They gave me a reasonable quote and said they could come out to my house in the afternoon (I called at 11 am). They arrived about 3 pm and shoveled my driveway, sidewalk, the path to my front door and removed the snow from around my mailbox. When they say removal, they really mean removal. They took the time to remove the ice that caked up due to the crazy weather, I will put it like this. The usual person who managed my services at S. Johnson supplied a contract for Simonfay services. It gave the rate for mowing my property, which was reasonable and just a little more than S. Johnson charged last year. I agreed to it. Today I was shocked to find a crew on my property - not with a mower but with equipment that looked more like seasonal cleanup. I told them to leave because I only contracted for mowing. When I reported this to Simonfay, I was informed that I was obligated to take ALL their maintenance services to get mowing. They could have apologized for a misunderstanding stemming from the change in ownership, but they did not. They did nothing to earn my business.

I got many quotes but their price was fair and offered more than the compitition. The saying says, "you get what you paid for." I not much of a helper but the treatment I've received from my current landscaper compared to Hickory Tree bares no comparison. In the spring I will switch to them for lawn service as well.
