We couldn't have picked a better DJ and MC for our wedding. He is very organized and knows how to keep track of all the timeline details. We provided a list of songs we liked and roughly the order of genres to accommodate the older crowd who would likely leave early and want to hear the more foreign/older songs early on. We requested all kinds of stuff: Jewish Horah songs, Bulgarian music, Spanish, 90's dance, popular songs, etc...Joe knows how to read the crowd so well!! Everyone loved him. It was a fantastic wedding thanks to him. We danced the night away! read more

DJ Joe is the BEST! We had the pleasure of having him DJ my sisters graduation party on Saturday, September 1, at The Reef restaurant in Long Beach. I can't even begin to describe the level of professionalism he has. He kept the line of communication open (which is very important to me). Not once did I ever hesitate to contact him in regards to questions or concerns that we had. He very open with our suggestions for the music playlist. Our guests were so impressed with him. They all wanted to know how I found him and all raved about him. My sister and her guests absolutely loved the songs he played. He played some mash-up's which we all loved. DJ Joe was so easy to work with. He arrived early to set up and even offered to help us finish setting up when he saw that we were getting a little frantic. For your entertainment needs, don't hesitate to hire him. He is an awesome DJ! read more

He was easy to communicate with and always made sure every detail was covered. His emcee skills are also way above par and definitely knew how to keep the party going. To this day, people are still telling me how awesome the playlist was at our wedding. Okay don't judge me, but I'm like, nine months late on this. Where do I even begin!! DJ Mojoe is literally the best in the business. One phone call with him and I was already relieved about the wedding (which as a bride is hard to do)! He's incredibly understanding and friendly, while also being a professional at everything he does. He had us fill out a very detailed questionnaire so he'd meet every single expectation that we had, and he FAR succeeded it. At the wedding, he was constantly analyzing the crowd and ensuring he made as many people as happy and dancing as he could possibly do at any given moment. It was almost mesmerizing how he'd read people's minds?? I'm convinced he has superpowers. He was more than perfect for our wedding and I'd recommend him ALL DAY LONG. If you're looking through reviews thinking about maybe giving him a call, do it right now or I'll do it for you (but please do it because I am busy as a married woman). Getting a good DJ sets the tone for the ENTIRE reception, and they're hard to find. please take my word for it and set up a meeting with him, because 5 minutes in you'll be convinced. read more

DJ MOJOE was our Dj/MC for our wedding for July 2019 and absolutely killed it. We appreciated how thorough he was during the planning process, gave us the insight we needed to better our wedding experience, and hit every note the night of. People raved about his performance and professionalism. He's great at reading energy in a crowd and is also a great person. I HIGHLY recommend hiring him for any event! read more

Our recent holiday party was a big hit and it's a huge thanks to DJ MOJOE! This was our third holiday party for our startup company, and the first time we decided to have a DJ and a dance floor. At first we were hesitant about even doing so because we weren't sure if people would get up and dance... (we have a few shy people at work) well sure enough, Joe got people to dance. Such a blast dancing and singing along. We started off with email communication, and it was so easy to keep in contact and gather quotes for the event. His website is easy to use, and I loved seeing the events he previously hosted. It was nice to also be able to include special notes, or song requests as well to his webpage. Joe was early to set up his equipments, lights, sound, mic, etc. and professional throughout the night. A wonderful highlight was when he included sound effects on the fly, since we didn't get a chance to include everything on the itinerary. We did a few raffles and he included sound effects like from game shows, and it went so well and was hilarious! As well as the songs that were fitting for each presenter/spokes person. The transition from when he MC'd, to the flow of music, to the vibe of everything was on point. Everyone at work kept talking about how great he was and how much of a fun time they had. From start to finish, I highly recommend Joe. Thank you sooooo much for such a fun memorable time! Definitely will book again. read more

Our special day was already special but Joe kicked it up many notches at our reception. He showed up on time and set up his gear without any problem. Not only does he play amazing music (even took requests from us for every part of the reception: first dance, father/bride dance, mother/son dance, etc.) but he is also a great MC. He was very engaging yet personable with the guests and created the perfect environment for everyone. There was never a dull moment with Joe and he kept things flowing in a smooth and natural way. Joe played music until the very end of the night and was kind enough to offer us help even after all the guests left. Joe is the perfect DJ for any event and I highly recommend him. Thanks again Joe for your help, service and your highest level of professionalism and excellence! read more

I came into contact with DJ MoJoe when meeting with a different vendor from the list of vendors provided by my venue. Although I did not use the initial vendor I was meeting with for our event, I was very interested in DJ MoJoe's services. He was very polite and kind making us feel confident in his ability to work our event successfully. His online planning tools made the whole process ridiculously easy which was what I needed considering I was planning our wedding alone. DJ MoJoe was an excellent DJ, he really made our event! read more

Joe did a great job with our wedding. Joe was professional, courteous, and easy to work with. DJ MoJoe was absolutely amazing at my wedding!!!! His interactive website allowed us to choose our songs in advance for every part of our wedding, from cocktail hour and dinner, to the wedding party introductions, to the first dance, mother son and father daughter dance, reception, cake cutting, garter toss, etc. etc. He did a great job introducing the wedding party, announcing when the photo booth opened, etc. He was truly amazing and the nicest guy!!! And not to mention, his prices are extremely reasonable for a southern California DJ. I highly recommend! You will not be disappointed! Thank you DJ MoJoe for making this part of my wedding so easy and fun! The dance floor was packed the entire night! read more

I definitely recommend Joe as a DJ for any event. I luckily was able to have him at my wedding on 5/14/16 in calamigos and he was wonderful. His online website that he gives you to specify your music taste and details was very useful and helpful, he did exactly what I expected and wanted for my wedding. He is very professional and eager to help out. I last minute asked him to bring projector and screen for my picture slideshow and he got the job done without hesitation. Mark and I are very happy we chose him. My MOH who has lot of experiences with clubs and DJs came with me to meet Joe for the initial meetup- she had a great first impression and told me his prices are very reasonable and honest. He is very responsive on email and phone/text if needed. I never had an issue with this aspect/planning of the wedding. During the wedding, the timing of his EMCEE was perfect. My guests loved the music choices he picked and had a lovely time!! I'm so glad I was referred to him. I definitely recommend him to family and friends and would chose him again if I ever needed his services again! =) read more

DJ Mojoe was great for my daughter's sweet 16. He was so great with setting up an agenda and playlist with us online so that we were always involved in the planning process and we were all kept up to speed in real time. He also was great at suggesting some great games to play during dinnertime to keep things interesting. He kept things lively and created great energy so that my guests always felt involved and my daughter and her court could feel special. He really knows how to set a mood. He also was able to deal with me since I was all over the place that day and reassured me of time schedules and that things were running smooth. This was a sweet 16 so I had a lot of teens attending who were always on the dance floor, but he also was great at keeping our adults entertained and dancing as well. He even dressed up to the theme! His office is not close to me, so being able to FaceTime worked out great. The DJ is who sets the mood at your party, so picking a great DJ is super important. DJ Mojoe is definitively a dj that can make your party awesome. Thank you DJ Mojoe for making my daughter's day so special! read more

The best bar none! Music selection + emcee performance is top caliber. Referred by friends, my daughters chose DJMJ for their weddings. DJMoJoe has an incredible personality, very professional, well-dressed, positive, fun and proactive. The guy is a star in our eyes. Excellence in action. Over delivers and undercharges. Blew us all away! Had great feedback from guests and the driving force of the reception. He plans well and intelligent. Seasoned veteran and well prepared. Multi-genre music, original mixes and amazing DJ technique. He planned with my daughters ahead of time, customized music and emcee'd to their needs even arriving really early. He made sure names were pronounced correctly and added personal touches. It's rare to find a DJ who knows music so well and has commanding emcee skills. No obnoxious DJ voice and limited music selection. The best part is he brought Earth Wind and Fire (my fav) and dedicated it to me. Meant a lot. DJMJ is priceless and an assured success to any event. Gem of a person and professional DJ. Thank you DJMoJoe. You made a father proud. You're a permanent part of our awesome memories and family now. See you at the next one. 10 Stars!!!! read more

DJ MoJoe was the absolute best DJ we could possibly dream of having for our wedding. From the first meeting with him, my husband and I could tell that Joe has a vivacious, passionate energy and a warm, friendly personality. We decided to have him as our DJ right away and it was one of our best decisions in our whole wedding planning process. Joe is extremely organized, flexible, encouraging, friendly, and an incredible DJ. He made us completely comfortable from the very beginning, and we felt that he very much understood our style and music taste. And we were right! All of the music DJ MoJoe played on our big day was exactly our style and he organized everything wonderfully with amazing transitions and tone-setting songs. He is very passionate and also detail-oriented, and worked with us carefully to get the timing right for everything. He had so many fun ideas to get our audience having fun and participating during the reception. He got everyone dancing! Our dance floor was PACKED. Many of our friends at our wedding complimented the music selection and told us our DJ is awesome. DJ MoJoe was AMAZING and it was truly an honor to have him as our DJ/MC! Joe is a close family friend...and you know what they say...never ask family or friends to do your wedding. Grace and I could not be any happier! We know how important the music can be and he did not disappoint! He took time out of his busy schedule to meet us on numerous occasions to plan the perfect music list. Joe even created TWO mixes for our first dance and mother/son dance. I knew his music taste and his DJ skills were excellent before we hired him, but what really was a blew us away was his MC skills. All of our guests were raving how fun and entertaining the DJ performed at the wedding. His idea of the centerpiece game and the bride/groom shoe game were a hit! Overall, we can't thank DJ MoJoe enough for his energy, professionalism, and his drive to ensure a successful and entertaining wedding! We love you DJ MoJoe!!! read more

We would like to recommend DJ MoJoe to anyone and everyone. DJ MoJoe is truly a professional. He goes above and beyond to make your day special. My wife and I were looking for a DJ for our wedding in March and was referred to DJ MoJoe through a mutual friend of ours. We are sure glad that he was able to work with us. His attention to detail is and was greatly appreciated. We were able to sit down with him face to face for our first meeting and let him know what we were looking for. From then on, we were able to ask questions and keep in contact with him throughout the process and he would get back to us right away. He set us up on our own website so that we would be able to put in songs that we wanted for certain parts of the ceremony and reception. We were able to have a conference call with him a week before the wedding so that we could discuss everything that we were thinking and that he would recommend for certain parts; things that maybe we hadn't quite thought of yet. The day before the wedding, he was able to come to the rehearsal and talk to the location manager and pastor to set and discuss what his thoughts and what others thoughts were so that everyone was on the same page. The day of the wedding went flawless. We had given him a time schedule of when we would like things announced and presented throughout the day/evening. He even made sure that he communicated with the photographers on every upcoming time so that they would be able to capture the moments. We talked to several of our guests in the later weeks and they had nothing but rave reviews of this awesome guy. DJ MoJoe- thank you for much for all that you did to help make our Wedding day so wonderful. read more

Highly recommended!! Easy to book once we reached out to him. He responded immediately. Afterwards, you can use his interactive website which made it extremely easy for us to let him know which songs we wanted, how our ceremony was going to go, when and where he was to come in and the overall step-by-step of how we imagined our wedding would go with a DJ. Also, he was willing to put in the extra effort to meet with us in person at least a week before the event to finalize everything and make sure we had everything we needed and wanted to happen on our special day. He was on time to the event, as he said he would be and he was easy to work with, very flexible when it came to adjusting to our venue space. He had all of his equipment ready and we had no need to worry at all. He was an awesome MC, very sensitive to the crowd and atmosphere throughout the event. He made sure the playlist was exactly on point, like we wanted it to be. The volume throughout was just right, not too loud that we couldn't hear each other talk, but not too low that we couldn't hear the music. It was better than what we though it would be. The end result of booking with DJ MoJoe is having an event that flows smoothly and goes exactly the way you pictured it would go and maybe even better than you expected. He is one of the best in the business when it comes to DJs! 10 out of 10! Cheers! read more

DJ MoJoe was amazing! He did our wedding in April 2016 and everyone loved him. He met with us before we hired him and answered all our questions, at once we recognized his professionalism and easy going attitude, on the day of he showed up early, set up and brought all the equipment and even threw in complimentary uplights, coordinated with the vendors and wedding coordinator to make everything happen so seamlessly. He had really good timing and felt the crowd and knew how to get the party started and going all night! And he did it all for about 70% of the cost of other DJs I spoke to. read more
