This review is loooong overdue...Mike and his team DJ'ed our wedding reception back in October 2018 and he exceeded all of our expectations. He is extremely professional and exudes good vibes all around! My mom, my now husband, and I KNEW we wanted him to DJ our wedding immediately after our first meeting. To begin, he came to the venue (backyard reception at my mom's home) months prior to the event and helped my mom figure out details like where the bar & bartender would be, where our grand entrance would be, whether she should get square or rectangle tables, where the food (buffet) was going to be served, where the dance floor was, etc. He essentially acted as a wedding coordinator as well as a DJ. Before the event we had a few conference calls with Mike to ensure we were all on the same page. I really really appreciated this because I'm a huge planner and I like to know exactly what's going on at all times. I didn't really have any worries at any point during the planning process because I just knew Mike would come through. He is truly amazing at what he does. The day of our reception, Michael kept the party going and just as I expected, everything went exactly as planned. The music, the lighting (he had some beautiful color changing lights that he scattered throughout the venue which came on at night, truly gorgeous), the energy, it was all just perfect. WOW! Is all I have to say about Michael and this company. I inquired about a quote for a Dee Jay for my birthday party and sent a request through their site. Shortly after, Michael called me and we talked about my party and what I was looking for. I saw on the site, they also offer Photobooths so I asked if it was possible to make a slight change to the photobooth and personalize it a bit for my party and sure enough, they were able to accommodate! I booked a DeeJay and Photobooth package. I got directed to their client login site (awesome) and I was able to include music, change and edit the timeline and add special requests of music. That client site made it so easy to plan my party the way I wanted it to be. DJ Cali was my DJ, she showed up looking gorgeous for my fancy birthday and she was ready to hype up the party as needed. All the music I had asked for were played and during our special dance...the Dancing on Clouds added such an emotional touch to our heartfelt song. It was BEYOND BEAUTIFUL! Professional, Communicative, Efficient and Wonderful would be the best words to describe what you are paying for when You decide to book them for an event. I cannot say enough about this company. Their communication was exceptional. We were hosting an end of the year formal for our Catholic center and it was perfect. The photo booth design with custom logo was perfection. Andy was the best DJ and even met with my team of students to coordinate music choices which were eclectic to say the least. In response to Michael's reply on 11/14/2022: Michael, I may have registered for the bridal expo event a year prior, but I do not keep tabs of every single vendor that I've only spoken to or those who have reached out for a short time prior to attending the event. Mind you, it might have only been around 1-2 emails/text messages. These were not full on discussions or conversations. There was no way for me to remember your company on the spot during the bridal expo and what your pricing may have been. Your booth was in the sea of other vendors, I honestly don't understand how you expect all your customers to remember such details during a busy event like that. It's a ridiculous expectation to have from people. Everyone else on your team was great and nice on that day, but you, the owner, was the only one with the bad attitude. My question was misunderstood and in a quick second, your attitude towards a future customer changed so fast. All you could have said was "Sorry, I think you may have misunderstood, this is already the discounted price." Even as I am reading your response to my initial review, I am shocked at some of the things you are saying. "We will keep an eye out on your Yelp profile"? Creepy. Yikes, what an inappropriate thing to say. To those who are reading these reviews, take a look at Michael's response. Stop! Your DJ search is over. Oh where to begin.. Mike is beyond amazing. From the moment I contacted him, he was prompt, professional, and answered all of my questions with an upbeat positive attitude. I had my daughter's 21st Bday party/Pirate themed costume event planned months and months AND MONTHS in advance with Special Event DJZ. I had been in communication several times with everything ready to go. Then without warning, my family was struck with the devastating news of my Mother-in-law's cancer diagnosis. The week of the party, she was given less than a month to live. Right away I informed Mike of our horrible situation. I was a wreck. Everything had pretty much been paid for, guests RSVP'd and I didn't know what to do, except the obvious which was to cancel the party. Mike was so incredibly compassionate, understanding and genuinely caring. He told me not to worry and that we would come up with a plan B. He went above and beyond even sending my family and I condolences after the passing of my Mother-in-law. He assured me that when we were ready to have our event, that he and his team would be there for us when the time came. His exact words were, "You've had this planned for so long, we're practically family now." :) Knowing that put my mind at such ease. Fast forward 4 and 1/2 months later, the party turned into a Celebration of Life event and of course Mike came through with flying colors. Cannot express how grateful and satisfied I am with this company. My only regret was that he was unable to attend the party himself. Would have loved to have met him. She came in as our day-of coordinator for our wedding and helped make the day run as smooth as it possibly could be. People that know me, know that I care greatly about reviews. My family actually has a running joke about me because I'm always looking at them when making decisions for food or places to visit or companies with services. So when I found this company at the Bridal Expo in LA and saw all the amazing reviews on Yelp and Google...I decided to go with them. Booking was really easy/professional. The website was easy to use....but it all went south the day before our wedding. The DJ called me around 6pm the night before my wedding to go over everything. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt that she wanted to just solidify things but I thought it was weird she was calling me the night before my wedding when I had spent hours entering info about the wedding on their online client portal....I also planned to sing a song to my mother and had emailed the karaoke version to my wedding coordinator and the owner email...the DJ had the audacity to tell me she didn't have it, that she already downloaded a version of the song that she found and that after we ended the call that I could listen to the version she downloaded and if I didn't like it then to let her know and THEN she would download my version...well he version wasn't in the key I needed so I texted her to please download the one I wanted. NO RESPONSE. So the day of my wedding I'm having to text the DJ to confirm she has the song....anyway the day of the wedding comes along...and it was horrible. The DJ was dressed in casual clothes like she was leaving the beach...not even a dress when this was a formal event. She played the wrong ceremony song to walk down the isle and my husband had to let her know which song to play...she didn't make an announcement to keep the first row of seats clear so people were sitting where the parents of the bride were sitting and my ceremony was delayed as my maid of honor was clearing the seats....Fast forward to the ceremony... the DJ awkwardly announced our bridal party upon entrance of the venue...She pronounced my mothers name wrong 3 times despite me telling her how to pronounce it the night before. She PLAYED THE WRONG FIRST DANCE SONG. She didn't have ANY of the cut off times for the songs...she had the audacity to to tell me to look at her and to touch my nose when I wanted the song to be cut off for the father daughter dance....Well when I went to look at her, she wasn't paying attention....and I couldn't get her attention so one of my guests had to. Then she barely played any of the songs we had added to our list on the online portal. I can't even begin to express how upset I was. The very next day my husband and I called and spoke to the owner. He was very professional and did exactly what an owner should do...he gave us a full refund...$300 towards our honeymoon and he offered to personally DJ for us for a one year anniversary party at no cost to us....it was very nice of him. My issue is that we can't have our wedding over again. We don't have $35,000 to have another magical venue like we did....and we had guests flying in from all over the US and some from out of the country. I was literally in tears. It's like you can't even make this up as ALL of our guests were witness to what happened and it's not like something behind the scenes or something you could brush under the table. I absolutely cannot give 5/5 stars despite the owner's understanding because we can't go back in time. I'm never one to be mean or malicious so I'm not giving 1/5 stars either. I'm just disappointed how things transpired and I have to speak from my heart . It was actually really hard for me to read the reviews on here knowing that I had thoroughly read many of them before booking but my experience is like none of them. read more

These guys are amateurs. They ruined our wedding memories. First the wedding planner was swapped at the last moment and was completely useless. She had no idea what to do and was absent when needed.We had a wonderful ceremony and reception but you would never know it from the video they provided. They provided small clips of the ceremony cutting out most of it . We had several wonderful speeches at our reception but they recorded bits and pieces from afar . All we had was a few short clips of some speeches you could barely hear. I tried to get the raw video and our pictures but they provided a link which took forever to download and it was nothing but short clips. The photos were there but you had to go and download everyone separately. They did not even try to provide the pictures and full video in a convenient way to obtain. read more

He is very supportive and goes out of his way to make your event that much more special and less stressful. This is an honest review for a paid customer. Michael truly went above and beyond for our wedding. We booked a Photo Booth with Michael. From the beginning he was responsive, professional and extremely courteous. He also was the best price when I was shopping around. He made things easy for us as he coordinated with our wedding planner. His associate showed up on time on the day of the event and was exactly as described. The printer went down during the wedding, so after the event was over Michael printed a copy for each guest that was in each photo (~600+ photos) and overnighted them to us. We included them in our thank you letters and it ended up being perfect. Michael is truly a professional and really cares about the reputation of his business.
