Came here on the top of some colleagues. Something about cheap drinks. How cheap? Read on. The interior is quite spacious, though I can see this place filling up during game nights at the nearby TD Ameritrade Center. It was nice and quiet when I was there. The waitress was friendly and helpful. We left her a big tip at the end. This place has a ridiculous amount of TV screens. There was a wall with 14 of them. Yes I counted. And that is ONE wall. Drinks here are ridiculously cheap. $3 for a highball, and $5 for a double? Are you serious?? And NO TAX in Nebraska! Some places back home charge more for pop! As I didn't try the food, I can't comment. But this is my new favourite drinking hole in Omaha. read more

THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. TOOK ME 15 min to get a waitress. And the place was nowhere near crowded or busy. When she finally came over for the first time she just asked me what I wanted , didn't greet me, then when I finally ordered food. They just sat the food down. Didn't give me a fork, water or napkins took another 10 minutes until a random waitress walked by, then I'm sitting there still with a plate full of food she ask me if I'm ready to close out?!? So I politely closed out and just left. The whole vibe was off from the beginning. Don't feel welcomed at all. I'll tell all 26k of my coworkers not to bother with this place. They need customer service training. So disappointed!! read more

Great sports bar/hangout! Always has great service and the wings are amazingly great! It seems they are what I always order but you can always expect the they will be piping hot and delicious! Plenty of TVs for sporting events and plenty of room for hosting an event! read more

Nice atmosphere. Decent food. Terrible service. We had a party of eight during a quiet weekday lunch hour. Four of us had ordered three different kinds of wraps. Waitress brought out wraps, said i dont know which is which and put them in the middle of the table like it was our responsibility to figure it out. After we paid (in cash), we noticed one of our guests was charged $18 and the other $13. Both had the same wrap and same drink. When the waitress was questioned why the difference, she simply said oh I must have put someone else's drink in your order and walked off. Didn't offer to correct it or refund the extra $5 cash. Will never go back!! read more

Stopped in tonight for a Happy Hour beer and their Thursday night steak special. Neither disappointed. Steak was cooked perfectly, and the baked potato and salad rounded out a great meal. read more

Food is good for bar food. The waiter, Frankie, was the worst waiter we have ever had in our life. He was rude. Blamed his problems on everyone else. Disappeared. Talked about us to others. Said everyone is too impatient. Said he had a long day. He should probably choose another profession. read more

Where can you get steak And eggs that isn't a breakfast spot at 9 o'clock at night? Our server was very nice she was very attentive to our needs. The chef really outdid himself with the chicken quesadillas which were phenomenal. The portion sizes were a great value for the price of the items. If ever back in Omaha I definitely would visit! read more

So this sports bar currently has 3 stars, that is very generous. Wait staff is RUDE, service completely sucks and I wouldn't serve the food to me dog and he eats everything. Complete waste of a great location but take your appetite elsewhere. I wish I could give no stars. read more

Seems like a decent place to watch sporting events. Fully stocked bar and all your traditional non healthy bar foods for those enjoy fried foods. Good selection for brews. Darwin (Manager), please note: 1) I have been here several times and the food is generally very good. I do enjoy the burgers and the french fries are typically hot and fried in clean oil. 2) Yesterday, I arrive to a packed house for Husker game day. The manager opened up the top level and several more tables became available. Thank you for that. 3) Chicken strip vendor needs to be replaced. These pieces are flat, bland, tasteless. Now, here is the reason this place got 3 stars today: CANDACE. This person either needs to find a personality, better attitude, or a new job. She is ambivalent, slow, impolite, and uncaring. Candace seemed annoyed the entire first half of the game. She never thanked us, never smiled, but constantly portrayed an demeanor that she was being 'put out' by having to serve us and others. We watched her get into an argument with a father at a table with his family. We'll go back but if she is our waitress/server, we will change tables or leave. By the way, your kitchen staff was swamped but still got the food out. But to have someone yell out (loudly), "hey, do you think we could get some runners here" was clearly inappropriate. read more

I'm sure this would be a cool place to come for a game but I came during a conference. Sat at the bar and the bar tender was not very engaging which is fine because I didn't feel like chatting. He was working hard to clean the bar area for his evening shift ! Ordered a special. Grilled cheese and tomato soup... Grilled cheese was what it was. The soup... disgusting!!! Not the bar tenders fault at all but the kitchen could have at least warmed it up. I didn't wanna bother the bartender to heat it up wasn't worth it. I did ask for a bourbon and ginger with a sprite. He gave me a chaser. Not a BIG deal but would have been nice to have a full size sprite as opposed to a chaser. Nothing special. read more

Came here two nights in a row and had two very different experiences. The first night was awesome! My friends and I had appetizers that we loved: the nachos are HUGE and pretty delicious. The pretzel bites are really tasty and the mac and cheese bites are pretty standard but delicious. Beers are pretty big too. Second night.... was bad. We ordered more entrees and none of them were good. One of my friends got a chicken sandwich and the chicken patty was definitely still frozen. He couldn't bite through it. So, overall I would say come here for a beer and apps. read more

Awful. Rude. Slow. Tasteless. Bland. Horrible customer service. And then we sat down for their awful wing day. Please. If you do nothing else with your life DJs...go to community college and attempt to learn how to run a sports bar. read more

We came in on 2:30 on a Friday and the bar was less than a quarter full. We sat ourselves immediately, and our drink orders were taken and delivered quickly. A server appeared, took our orders, and then our good food came out. The wings were excellent. The ranch was some third party pre-package. Definitely not something a place that is proud of its food should have--really strange for Nebraska because of the big wing culture. Sort of surprised by this. They also charge fifty cents for an additional sauce and a dozen wings only come with one--a dozen wings is more than $13 with tax. Not really value for money. Then our server just vanished. No refills. No check ups. We waited long enough so I got up, went to the bar to get a refill, the bartender finished serving the other two patrons, did not acknowledge me, and simply walked away. One of the people who took our initial drinks finally saved the day. Incredibly, even after the server should've known we were feeling neglected, 10 minutes passed between when we finished eating before someone came to see if we needed anything. This food isn't cheap. For what they charge, people deserve good service. I read the reviews, and you won't get it at DJ's. Spend your money somewhere that values customers. read more

I live next door to DJ's so we're here a lot. Knowing they're across the street from a major event space its tough to handle the surge of people for any bar. Luckily, DJ's is big enough to handle a large crowd and the staff does their best to help. Because of these swings of extremely busy to almost dead the consistency of food and service has been hit and miss over the years. For over a year they didn't have Miller Lite on tap! I was told it was a feud between the (former) manager and the Bud Light rep were at odds over something. We've had food come out on both ends of the spectrum so its a crap shoot when we do eat there. This includes nights they aren't slammed with concert crowds The staff is (usually) very friendly and does their best. Depending on the night and the section they can get overwhelmed and you'll need to be patient. read more

We are here from Colorado and went here as a group with our basketball team! The gentleman who was our waiter, Franklin was SO helpful. The large order was definitely stressful, and having to help both kids and adults I'm sure was a nightmare. But he handled it with such grace, patience and understanding! Thanks for having us! read more

Arrived in Omaha last nite for a conference. Checked in to my hotel & found a couple of colleagues having an adult beverage at a nearby sports bar. Hungry & thirsty - I walked 2 blocks & found warmth! Ordering should've given me my 1st clue ... the server couldn't tell me what bourbons they had but was sure there were plenty to choose from; asked for Knob Creek, Woodford Reserve or similar ... was told they have Crown! Then ordered a burger & fries - easy, right?! A patty w/ cheese, a bun & some fried potatoes .... NOT. Upon arrival, the plate was an entree of fries w/ a nice looking burger - but after adding some mustard / ketchup & taking the 1st bite - YUCK!! It was over cooked to well done & had an absolutely disgusting "preserved" or frozen taste!!! This is the Midwest ... home of beef?! Not this place - I've had MUCH better burgers from BK or McD's ... absolute fail!!! After the sever returned 10 mins later - he wanted to "cash us out" so he could leave as he was "trying to get outta there!" No ask on how's the food ... notice tour not eating it ... nada! Please don't waste your time or money here on burgers!! They didn't have any decent bourbon so I ended up getting a beer .... not sure what the rest of the menu tasted like but the table companions that I was with had previously eaten & said nothing was remarkable for them. How do these places stay open?! read more

A lot of tv screens and awesome drink specials. The food is ok at best. They have seating for large groups but their service is absolutely terrible. Classic bar food, fun atmosphere and attentive servers.

Decided to go downtown and check out the Steelers game. What better place to watch and grab something to eat then DJs dugout. Of course I got the boneless barbecue wings and also some loaded tater tot's which are great I must say. I also played a little bit of keno. Oh and of course I can't forget I had to have a cocktail. But we enjoyed ourselves at this location eating and watching the game this place is also a must check out spot. read more

DJ's Dugout is a bastion of giant TVs, sports bar food, served with a smile! The specials make the food downright cheap but I felt like the quality was definitely still there, regardless of price. I was in town for a conference and decided to walk the few blocks to check out DJ's on a recommendation from the new-in-town barista at the doubletree. It was Monday and on Monday, burgers are BOGO (buy one, get one free) *OR* 50% off your burger! While they seem equivalent, they aren't since you could go in alone and eat your emotions without needing a dining companion. I got the buffalo burger which came out with a zippy tangy buffalo sauce and melted bleu cheese crumbles. My coworker got the A1-peppercorn burger and seemed happy with his pick. The fries were hot, drinks were cold and service was good. What else could you ask for? I'd definitely recommend DJ's if you're looking for a sports bar. read more

My husband and I stopped here en route to the airport because my Dad told us it was a good place. There's like, 1,000 tv's in here! Definitely a great place to come to watch any sporting event. We're assuming they had a shortened menu because a hockey game was being played at the Quest Center, and the restaurant was reeeeeally busy. Not a ton to choose from, but our food was great and came quick. It's seat yourself, but our waitress was awesome. Really nice and accommodating, especially after we asked to move to see the tv's better. Didn't give 5 stars because I wish they had some kind of drink menu...with prices...and I kind of thought their prices were a little high. My 6 wings were great, but $10 for them? Good luck finding parking, too. We had to pay $8 to park a block away. *sigh* Big cities. read more

We ate here on Saturday and they weren't very busy. Waitress was rude when we asked for a kids menu and very inattentive, didn't get refills because she never came back to the table. The food was actually good though. So tonight after the game they had hours listed open until 12am. We walked almost 5 blocks to get there and everyone was eating and still bringing food out of the kitchen. It was 11:28. Waitress came up and said sorry, kitchen is closed. read more

I'm not sure what I expected when I came to a sports bar with 3 teenagers the night of the Creighton/Nebraska volleyball game. I definitely expected a better menu. I'm guessing if you are just looking for a place to drink and chill with friends it's great, just don't d percy to eat anything you'll rave about. It's average bar food. The service was SLOW but in their defense they were slammed! The server was really nice and did refill our drinks once. The food took 45 minutes to get and we only ordered 5 appetizers which are typically fast. They did not give us marinara with our mozzarella sticks. And the rest of the condiments were pre packed. Not a lot else to report. read more

A popular downtown restaurant, with ample space and the perfect environment to watch sporting events. Having eaten at this location prior to many Creighton basketball games, one would think they would be equipped to handle larger groups on busy days. Upon returning to watch an away game, I was sadly let down once again. We ordered our food promptly after sitting down, and it arrived almost an hour after waiting. Our food was lukewarm and we were missing two meals. I was disappointed when the waitress showed no concern for the error. I would not recommend Dj's if you are looking for fast service or warm food. read more

If I could give this experience 0 stars I would. We walked in at 11:00 saying we were on a time crunch to get out by 1pm. The waitress who's name was Tristian said "I purposefully did not come back with refills because I know you would be mad I didn't have your food" we waited for an hour and 40 minutes. We spoke to the "manager on staff" she began to cry and then walked away. Tristan deserves to be fired and never work in the service industry again. This place is total garbage. Not the chain, mind you - THIS location is horrible. I've been twice. Each time the crowd was barely there yet service was horrible. I walk in last night because of the wing special....I sit (sign says seat yourself) I wait....after about 10 minutes, I set a 3 minute count-down on my phone.... nothing....I get up, walk out, no fuss. I bolted over to Aksarben expecting the same....I sit.within 45 seconds some cute blonde is asking for my drink order!!! SAVE YOUR RESPONSE TO ME, Darwin (the manager) because you obviously don't "get it". The bad reviews for this location are focused around service.....that falls upon you and a lack of leadership. It just kills me how some entrepreneur works his tail off and opens a nice restaurant - grows it - then places it in a prime location only to have it staffed by vapid, self-absorbed flunkies (most of the staff). Again...the chain is good...great food, great sports atmosphere - THIS LOCATION.....don't waste your time. I wasted mine last evening and will not do so again. read more

went in for a togo order with a group of people and the server just was not kind at all. certain people weren't leaving with the rest of the group so they had asked for things to be separated and labeled so we don't have to open 10 containers of food guessing who has what and they answered with a "probably not" and "everything will be in bags so..." I may be crazy but as someone who was once a server I would NEVER respond that way. ever. this time it was empty so I know they weren't slammed with tables either. food did come out quickly but that can be thanks to the cooks. read more

I have no idea why or how this place is still open. If you want a night of bad food fueled intense self loathing, deep retrospection of life choices, and reconsidering the way a sports bar works, this is the place for you. Be warned, this place will test your patience by messing up your order to a point where it's not an order gone wrong, it's a different order. If you think they'll get it right once pointed out, you're gonna eat your shoe, because this place does not believe in that. The extent of effort that goes in putting a brownie in 4 scoops of ice cream, covering said scoops in chocolate sauce, topped with cherries, is easily achieved by an enthusiastic 5th grader. Not to mention, all of these components are store bought, they don't even make it in house. However, when your order of brownies have no brownies in it, you're unsure if you're on candid camera. I would rather recommend the cheapest food at a gas station, at least you get what you pay for. The staff was unapologetic and on the spectrum for rude behavior. The only saving grace was their manager. To conclude, a visit to DJ's Dugout in downtown Omaha is an exercise in anger management. Keep your therapist on speed dial, get your affairs in order, find a good friend to take care of your dog, before ordering here. read more

Similar sentiment to the location at 114th, but better. The Old Market was definitely in need of something like this, and now I don't have to drive out west to go to a decent sports bar. The food, while typical (burgers, nachos, chicken sandwiches) is good, service is friendly, and the sheer quantity of televisions and projectors is impressive to say the least. The overall feel of the space is good too, with exposed brick and plenty of windows it's definitely fitting for downtown. Just be aware of the parking situation, considering its proximity to the Qwest center, in addition to being downtown, you can imagine there might be some hoofing it associated with a trip here. read more
