I really liked that they went upstairs to look at the roof and inspect the leak instead of just suggesting a quick flashing, like some other places mentioned, which would not have fixed the problem. Title: Cheaper estimate turned into an expensive nightmare…read more"Don't be fooled by a lower estimate. What seemed like a good deal for our concrete patio installation ended up costing us an extra $3,000 in repairs and land restoration. The crew left massive 1-foot-deep ruts across our yard that we had to fill and resod ourselves. They damaged our underground sprinkler system despite us clearly marking the head locations beforehand. To make matters worse, the concrete was poured way too wet, resulting in extensive rock pops, and we had to seal the concrete entirely at our own expense. When we reached out during our warranty period to fix these issues, we were repeatedly given empty promises that someone would come out, but no one ever showed up to do the follow-up work. We are now left thousands of dollars out of pocket, still stuck with poor quality joints and sloppy finishing. Save yourself the headache and go with a professional contractor who honors their work."

They completed our house exterior remodel and new garage build on time and on budget, which is a rare accomplishment these days. Dan's team was always on time, respectful of our home, and communicated with us every step of the way. We were particularly impressed with their attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. They not only completed the project to our specifications but also provided valuable suggestions that enhanced the final outcome. We were especially impressed with their ability to handle the several unexpected issues and inconsistencies that came from the local city building department that arose during construction with such competence. Custom Garages & More problem-solving skills and ability to come up with workable solutions made the process stress-free. Our remodeled home and new garage are absolutely stunning, and we will absolutely be recommending them to friends, family, and anyone who asks us for a recommendation.

Joe and his guys absolutely ROCK! We were in the market to have our old and cracked tub replaced…read more We started off by contacting some of the places that are quick to pop up when you start googling search terms like "tub replacement". Quotes were so far out in left field that we thought we were just going to have to deal with the garbage, cracked tub we had or enlist some friends and hopefully pool together enough know-how to do it ourselves. Then, one night while in Menards, we just happened to see Joe's business as one of the recommended installers over by the plumbing/tub area. Boy, are we happy we did! For starters, Joe treats you like family. He listens to you, pays attention to what you can and can't afford and talks to you like a regular person. He communicates with you every step of the way and lets you know if something is changing. In the end, we basically wound up with a whole bathroom remodel for about the same (if not less) than what the other companies were quoting for JUST a tub replacement. Joe only uses the best of the best when he brings people in to your home to perform services. The flexibility and respect won't be soon forgotten. So many contractors out there talk to people as if they're just complete idiots. Joe educates, suggests and works to make you comfortable and confident in what you're doing. I kid you not, I felt like I was dealing with a family member throughout the entirety of the project. And let's not forget speed! Joe knew that we have a small 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house and that we couldn't be without a working bathroom for days on end. He made sure that the amount of time without vital bathroom elements was kept to an absolute minimum. There's a reason why people like Joe have success in business for several decades like he has -- because they take pride in their work and base everything they do on honesty and integrity. For as long as he's in business, he'll be the first call we make when a project at our home crops up.

While they were not the least expensive, I selected them after reviewing the job with Christo, the owner. He was very knowledgeable and was straight forward regarding the extent of possible issues that may be uncover when the shingles are removed from such an older building (1929). Christo has an extensive portfolio of quality materials to choose from and his suggestions really helped steer me towards the best possible outcome. The work began very shortly after the paperwork was completed and even after finding that the original roof had 3 layers of failed shingles in some areas, had extensive wood rot at the decking, fascia and soffit areas, needed replacement roof ventilation and also required additional work to remove an old school TV antenna... the roof was completed beautifully and ahead of schedule! Communication was on-going and professional throughout the entire job. The clean up was meticulous and complete. Gutters and downspouts were installed a few days later and the house really looks great! I can 100% recommend 1st Choice Roofing... and have already passed their contact information on to both family and friends.
