After trying to contact the dealer (no response), two independent auto repair shops (no response), I decided to stop at the Pit Stop where I have gone for oil changes for over 10 years. They immediately saw the problem when I pulled in, and I told them that I would pay them whatever they thought was appropriate to just reattach the shield so it wasn't dragging. After about 10 minutes, they emerged from the pit beneath the car and said it was all repaired. When I asked how much I owed them, they said "nothing." I insisted on tipping them for their time and trouble, but I was amazed that a repair for which any of the shops/dealers would have likely charged me over $100 and insisted on an appointment was handled by the Pit Stop crew at no charge with no waiting. I've always had great customer service there, but this went above and beyond. Thank you, Pit Stop crew!! I highly recommend your shop to others.

Worried about being stranded on the highway in the 90+ degree temps, we pulled over in Clare to see if we could figure out what the cause was. We called ahead to several repair businesses in Clare and all were booked out 2 weeks. So, we saw Johnson's Automotive listed in Mt. Pleasant and called them. They said they could fit us right in. Our car made it to their place. Their tech got it right in, found that the lug nuts had not been torque-tightened by a previous dealership after a tire rotation, and he fixed the issue and made sure the other three tires were tightened properly. Had us fixed up in less than 30 minutes. We wanted to pay them, we were so grateful, but they charged us nothing. Everyone there was so kind. We are grateful for their help. We HIGHLY recommend them!

He told us to leave them and would have them done by the end of the day or early the next day. While out on errands that afternoon, we stopped in and the tech assured me it would be done that evening or early in the am as he came in by 8am. I asked if it was reasonable if we would expect them by 9am? He agreed that would be fine. I stepped into the office to ask for pricing and Jeremy quoted me a price and I thanked him and told him we'd see him early in the morning. That's where it went sideways. My husband and son arrived to pick them up thinking they would be done. They were not and Jeremy got pretty rude saying that they were "going to get to them in 20 mins or so." Considering they had not been touched, we decided to take them somewhere else and he became pretty belligerent saying we were harassing him and he had "an entire parking lot full of cars needing to be fixed". There was no need for his attitude. I cannot speak for the level of workmanship as Jeremy's attitude dissuaded us from doing business with this location. Auto repair/mechanic shops are plentiful and in a service industry where the "face of the company" matters as much as the craftsmanship of the job, this location is missing a huge piece of the puzzle. If friendly and HONEST service matters to you, I'd steer clear.

After having to call them near the end of the day for an update (they didn't reach out), they informed me that my vehicle needed a $3,700 repair. I approved the work and waited nearly a week for completion. Upon pickup, the same burning odor persisted in the cab. I had to return the truck and leave it again. Their response? The first expensive repair wasn't actually the problem, and I needed an additional $1,100 worth of work - with no guarantee this would resolve the issue. Needing my vehicle for work, I reluctantly approved this second repair. When my husband went to pick up the truck after this second round of repairs, it wouldn't even start and had engine warning lights on. Their response was dismissive despite the fact I'd just spent nearly $5,000 and my truck still wasn't operational. Their solution was simply that they 'needed to diagnose the problem some more.' At this point, I've paid thousands for incomplete repairs, lost valuable time without my vehicle, and received poor communication throughout the process. I expect a repair facility to properly diagnose issues before charging for unnecessary repairs and to deliver a working vehicle when promised."

I wanted to buy my girlfriend a remote starter for Christmas so she can have a warm car before getting into it. She was always telling me how much she hates the cold and going outside to warm up the car. I called her to tell her what I wanted to do and she said yes. So I called and spoke with Laurie to get information on prices and options. Laurie was very nice, easy to talk to and knows the product and installation very well. She was also very patient with me because I needed to get more information from my girlfriend that she needed to get me the right module. I had to call back twice and Laurie was right there waiting for me! The most important feature of their store was the ability to take a credit card over the phone because I am in Orange County, CA. Laurie said they do gift cards and I would get an email with an invoice number that I can email to my girlfriend. She could then schedule a time that works for her. As I was talking to Laurie making the payment and giving her my info, my GF called back, but I was on the phone with Laurie. I called my GF back and she told me that she changed her mind and didn't want it because she would have to wait for them to install it. I was trying to wrap my head around her thought process, but just couldn't. Oh well. It's her loss... I called Laurie back to tell her the bad news and apologize. Laurie understood my frustration and cancelled my order. She also gave me another option and that was to hold onto it until I can be there with my GF to do it. I said "no" and again, she was understanding and proceeded to refund my money. So because of the levee of satisfaction I have from Laurie, I highly recommend RSounds & Security to everyone! If the customer service is good, I know without a doubt that their quality of products and installation will be the same! Next time I'm in MI, my girlfriend and I will be coming here to get her car a remote starter! Thank you Laurie. Merry Christmas! Semper Fi

First, it was very difficult for me to receive a tracking number after I had purchased my Parts. Employee's informed me they would call me back with updates on the shipping, but I had to reach out half a dozen times to receive any update whatsoever. I was often told that 'The computer was frozen', amongst other excuses, including an employee not knowing how to attach a PDF of my receipt to an email, and me having to guide them through the process. I did not receive any shipping information for over two weeks after I placed the order and payed nearly $1000 to this business. Then, after my item was finally delivered to the drop off point, Michigan Auto Recyclers had made a mistake on the paperwork and the drop off location was unable to properly process the package, delaying the whole experience by 3 or 4 days. Dealing with this business was a huge ordeal and I can not say I would reccomened them. I'm sure some customers have had positive experiences, and they are an honest business that means well, but the level of incompetence was completely unreasonable in this instance. I have no expectations at this point, but from a customer perspective I would hope Michigan Auto Recyclers would be willing to make things right with a partial shipping cost reimbursement for having to spend a considerable amount of unnecessary time and energy to deal with the incompetence of this transaction.
