They orchestrated an over-the-top production that blew the crowd away. It was not just because the pyrotechnics, smoke effects, photobooth, huge video screen, or talented design (though those things all helped), but it was their professionalism, communication, and legitimate desire to create something great. I can't believe our fortune in finding them. We'll only get married once, but if I ever need DJ services, they are no doubt the perfect company. I cannot recommend them enough!

He's a pro and really knows how to "read the room" well, sensing when to play quieter music (while we were all first arriving and while we were eating) and upbeat, fun dance music when the time was right. Communication by text, email and phone leading up to the event was great. He made me feel very confident that everything would go smoothly. As the event organizer with a lot of pressure on my shoulders, he really put my mind at ease with his professionalism. He arrived early to set up and was ready to go at the start of the party. As for the music, he gave us the opportunity to provide a playlist in advance and also allow party attendees to request songs. In the end we just decided to trust him to create the playlist himself based on our overall theme for the party, age group of the attendees and our general likes/dislikes. His choices were perfect. Everyone had a great time at the party! Thank you, DJ Javila, for bringing your friendly, enthusiastic personality and great music to our event!

I cannot…read moreunderscore this enough - Greg was truly an integral part of making our wedding the best day of our lives! From thoughtful planning to quick communication to flawless execution (music, lighting, photobooth), we couldn't have asked for a better partner. Greg was on point with every song selected - not to mention he's a wonderful MC. We came to Greg with a vision for our wedding reception - once the dance floor opened, we wanted our reception to be a real PARTY. We wanted every song to be a "banger." We wanted everyone on the dancefloor until the lights turned back on. As inspiration, I shared an 11 hour playlist with Greg; the playlist spanned decades of music and covered multiple genres. Greg's expertise is unparalleled, and somehow he interpreted this messy mind dump of songs and delivered a set list that was beyond anything we could have imagined. And, I want to be clear, this wasn't a copy / paste job. It didn't feel like the standard wedding mix. Greg mixed in his magic and developed a curated list of songs that kept our guests on the dancefloor for 3 hours straight. Each song was better than the last. It was amazing!!! Greg also helped us navigate the music and vibes for the cocktail hour and dinner period. We hadn't put much consideration into this aspect of planning. We very much appreciated his advice. The music created a welcoming and fun ambiance for us and our guests. I'd also recommend hiring a saxophonist (Greg can source!). We had the sax player during cocktail hour and dinner and our guests loved that touch. In summary, Greg & team were INCREDIBLE and exceeded expectations across the board

You will not be disappointed, these guys are legit. They are everything you desire in doing business with a vendor for your special occasion. I will always be grateful for them making my event a very successful one. Thank you!

We worked with Anthony, the owner of the company and our DJ for our wedding night. Throughout the entire planning process, Anthony was able to follow up with us and make sure we had all of our song selections ready to go for wedding day. The month leading up to our wedding was a stressful one, as we were so busy planning last minute details, but Anthony was so patient with us. He had no problem accommodating all of my last minute song changes (and I had several!) We met with Anthony virtually a week or two before our wedding and he guided us through our song choices. He gives you the option to choose songs for your reception playlist, but that was a challenge for us, so instead he just asked us what genres we liked (and didn't like) and went from there. On our actual wedding day, Anthony's song choices were perfect! He has a great way of reading the crowd, something you can only find in a true professional, and our dance floor was PACKED the entire night. I also have to mention how flawless our wedding ceremony was. Anthony was amazing at blending our ceremony processional songs perfectly so that 1) our family, 2) our bridal party and then 3) me and my dad's walk down the aisle was just beautiful. No awkward pauses or lapses in music. Everything was just a dream, and I will recommend Anthony and Hill Country DJ over and over again!

I got married in July 2025 and honestly regret not writing this review sooner. I'm writing it now…read morebecause I still think about how badly the music was handled, which is frustrating considering music was one of the most important parts of our wedding. I made it extremely clear during planning that I'm a huge music person and had very specific requests. I spent hours filling out planning documents, curating playlists, and even going through the 200 most common wedding songs list crossing out all the songs we absolutely did not want played. Despite that effort, many of those exact songs were played anyway. He also completely missed our first dance by going straight into reception music instead of starting the song we had planned. When we tried to correct it, my husband and I were left standing awkwardly in the middle of the dance floor while he searched for the song. He insisted he didn't have the correct version, which wasn't true. I had to walk over to the booth myself, find the song on his system, and point it out to him so we could finally start. It was incredibly awkward and not the moment any couple wants during their first dance. Other issues included, ignoring our "do not play" list, refusing requests from close family members, arguing loudly with our wedding planner in front of guests, playing our requested last dance song randomly during the reception, then ending the night with "Don't Stop Believin'", which was explicitly listed as a DO NOT PLAY song. Right before our private last dance he even came over to ask if he had the correct song available, which didn't exactly inspire confidence. The only part of the music that went well was cocktail hour, because it was simply my Spotify playlist playing straight through. At the end of the day, I could have run Spotify myself and had a better outcome while saving the money. If music is important to you for your wedding, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Cam communicated with me early on, and called me while he was on vacation to discuss our event (bonus points!!). He listened closely to the type of event and attendees, music we like/don't like, and created this incredible playlist and experience. Cocktails and dinner had a backdrop of southern/Austin tunes, and then Cam turned it up big time for dancing, combining traditional party favorites and fun (not cheesy) line dances. Everyone was on the dancefloor, getting into it and laughing (and dance battling - that was a first!). Cam was an absolute pleasure to work with before, during, and after. It's too bad he was working that party because he's got such a great energy we would have loved to have him JOIN in the fun. Thanks, Cam, our group really loved your energy and fantastic tunes. 10/10 would hire him again for a corporate or special event, in Austin or otherwise! Great work. Thank you!
