Literally no notes. Music was the most important thing to us at our wedding, so the pressure was on and the expectations high. We didn't make it easy for Neeks because we didn't have great decision making on what songs we actually wanted to hear, we just gave him a vibe and expected him to deliver.. and he went above and beyond. It was thoughtful, tasteful, excellently curated and expectations were exceeded. He's extremely flexible and simply has good energy that radiated to the guests. He also has great equipment so no need to worry about quality or any awkward quiet or tech tampering moments. He also has great connections with other vendors to elevate the party. DJ Neekz - DJs Near Me

What could we say? DJ Neekz is the best of the best! We hired Dominic for our wedding at the Hale Koa on 10/6/19 and he didn't disappoint. We met him a while back and were impressed with his work, his friendly demeanor and everything he does to stay relevant in the DJ scene. When it came time to book an MC/DJ for our wedding, we knew Dom was "The one!" LOL Working with Dominic was awesome. In addition to working with us on our song selection and program, he recommended uplighting and a custom monogram to project on the wall in our reception hall. I didn't believe all the bells and whistles would make that big of a difference at first, but when I saw it come to life on our wedding day, it was truly spectacular. Our reception hall look exceptionally classy and elegant and was the perfect backdrop for our party. What's more is that DJ Neekz just got approved at the Hale Koa to use cold sparks - so we had pyrotechnics at our reception! I have to say, this really pushed our reception over the top. ALL of our guests raved about how ours was the best wedding they ever attended. They were so impressed by the cold sparks going off during our grand entrance, first dance and open dancing. It made for fantastic pictures and kept the energy level up high. We also received lots of compliments on our song selection. After giving Dominic a few artists and genres we liked, he totally delivered with a playlist that our co-workers and friends are still complimenting us on! Dominic really listens to your likes/dislikes and has the professional ability to "read your mind" and play the music you love during the best day of your life. He did a great job MC'ing and following the script/keeping the program going. Ours was a day-time wedding and we had a lot to fit in in a short amount of time. He was able to stay on the timeline without making anyone feel rushed or hurried. Everything worked out seamlessly. Dominic is a professional who clearly loves what he does. He goes the extra mile and beyond to ensure your special day will be meaningful. There will be moments that will delight and surprise you and that will stay with you for the rest of your life. Hire DJ Neekz and make those memories! Thank you Dominic for all that you did to make our event truly one of a kind. We're so grateful. read more

DJ Neekz is awesome! He was the DJ for our wedding at the Kahala, and played music during our reception. He kept the energy going all night. Even our shy friends who don't typically dance were out on the dance floor. We got so many compliments on the music he played. He was super nice and great to work with. He even helped us with a cut of our first dance song since we were doing a choreographed dance that was shorter than the full song length. If you need a DJ, I totally recommend Dominic! read more

I love Dom!!!!! He was amazing!!! Best DJ in Oahu I would say. Definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a professional DJ, emcee, and/or special effects! I had the privilege of having Dom for our wedding. He did our ceremony music, cocktail hour, and reception and emcee'd the whole night. Dom was super easy to work with as he was incredibly nice and funny. He made sure that we had enough cold sparks and fog for grand entrance, first dance, and father/daughter dance. He even surprised us by saving some cold sparks when everyone got onto the dance floor after all the reception events were finished. Dom even graciously helped us hook up our projector to the hotel's screen and ensured the audio was all working. He really went above and beyond for us and I couldn't be more grateful. We were definitely lucky to have him for our wedding :) read more

This is a long overdue review, but DJ Neekz provided the BEST vibes for our wedding! We were referred to him through Aloha Bridal Connections (ABC weddings) and my husband and I have not stopped recommending him to our friends since our own wedding day. We met him once before officially hiring him and immediately into the meeting, we knew this was the DJ for the wedding. All we did was provide a genre of music that we wanted for cocktail hour, dinner and open dancing, and he amplified the atmosphere. He was very attentive to our song requests and went above and beyond with songs of his choice. Due to the pandemic, we downsized our original plans into a small celebration with immediate family and close friends. Our close friends LOVE a good time and DJ Neekz understood the assignment with a perfect combination of favorite hits from the 2000's (we're 90's babies) to current local, country and pop hits. I don't think any of our guests sat down once we opened the dance floor. It was such an amazing time. If you are still in search of a DJ, look no further. Highly recommend DJ Neekz! read more

It was wonderful to work with DJ Neekz! He did a great job as an MC and DJ for our wedding reception. In the lead up to the event, he was super responsive and helpful in managing our song list and schedule. He helped organize our monogram, and even edited his service package to adapt to our requests. At the event, he created a great environment, starting in cocktail hour and carrying it through to the end of the reception. He stuck to our playlist, and even added a few songs that we loved, but had forgotten to add ourselves. DJ Neekz is kind and fun, and we would absolutely work with him again in the future. read more

DJ Neekz was friggin awesome. I attended a wedding where he was playing. He had a crazy assortment of toys like the cold sparks, great lighting, can really read a crowd and interact with all the attendee of the wedding. Really got everyone out on the floor dancing. It's so Important to have a great DJ for an event like this. There's many cues and transitions during the ceremony. Technical considerations microphones, placement and timing. He was like a conductor in front of a festive orchestra setting the tone for every situation with different lighting schemes, effects and sound tracks. Beside doing private events I've seen him down town playing at a few different venues. I come NYC during the height of the mega clubs but I haven't seen anyone else energize the crowd on a weekend like him. Highly recommended. Check him out for a private event or just a Saturday night date! read more

DJ Neekz is the best! We had him as our DJ and MC at our wedding at Kualoa Ranch and he did such a wonderful job bringing the energy and getting everyone up and dancing. He was very receptive to the vibe we wanted and tailored his set to the energy of the guests. Very easy to work with, an absolute professional, and our guests had nothing but the best to say about him. All of our guests were up and dancing - the vibes were so good that none of our guests left on the early shuttle. Highly recommend DJ Neekz! read more

Dj Neekz, Dom, was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. We hired him for our wedding at Cafe Julia this past July and there are so many things I'd like to call out. To start, he was entirely respectful of our music tastes and found a way to build on them in the best way. We sent very specific vibes of music for each part of the night (cocktail hour, dinner, reception) and he followed them so well. During the reception the crowd went through a couple different moods of house and hip hop and he took requests like a champ. We'd just tell him the type of vibe and he executed to perfection. Don't sleep on uplighting. If your venue is darker and/or you don't like the house lights at the venue, you want DJ Neekz. The system he comes with is amazing, you can pick whatever colors you want and they can even change and strobe with the music!!! So cool, totally gave our reception a club look. This also allows your venue to come alive in a way you may not have previously thought. We knew we needed this at Cafe Julia, since it's a little darker at night. It felt natural and inviting. Cold sparks. At first, we didn't want these as we thought it might be cheesy but everyone loved them. We used them for our grand entrance and whenever that BEAT DROPPED. It was so fun and he even gave me the remote for them later on in the night (too late probably) which made for some good laughs. Can't wait to see the photos with these going off. Communication was great. He likes to keep everything through his business platform (HoneyBook) but always got back to us from 1-5 days. Always super thorough and answered all our questions. He created an atmosphere where our guests never left the dance floor from the first moment. If you want a PARTY, he's your guy. If you know your guests like to dance and have a good time, he's your guy. Going with DJ Neekz will be one of the best decisions you make for your event. read more

This is a long long overdue review... but we hired DJ Neekz for our wedding in 2016. He was the best! For whatever reason, we were behind in wedding planning and first reached out to Dominic 4 weeks before our event. We really lucked out, he was one of our favorite vendors. He was professional, thorough, and did everything he could to help us with the music & sound to make our day great and reflective of our taste and personalities. Beyond that, our wedding was on a crazy weekend with 2 hurricanes headed to the island. We got married at Kualoa Ranch, and had to change venues the morning of because of rain. Dominic was so helpful and came through with everything we needed (especially a generator to power speakers for our ceremony). If you are hiring, this is who you want! read more

DJ Neekz is awesome! Planning my wedding in HI while living in CA was a bit difficult but Dom helped make it less stressful. Initially, we hired him for reception only but last minute change (2 days before, lol) before the wedding we added ceremony music as well. And he was so nice and flexible about it! He really never gave us grief and was always understanding. We communicated mainly via email and he would always respond within a day or so. On the day of my wedding, everything went off without any issues. Dom and JuJu kept the party lit! It was so much fun and he played all the songs we requested. Thanks Dom for making our wedding day that much more special. Wish I could do this every year. HAHAHA! read more

Dominique was so great to work with! I'm very bad with picking music and wasn't set on what I wanted to do for my wedding day, but he was able to provide recommendations or advice to my questions. He was super accommodating to any requests I had and my guests had nothing but good things to say. Highly recommend Dominique for your wedding day, you won't be disappointed! read more

Dominic (DJ Neekz) was the absolute best wedding DJ. He was extremely professional, very easy to work with, and was willing to work with us on everything from dance song mashups, a custom monogram, and even providing glow sticks that got all of our guests excited and up on the dance floor. We had to plan our wedding from the mainland, but Dominic made himself available by email, phone and text whenever we needed it and he also made the time to meet with us in person before the event once we were finally on island. He is a phenomenal DJ who kept the dance floor rocking all night and the energy all the way up. The dance floor was never even close to empty once the music began. We would highly recommend DJ Neekz for any event! Thanks again Dominic for making our wedding night amazing read more

DJ NEEKZ! Best DJ in all the (is)lands! We were fortunate to have his services for our wedding in 9/2018. We originally tried to go with DJ Toshi, but he didn't respond until a month later. I'm so glad he didn't respond because then we wouldn't have had DJ NEEKZ! Don was very quick to respond. DJ Neekz must be a mind reader because he literally played all our favorite cuts. When the wedding party did their speeches, he did a great job gauging what songs would best suit them. The guests barely ate because everybody was busy getting down on the dance floor! Thank you, DJ Neekz, for the memorable experience. You helped elevate our wedding to next level awesomeness. Highly recommended!!!! read more

One word that describes DJ Neekz...AWESOME !!!! My name is Peter and my wife and I got recently married in Paradise Cove. I found out about DJ Neekz (Dom) through a friend. I must say from the bottom of my heart that I made a good friend and he was definitely WORTH it!! Don is a professional and accommodating DJ. He is well organized with planning and song selections. Coming from the Bay Area I needed some Bay Area hip hop on the mix . When I needed certain songs on the play list he came through. He is NOT limited to just hip hop but also to a wide variety of music. His worth ethic is expressed through his punctuality and work on the job. Dom always responded on time with emails and texts. Overall I highly recommend him! Don is respectful and definitely shows great ALoha spirit. thanks again Brotha -Peter read more

What can I say, DJ Neekz is the best! I was recommended to him by a former patient, and I'm so glad I took her advice. We met with him prior to deciding on a DJ for our wedding and were able to not only discuss our music tastes, but get a feel of Dominic's personality as well. We discussed pricing with him and even got curtain draping through him. He also recommended our photo booth vendor too! Our wedding was DJ'd and Emcee'd by Dominic. Everything flowed so well and everyone was dancing! I couldn't have had a better experience with any other DJ but him. Thank you so much for everything! read more

DJ Neekz is great! Booked him for our wedding in 2019 at FS Oahu. He went above and beyond the call of duty as a DJ and helped us plan our wedding music for all the key moments including rocking a great party. DJ Neekz did a great job at our wedding at the Moana Surfrider on October 5th, 2017. He was sure to include all of our song requests as well as announcing our wedding party and toasts. When I was planning my wedding, one of the first things I did was cross DJ of the list of things to do. I would already be using Dom...check! I've been to many weddings and I know having a good dj is very important. Everything Dom did was great. The timing of everything from our entrance to cake cutting to first dance. Perfect! I had many compliments from my wedding and having a great dj was among those compliments. He also provided the uplighting for my wedding and it really transformed the room. I needed a dj for my company party. Again I called Dom and it was awesome again. He was really accommodating and gave us a great price. Overall, he is very well priced and is every bit worth it. My daughter is having her first bday this weekend and Dom will be playing there for me again. read more

DJ Neekz is by far the best DJ on the Island! He first DJ'd our high school reunion and not only was his mixing and DJing was amazing but his lighting system turned the simple bar we were into an incredible dance club! I got his business card later that night and he was super easy to work with, responding quickly to answer our questions and going above and beyond the call. Not only is he an incredible DJ, but his uplighting made our wedding so beautiful! My wife and I were seriously blown away when we saw his uplighting choreographed to the music! Above all, he is so easy going and well organized which definitely took the stress off us. He also is VERY well connected with Photobooth and Emcee connections that made our special day even more incredible! I would HIGHLY recommend DJ Neekz for any party, wedding or event! read more

Dominic was absolutely amazing at my wedding this past September! He is definitely the BEST DJ on the island! I really appreciated how well he read the crowd when deciding which songs to play when. He listened to our requests on the type of music we wanted to hear and made sure to play our favorites. It was great being able to party when it was time to party but Dom really felt out the crowd and when we were mellowing out a bit he didn't try and play crazy dance songs. Instead he would switch to a couple super chill songs and then when people were ready to get back out there he would hype it up again. Behind the scenes Dom was super professional and helpful. I asked if he knew anyone who played the acoustic guitar and he gave me the number for one of his friends he had worked with before. He was able to coordinate with the guitar player and they were able to share equipment which saved me both stress and money! I didn't have to do anything to get them on the same page, we just showed up and they were there! I highly recommend booking DJ Neekz for your wedding or special event! He definitely doesn't disappoint. Thank you so much Dominic! I got so many compliments from my guests on the music played. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and so did we! read more

We hired DJ Neekz for our wedding in August at Waialae Country Club. My husband and I live on the mainland and did most of out communication through e-mail. Dominic was so great with responding promptly and answering all questions we had. He sent us a song list that we filled out before hand so we were on the same page with all the songs for the ceremony, cake cutting, etc. There were some things that we left up to him to decide and he did a fabulous job picking them out. We decided to add uplighting last minute. I was nervous about it because I wasn't sure how it would look. Dominic took the time to set up the uplighting and take pictures of all the different colors we were thinking about and send us the picture which put us at ease. I was impressed that he went out of his way to do that. The uplighting was a great choice as it added a lot to the rooms ambiance. The day of the wedding my coordinator took care of all the vendors setting up and making sure everything went as planned. She said that DJ Neekz was so profresional and easy to work with. He emceed our wedding and did a wonderful job! All of our guests raved about how he was such a good emcee and DJ. Some guests even thought he was a friend of ours :) Dominic did a great job balancing out the music for all our guests and the different generations that attended out wedding. Dominic was great to work with! He also has the best prices around. I hired him for reception music, uplighting, use of his projector, and a monogram. When I walked into the ballroom for the first time, I was blown away with how the uplights transformed the place. Dominic was able to have the glass ballroom at the Koolau ballrooms beautifully lit with just the right amount of purple uplighting. It didn't overwhelm the place and everyone was able to appreciate the natural beauty from the koolau range that surrounded he venue. Dominic was also able to provide the sound system for my singer and musician during the ceremony and dinner. He was also able to provide lavalier microphones for my husband and the Reverend during the ceremony. When it came time for the reception, he was able to have a large crowd fill the dance floor and catered to the diverse crowd. I was worried that I would t have anyone dancing. I actually had the opposite problem where my guests asked to keep playing music so they could keep dancing! Thanks to the help of DJ Neekz, I had one of the most memorable nights of my life. read more

I've dealt with a handful of DJ's and I honestly have to say Dom has been the best by far! I was referred to him by a coworker. I am so glad that she recommended DJ Neekz for our annual awards banquet party. Dom was very easy to work with and accommodated all of my needs. He knew the right music to play for my presentation and played fun songs throughout the night to keep our employees entertained! If it weren't for Dom, I don't think our ballroom wouldn't have looked as nice as it did with all of his uplighting. I asked Dom to create a monogram for our theme which was Celebrity Casino night. DJ Neekz made our wedding a blast! You can tell he loves what he does and really cares about making people happy because he went over and beyond for us, setting up full room uplighting, special heart lighting, and dancing in the clouds effect in addition to helping MC our games and playing songs. He made sure everyone was having fun on the dance floor and read the crowd well. He did an amazing job mashing up our song requests for our first dance medley and took the stress off of wedding planning by always responding quickly to any requests and questions. When we met with him the week before the wedding, he even offered to take care of playing our slideshow from his laptop so that we wouldn't have to worry about any technical issues and was accommodating adding in a last minute request to end the party with an Okinawan song. Our wedding was a mix of cultures with Japanese interpretation, and DJ Neekz worked in sync with our day-of coordinator/interpreter to make sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. We initially weren't planning to even have a DJ because of our tight budget but we are so glad that we decided to go with DJ Neekz. The uplighting really does make a difference in brightening the atmosphere, and we highly recommend! Our guests kept complimenting us on the lighting and music, and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Would definitely recommend DJ Neekz for any party. We were referred to DJ Neekz (Dominic), along with a few others, by our photographer/wedding coordinator. I sent the recommendations, an email inquiring about services/availability however; DJ Neekz was the most professional & prompt with contacting me back. We set up an appointment to meet up & my husband & I were very impressed with how thorough, professional & down to earth DJ Neekz was. We had no prior experience with working/hiring a DJ so he was very patient with us and addressed/answered all of our concerns/questions. When selecting our "first dance" song, my husband & I weren't sure if DJ Neekz would be able to play the song we were interested in since it was a different version of the original. I sent him an email inquiring whether that song choice would be possible to play & again, he was very prompt & responded quickly. He was able to accommodate us & assured us that he would be able to play the song we wanted :) A few weeks prior to our wedding, DJ Neekz followed up with us to set up another meeting to go over everything one last time before our big day. At our meeting, we gave him some of our song choices & what type of music we wanted/didn't want to hear. He was very reassuring that we were in good hands & our expectations would be met. On August 20, my husband & I got married at The Willows Hawaii. DJ Neekz arrived early to set up his equipment & dressed very professionally. He played all the songs we wanted at both our ceremony & reception. He was so easy to work with & exceeded our expectations. He provided us with amazing service & music. We would definitely recommend DJ Neekz! Thanks again Dominic for all your help, amazing work & awesome service. You really helped us make our wedding a very special & memorable one. read more

We definitely got lucky that we were referred to DJ Neekz! We were planning a destination wedding in Hawaii from Los Angeles so we had to do a lot of planning and research to do. We met with some other DJ's and it seemed like they were charging us A La Carte for every single little thing, and on top of that we weren't sure if they were in touch with the music we liked. We met with DJ Neekz and we were very impressed by what he had to offer. Not only is he the most competitive from a price standpoint, but he does so much more than just DJ. He Emceed our wedding (very well i might add) and he provided a lot of lighting as well. During the whole process he was very quick to respond to any emails or calls, and he took care of all of our concerns. DJ Neekz - DJs Near Me

After attending countless weddings in the last year, I can say without a doubt that DJ Neekz is QUALITY! His equipment is up to date, he corresponds well in emails, calls, texts, and truly has a strong knowledge base when it comes to keeping a party going. He had great recommendations for us when planning our own wedding. He took song requests from us ahead of time and extrapolated that out to give us songs that we LOVED hearing throughout the night! A few things we really appreciated about DJ Neekz (Dominic/Dom) is his attentiveness, adaptability, and ability to feel the crowd. The dance songs are never going to be 100% on point, but this DJ got close. What impressed us was Dom's quick reflex to move to the next song when he could tell that we needed a song change. And going back to attentiveness, we didn't need to make big hand gestures to catch his attention. We knew he was constantly checking in on us and making sure that we were happy with his selections because we could see that he was watching our facial expressions/body language for feedback. Additionally, we have seen Dom (and emcee Kuldip) in action at another successful event where he played entirely different songs. This says so much about him as a professional; he isn't the type of DJ that will only play what he thinks is good, he adapts and plays what his audience thinks is good. Which is why he killed it with the 90's music toward the end of the night. Our guests were loving it! To sum things up, and in my opinion, you need a DJ that gets you, understands your vision, and is able to execute that vision. For us, DJ Neekz was it! read more
