuss it with us and we made a plan together on how to proceed. It turned out that our drafters had made some major mistakes, and Ran and the team had great suggestions for how to address those mistakes and still have something we could be very happy with. We solicited several bids for the contract and met with several contractors. From our first meeting with Ran, we felt very comfortable - he came prepared to discuss the project in detail and to let us know the realities of what would be possible with our budget. We had been warned by everyone who has ever done a home renovation that surprise costs pop up. This did happen a couple of times for things that could not have been known until demo occurred, but Ran made an extraordinary effort to avoid additional costs except for ones that were completely unavoidable. His bid was in the middle of the bids we received, but I have no doubt that the lower bids would have wound up costing more due to not taking enough factors into account. This team is worth every penny. Also, the quality of the work and craftsmanship is excellent. The team is detail-oriented and wants to get it right. They never bristled when we pointed out tiny details that needed addressing, they just fixed it! The project turned out beautifully and I feel so happy every time I walk into the space. I could not be more thrilled with how this project has turned out. I would absolutely encourage anyone looking to do a construction project to reach out to this team. You won't be disappointed! read more

This is our third time working with Ran, this time on a primary bathroom remodel. Him and his team are spectacular. My husband and I bought our home in 2015 and interviewed numerous contractors over the years before our designer introduced us to Ran. We immediately knew Ran was the one we wanted to trust with our home renovation. Three things really resonated with us when choosing to work with Ran:  (1) He was a tremendous communicator, clearly explaining all the phases of the project and what we could expect.  (2) He was easy to talk to and get along with, which was important to us as a home renovation is a months-long process.  (3) But most importantly, we felt he was a man of integrity, and that is obviously critical when you enter these types of relationships.  I am happy to report that Ran and his team's work exceeded our expectations. How often can anyone say that?...especially with something as major as a home renovation. We are so very happy with our new home. The quality of the work was excellent, both in terms of the craftsmanship and the attention to detail. Ran and his amazing foreman, Fernando, were so easy to work with. And that integrity I spoke about earlier? - not once did we feel taken advantage of. And that includes Ran discovering a fairly major structural issue with our house once they started the work, but we believe it was handled fairly, reasonably, and appropriately. Best news: The project finished on time!  We can't recommend Ran, Fernando, and the DKR Team enough. My husband and I joke that we wish we had another home for them to work on. When we buy another SoCal home, DKR will be our first and only call. read more

DKR Construction is best in class. This is the third project that Ran and his team have done for our house in Brentwood, Los Angeles. They are extremely professional and the quality of the work is top notch. For this project, DKR did a complete remodel of our master bathroom, master closet and media room. They also gutted the garage and converted it into a home gym with new floors, lighting and walls. They also designed and installed new gates on the exterior to improve our home security. The team is trustworthy, respectful and we highly recommend their services. read more

DKR took our architects design and brought it to life and they even made it a little better. When we began the search for a contractor our concerns were probably the same as most. Our main concern was that we would hire a face and never see that person again. From the moment we met Ran he was responsive and attentive and his pricing was fair. As our build began, we were very grateful that every crew that arrived on our property were respectful and completed their work beautifully! He even introduced us to an interior designer who helped us pick out paint colors, flooring and appliances. As the process moved forward we hit a couple of bumps, as most projects tend to do, Ran was present and was excellent at providing solutions to issues that we did not anticipate. His attention to detail was impeccable. Our one bedroom ADU looks beautiful and feels so much larger than it actually is. The customer service is top notch, always responsive with any concerns we had. Even after our build was done, we had questions on systems that were installed and he immediately sent a member of his crew to help us out. We are thinking of doing more work to our home in future and we don't feel the need to meet with anyone else if we do. Thank you Ran and crew for helping make our ADU dream a reality! Ran and his team just finished a big project for me and I could not be happier with the results. My family and I used Ran to convert an existing garage/pool house into a one bedroom ADU with a full bath and kitchen. Ran and his team provided everything you'd want from a contractor: reasonable timelines, transparent pricing, and excellent communication. Ran is also very helpful with design ideas and had a great plan to maximize storage space in the kitchen and elsewhere. They estimated six months for the project and finished the whole thing in under five. A member of Ran's team was here working on some aspect of the project every day, including Saturdays. I never had to ask "where is everyone" or "what is progressing." It was obvious that things were moving along. I am thrilled with the finished product. It is well-executed and beautiful. I will definitely use DKR for my next renovation project. read more

Run. Dont walk to have Ran tackle any remodel you are contemplating. We asked several friends if they have had a good experience with a contractor. All answered "meh" and didnt feel comfortable passing on contact information. A co-worker said he had the guy for us. From beginning to end, Ran was involved. If you are not exactly sure of your remodel plans, Ran is a visionary. He helped maximize our floor plan while keeping the look and feel of the space beautiful. All awhile keeping a mindful watch on the budget and work of scope. When decisions did arise where an overage could occur, he laid out all options at different price levels. Ran also brings a team that believes in his business. There was not a revolving door of new workers each day. From painting to electrical to flooring to demo. Guys from each team were respectful and cleaned up everyday. The constant contact with all his project managers (Albert, Fernando and Jose) made the day to day dealings smooth. He also has an amazing interior designer, Stacey. She is a must use. In the end, you know you are pleased and happy with the work completed when you could be 100% certain to refer family, friend or a co-worker DKR construction. And that is exactly how I feel. I did I mention he finished ahead of schedule??!! read more

DKR built our ADU, replaced our house windows, repainted our house and renovated our kitchen! They handled the city permits and worked with us every step of the way. They gave us practical advice on decisions we had to make such as door and window sizes and flooding prevention - and also design decisions such as floor, tile and appliance purchases. They also sat down and talked to us when questions arose or if we had to make a change, and offered us alternatives to consider. We're enjoying our new space! read more

Ran and his team at DKR Construction really saved our ADU renovation. Initially we had started the process with another contractor and after almost a year into the permit and planning process we decided to move on from that contractor before construction started and find someone else. Since we had such a bad first experience with the previous contractor when looking for a new one we really did our due diligence. When we met with Ran we had met with 11 other contractors. Ran was the only one who took us to one of his current construction projects and showed us around. He also introduced us to his client and let us ask them questions privately. This client had had a similar past experience as us and had only great things to say about Ran and his team so we decided to move forward with Ran. Ran, and his team especially Fernando and Alberto really did a great job of staying on time and on budget. We felt that no corners were cut in the construction of our ADU. We also felt that Ran made sure to be transparent and tell us when problems arose and have solution options for us. These problems came up maybe once or twice throughout an almost 10 month process. His subcontractors are all people he trusts and works with regularly so they all feel like a well oiled machine. If you're looking for a trustworthy, transparent, and hardworking team then DKR is who you should hire. We are very happy with the results of our new ADU and look forward to working DKR in the future. read more

We've done many renovation projects and have yet to use a contractor more than once - or have ever recommended a contractor to anyone - until now. DKR (Ran and his team) are consumate professionals, they take pride in their work, are perfectionists, work around challenges that have come up, they are with you during every step of the construction process offering solutions which are always thoughtful yet budget-conscious. Perhaps most distinctively from other GCs, Ran is a man of his word, if anything goes wrong at any point, he is accountable and addresses any issues timely and with zero pushback. DKR came highly recommended from 3 co-workers, and we have not been disppointed and continue to recommend DKR to anyone who wants a project done on-time, on-budget and with folks who really love what they do and take pride in their work. read more

Our experience working with DKR Construction has been fantastic. From the first meeting we had with Ran through our entire ADU project he has listened to us, answered ALL our questions and given us both his personal and professional opinion. He did this with honesty, integrity and professionalism and the finished result is stunning! Fernando is also an awesome part of the DKR team who we have loved working with - nothing was ever too much trouble and he does everything with a genuine smile! Both Ran and Fernando are all about attention to detail with very high standards. They made sure we were happy with every single part of the project - they treated our project as if it were their own home. From the cabinetry, to the tiling, to the beautiful cedar plank siding, the craftsmanship and finish of every last detail was exceptional. It was a true pleasure working with Ran and his whole team at DKR Construction. We worked with another contractor the year before and the difference between them and DKR was night and day. We wish we had used DKR from the start of our home renovation projects! We remodeled an old bathroom and the end result is wonderful, we are extremely pleased. The process was smooth, with clear details and timelines. We didn't feel like we were being jerked around or lied to at all either, which we experienced with the other contractor. We hired Ran a few months ago to fully renovate our kitchen. We had already worked with him on a bathroom renovation last year and had a great experience with him. Ran spent quite a bit of time with us before the project started, talking about ideas of how to make the space exactly what we wanted, and creating 3D renderings to really visualize it. Alongside a designer he has worked with on many projects, he came up with a design to turn our semi-enclosed and dark feeling peninsula kitchen into a big bright kitchen with a beautiful oversized island. We could not be happier with the result, and it looks even better in person than in the renderings. This was a full gut renovation of the kitchen, down to all new electrical and plumbing, and it was very important to us to have someone we knew could handle all of it. He quoted us about 8 weeks and it was done in about six in the end, and everyone who came as a subcontractor was very capable and professional, which was particularly important due to covid precautions. Other than the design and technical skills, what I am always most impressed with is Ran's ability to manage the whole project, both the schedule coordinating so many specialists and also the budget. He is able to foresee potential problems before they happen and sequence everything so that the project can happen on schedule and very close to on budget. We are done with big house projects for a while now, but certainly any needs in the future, he will certainly be our first and only call to make it happen! read more

We used DKR to convert our garage into an ADU, with an addition. Ran and his team were friendly, professional, and happy to offer advice to guide us through the entire process as relatively new homeowners. They were good about keeping us updated with scheduling, billing, what was needed on our end as far as materials, etc (and they were happy to make suggestions when we got overwhelmed). Unlike other contractors we've worked with before, we always felt like we could trust that they had our best interest in mind, and weren't ignoring us or putting our needs on the back burner. The end product is beautiful and it took no time at all to find a renter! I have already recommended them to numerous friends looking to do similar jobs and will continue to do so. read more

We could not be happier about choosing Ran and DKR Construction for our addition and full remodel. Ran spent countless hours with us developing plans that could be executed within our budget and would work for our vision. All of the teams that he has working for him ... demo, framers, plumbers, electric, roofer, tile, paint etc were all very professional, courteous, and passionate about their work. We signed a detailed scope of work contract with him before plans were submitted to the city for approval, and he stuck to that budgeted list for everything. We may have been extremely lucky, but there were no change orders that cost us anything additional. Any extra charges were all initiated by us when we wanted to add something that wasn't covered in the original scope of work. Most impressive was the overall timing of the process. Ran estimated that the work would 4-6 months before we got started, and when everything was finished, we were 4 months and 1 day past the start day. We would enthusiastically recommend Ran and DKR Construction to friends and neighbors. read more

Ran added a stunning master bathroom to our 1900s craftsman home. After working with and meeting several contractors, Ran was a revelation. We started the job right before covid-19 with our first baby on the way and even though we were suddenly living in a different world with new restrictions every day, Ran still met our deadline while taking every precaution to make us feel safe during the pandemic. He and his team are trustworthy and, also, fun to be around. As you can see from the photos, Ran takes a lot of pride in his work. We highly recommend Ran Delouya and DKR Construction. We are very happy that we were able to work with him and would definitely use him again if he's available. Ran is very professional and trustworthy. He gives you a detailed scope of work (with line items of everything he will do) and payment schedule in advance. These documents must require a lot of Ran's time. We have friends that paid their contractor most of the money in advance, and the job was never completed. You can trust Ran Delouya. He is patient and listens to what you need. Ran has been amazing to work with on every front. He has become our friend. Ran is a super hard worker. He works until late hours of the night making sure people are pleased. He's very intelligent. He knows about substantially all areas of construction, from permitting and design to electrical and plumbing. He has a contact for everything, no matter how obscure the construction project. We didn't always use Ran's people, but it was great to know that he had someone on call that could help us in a bind. No home renovation is perfect, and when we certainly had some troubling and stressful situations, When you are with him, he has many people calling and texting him with problems. Even though some of the situations must be troubling and stressful, Ran never loses his cool. He has the perfect temperament for a general contractor. Ran is very responsive. He responds to you, even when it is not convenient for him. This is a huge bonus. And he is always positive. "There are no problems, only solutions" is typical Ran Delouya optimism. Ran is very organized. He prepares a purchase list of materials listing exactly what you need to buy for the project. He also has a super nice designer who has good taste and may be able to help you decide on things. We've had our little problems along the way with the construction. However, none of these problems has changed our belief that we hired the best person. read more

I'm so happy with all the work Ran Delouya and his team did on our remodel. We totally remodeled a kitchen, breakfast room and two bathrooms, updated bedrooms and another bathroom, as well painting and various woodwork. I had interviewed a few contractors, but I knew after the first meeting with Ran that he would be the perfect fit for us. I only knew in general terms what I wanted as I don't have an eye for design. Ran listened to all we had to say, surveyed our house and created a perfect plan. What he designed for our house was more than I could have imagined. He is an amazing designer giving our house not only an updated look but one that has style and beauty. His crews are professional and highly skilled. They went about their work efficiently and made the whole process smooth. Also a shout out to designer Stacey Rifkin from Pretty Put Together who was a saving grace in helping choose color and style. She and Ran work together in getting everything perfectly done. I would give Ran and his team my highest recommendation. read more

Ran and his team remodeled a large portion of our house which included a kitchen and a bathroom. He went up and above the agreed upon contract and when there was a change order he was fair with the additional cost. I would highly recommend him to anyone. read more
