As someone who used to manage my property (from long distance), I knew the pain and efforts involved in dealing with tenants...and honestly..after a few years, I wanted nothing to do with managing a rental from far, far away. I remembered calling and leaving a voicemail message with Southpaw about my desire to find a property management company to help me rent out and manage my unit...and..to my surprise, I got a call the same day back..and all within several hours when I totally wasn't expecting it! Within a few days...I worked with Kyle to sign my rental agreement, provide him information and access to my rental unit...and the unit was already rented out...all within 24 hours of signing my agreement to have Kyle manage my property! Wow..I was impressed! What impressed me more was Kyle's ability to manage rental properties. He took great care of tenants and property owners alike. He's fair..and not just siding with either side. He is not hesitant to tell me as an owner what I needed to do to make sure my tenants are happy (and he's happy to do the same to keep me happy dealing withe thing from repair to HOA as well). I am also very happy to see that...with Southpaw...the need to manage my rental property or handhold anything..is pretty much nil! Kyle took care of everything! And..I just saw..that I recently gave a consent to continue renting out my unit/extend rental offers to my current tenants..and he already had them signed extending for another year of rental at my unit ahead of expiration of an existing lease! That's a testament to Kyle and Southpaw's competencies and proactive approach to management! I love it that..for once..I can really sit back and trust that Southpaw can handle my rental on my behalf! For a long while, I worry about having to sell my unit if the property couldn't be rented out..but with Southpaw...I didn't have to worry about sale of my property anymore..because true passive rental income from this property is now a reality for me!

    We had gone through 3 different property management in the past. They were either not responsive…read moreenough, would have a high turnover of people in charge (so you would know know who to communicate with), never followed with the list of preventative maintenance requests, would do nothing on optimizing rental income, or would be way too expensive (sometimes, all of the above). Hiring Longview Properties lowered by stress, and increased my confidence in being a landlord. They own their own properties, so they understand what's important to both, the landlord, as well as a tenants. They are easy to communicate with, and they know the tenants by name (they are not just another unit number). Most impressive though is that they put themselves in your shoes, and do what you would want to have done - one example, when driving by the property on a weekend, of a fall afternoon, I saw Mike (the owner of Longview Properties) blowing leaves - when I asked him what he was doing, his response was that he would not spend $600 for 30 minutes of landscaping work, regardless of it was his property on mine. It's that level of customer service that it's extremely rare to find anywhere else.

    Worst management company in existence. Workers are incompetent and have an unbelievably low…read morestandard of cleanliness. They are the worst at responding to emails and seem like they have the reading comprehension of a 4 year old. They don't seem to care about mice or cockroaches infesting the building. They also don't seem to care about water damage and mold. Please don't rent any property if they are managing it. It's not worth it.

    Kevin C. Kelliher is the agent representing Lundgren Management at my building. Kevin has been…read morenothing but unprofessional and hostile towards me. Kevin has single-handedly been a source of stress and discomfort, and has sworn at me on the phone, purposefully blocked urgent phone calls, and has now become overtly vindictive--to a point of creating manufactured fraudulent charges. I held back on writing this review as I hoped I wouldn't have to deal with Kevin directly. However, he has now started manufacturing charges for services not rendered from several months prior. Not only is Kevin unprofessional, but he is now committing fraud on behalf of Lundgren Management, and should be investigated by the company as he represents them. Attached is a screenshot of emails where I clarified (with proof from the maintenance person in question) that Lundgren management tried to charge me $170 for "radiator shut off"--services which weren't rendered since (as they also admitted in writing) they sent their maintenance person to another emergency. Instead of apologizing, Kevin Kelliher replied "The maintenance charges were under billed, as there was a significant amount of management, maintenance, cleaning time that was supposed to be assessed to the account. I will have my accounting department review and send an updated ledger reflecting the additional charges." Lundgren management does not perform maintenance or cleaning specifically to apartment, so this is a clear vindictive tactic by Kevin, given his history of verbally swearing at, overtly disrespecting, and demonstrating prejudice towards me.
