Dizzy Crab is the 3rd of these similar restaurants in Florence this one across street from Ollie's. Upon entry you immediately see the vibe that is going on here, the waitresses are all dressed in booty shorts w skimpy tops cleavage all in your face, I got immediate Hooter's dejavu. Seating is high top tables around one side and other side is bar with stage at back for musicians or miscellaneous. Waitress tells me music starts at 10 till 2am, one of only places in Florence open past 9pm. The menu has the most variety of two other similar restaurants in Flo, steak, po boy, bag boil, crab, pasta, soup, prices are reasonable. I went with Grouper Po-boy wifey w shrimp/crawfish boil bag. Mine was pretty good , she said hers was too oily but she did eat most of it. Note: plain rice is not a side only rice pilaf for all you rice fans. Bahama Mama mixed drink strong refreshing. 4% charge if paying with credit card, written in small print on menus. I would give it another try or two to sample steak or for cocktails. A total dive bar, and trust me, I love a good dive bar. Food is all frozen and then fried, bland at best.

The last three times I've been to dizzy crab, my steak has been overcooked. Each time the replacement came over 10 mins later and it still wasn't correctly cooked. Just going to take a break from ordering it for a while. read more

I have tried almost every steak in Florence. I am pretty picky. The ribeye here is excellent. Yes this is a crab house. I know it doesn't seem right ordering a steak at a crab house. We are also not located anywhere near where you going to get fresh crab. The steak is excellent. My only fault with it does come with a salad. My daughter has order the blackened Shrimp alfredo and it was great as well. read more

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. The Service was beyond terrible Every single one of the staff was rude. Drinks and food was disgusting. The ambiance was awful I wouldn't even recommend this place to someone I hated. The owner was so nasty he was hitting on and touching girls around the bar. Went to eat while in town on business. Started with an order of calamari, I should've taken a picture but for $13 I think I had maybe 13 pieces of calamari and they were all Shitty small pieces that had a very fishy taste. I should've known better but I ordered the shrimp Poboy for dinner. This was $15 and I don't think it even had 15 shrimp, very Small and greasy. The bread was OK, but there was so much bread and the shrimp were so small. The ratio sucked. Apparently one of the managers or other bartenders was sitting at the bar drinking with her friends. She's the one who went and got my Tab as the bartender was nowhere to be found. I had my credit card set out. She brought me back a cc slip for $32.03. No receipt was provided other than this credit card slip so I asked for an itemized copy. The total on the itemized copy was $30.80. When I asked about the discrepancy and an extra copy, I was told that was the credit card fee yet there was nowhere posted About any credit card fee. And it was not on the itemized receipt.. Double check your receipts because they are arbitrarily charging additional amounts that do not match the itemized receipts. I would not go back the food sucked and the bartender/employees at the bar Could care less about the bar patrons. read more

It's a college student felling type of place. I think the food is decent and the place is clean. The servers are nice.

When I walked in i was greeted by a pleasant young lady who offered me a menu since I had my child w/ me and wanted it to go but as I sat at the table I saw another employee that was hugged up with another employee maybe a manager touching and rubbing on this girl and she look like she could be his daughter... he gave me a side eye because my son was making noise in the restaurant playing in the ice with no gloves and went to the back and told the other employees something after he came out and looked at me again but the food had my stomach hurt terribly and I'm definitely not going back... 0/10 read more

The service is lackluster at best and that is being generous. The place only has bar stools for all of its seating, which is not conducive to people that may have special needs or someone whose height makes it difficult. As for the food, it was okay, but for the price and portion you'd do better going somewhere else. Also, our food didn't come out together, it took another 5 minutes for it to be served.They did not have unsweetened tea, only small 8oz bottles of in-chilled water and the menu states "juice," but that is only fruit punch and lemonade. Went to this location for the very first time today. When we initially walked in, no one greeted us. After about 5-7mins a woman sitting at the bar told us to just seat ourselves. I ordered snow crabs, mussels and eggs but when it came there was a dead bug in my bag. I immediately notified the waitress and she l offered to get it made over and apply a discount but never did. The prices have increased by a huge amount comparable to what they used to be. I used to love Dizzy, but the QUALITY and the amount of the food isn't worth it anymore for the jacked up prices they have since gone to. read more

Dizzy is the best! Amazing food, great service, and it's just a fun place overall. The live music on the weekends is awesome and there is something on the menu for everyone, even if you aren't a big seafood person. 10/10 recommend. read more

First time visiting on a Friday night. Service was severely lacking. It was at least 10 minutes before our drink orders were taken. I had to ask twice for a dinner menu and then them bartender sarcastically said " I heard you the first time" but she made no indication that she heard. She never smiled once at us, but she treated her regular's much better. My colleague and I both ordered the salmon. It was delicious! Maybe the best I ever had. They had a solo artist singing and he was very good. We had several drinks and enjoyed visiting with the other patrons. We just had a very poor experience with the bartender. read more

0 Stars I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. If you plan to join them for the holiday this weekend just forget it. Terrible food and customer service is A dumpster fire. This resturaunt is absolutely the bottom of the barrel. I drove 6 hours ordered my food 30 min before arrival only to have to sit and wait at the bar while the bartender took shots. I politely I told one of them I was there for my pick up. I was told me to hold on while one took shots and the other continuously ignored me. Finally after 15 more min of waiting one of them grabbed order off the counter BEHIND her and practically tossed the order and my receipt at me. I then looked at the receipt to find that the price that was given over the phone was completely different then what was on the receipt. I anxiously waited and called for their attention for another 10 minutes. It was so bad another customer waiting by the bar had to tell them I had been waiting. One then turned to say one moment and proceeded to ignore me for another 10 min. Now I'm annoyed! I walk around to the other side of the bar near the kitchen and where the servers pick up their drinks. finally getting ones attention. One of the bartenders turned to me super annoyed at me and asked what the problem was I said this doesn't seem right she then proceeded to explain the extra charge which I said I see that but again with tax and the gratuity charge this was still well over priced. She rolled her eyes and said I can get you an itemized receipt I said sure. I waited another 5 minutes for the break down and then I was fed up I asked to speak with a manager. She then took another 15 to print out the reciept and told me the manger was coming several times. After the manager took to long I finally got pissed Paid for the near $135 order and left. I told them I would be calling the next day. I arrived home only to find the crablegs we're old and the food was cold. I called back 9 times that night after 10pm when they close at 2pm and no one answered the phone. I called the next day and spoke with a different young lady who observed the entire thing. She took my name number and email and said they would be in touch. I explained I didn't live in the area and I drove 6 hours to get home to an order I was very unsatisfied with. I gave her my relatives phone number who lived in the area and where I was staying. She assured me it would be handled and refunded. I have been calling just about every week since and everytime there is either no answer, they tell me to call back or the owner, kitchen manager or resturaunt manager is not there. I WILL NEVER Eat here again. Terrible customer service and management. read more

The food here was awesome! I ordered the Dizzy Burger and Crab cakes and it is a must try. The burger was loaded with lobster meat and the crab cakes taste like I'm back home in Maryland. Can't wait to eat here again my next trip to Florence! read more
