We chose In the Mix to do our lighting/draping and our photobooth. The lighting and draping that they did in the Moorpark Country Club ballroom was so pretty. Additionally, they provided uplighting in our choice of color (blush), which really helped to elevate the room. Behind the sweetheart table, we set up draping with fairy lights and it was so beautiful. The photobooth was a huge hit! We worked with Sarah to choose the backdrop color/texture, and to design the photo strip. Our initial call was with Tim, and he was super knowledgeable and able to provide a lot of options and suggestions for how we could decorate inside the ballroom. Both Tim and Sarah were friendly, professional and easy to work with. On the day of, they were prompt in showing up for set-up, and we had no issues with the photobooth all night. The photobooth staff helped to keep the line moving, helped to set up the camera for different group sizes, and helped to organize our photo guestbook as best they could. He did the pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception dancing music, and it was a huge hit! The Dancefloor was packed the entire night. Recently had In the Mix for our wedding at the Museum of Ventura County on August 20th I first met Tim at the bridal show in Westlake. He was the most professional and friendly one there. We were sold right away on that and also the pop up photo booth! My husband and I met with Tim and he has a great light display in the office. He walked us through everything and we definitely made he right choice. For the event, I chose to get the up lighting and I wish I would have been able to have more because the lights were beautiful! Kevin was our MC and he did a great job. He was in good communication with me about the upcoming events and staying on time or pushing some things back. I feel like everything flowed really well with plenty of time to dance and party! The photo booth staff was great as well...deleting some pictures I deemed I wasn't ready for or were weird haha so I wouldn't have to have them lingering around or regretting later lol she stayed later to finish the guest book and made sure I had the flash drive! Thanks! I didn't get the chance to meet the DJ himself but I got tons of good feedback from my guests about the music! They played everything I had asked for and kept the party going! One guest danced so much that his entire shirt was soaked! He said, "I wanted to take a break when a so-so song came on but one never did! The next was always better than the last!" In the Mix Events did my wedding In May 2012. Tim Knapton and his wife Monica were a pleasure to work with from the moment my fiancee' and I had our first meeting with them. I have been to many weddings and events. The difference with In the Mix is that they are more than just an musical entertainment service. They are also part wedding coordinator. They used their years of extensive knowledge in the industry to suggest a day-of timeline that I would not otherwise have thought of. It made things run very smoothly the day of so that my fiance' and I could have a worry free ceremony and reception. Our ceremony was outside and was Star Wars themed. Not only did Tim help me locate the perfect songs but the transitions between songs were flawless! After the reception everything moved quickly into the reception. There was no noticeable downtime for moving the stuff from outside to inside. The photo booth was a HUGE hit! I highly recommend getting the additional book for any bride and groom. Because we were so busy greeting our guests, we did not get to see the fun happening in front of the booth camera. Getting the book with all the photos on it, helped us be apart of all that fun and gave a lasting set of memories of our wedding. Brian was our DJ for the night, and he did an excellent job of keeping the party going (there is nothing worse than being at a party where no one is feeling the music). Brian and Tim were super helpful when we called and talked through our timeline, they were accommodating with our friend who played our first dance song for us and when my dad and I wanted a non-tradtional father-daughter dance, and in general Brian was very low key and enjoyable to work with. The little bit of rain/sprinkles we had that night threatened to cause some troubles but Brian rolled with it and all ended well. In The Mix Events has Photo Booths!! Most recently we rented a photo booth for our Daughter's 1st birthday party. Monica was the attendant for this event and she was nothing short of spectacular! The booth was large and fit as many people as we wanted. Monica helped guests pick out fun props, added photos into our keepsake photo book, and helped make the day special!
