They were made from Broccoli Bits that were wrapped in flavored cornmeal and fried. I had the Mint Julep and the Bourbon Smash as cocktails. The Bourbon Smash was a special made with Bourbon and smashed Maraschino Cherries and a dash of Cherry Juice. It was very refreshing. My partner had the Lemon Blueberry Mojito which was also a perfect drink for a hot summer day. Our meals consisted of the Seafood Pasta and the Barramundi. The Seafood Pasta was a large bowl filled with pasta, shrimp and scallops. The Barramundi was a nice sized piece of white flaky fish that was seasoned just right. Our calamari was under cooked and some of the flower was sticky and gooey the result of under cooking. The lobster roll....was just ok ...nothing to write home about . On a roll about 5" long with some lobster meat . The baby back ribs ..SOME OF THE WORST i have had. Definitely not flaking off the bone. As a matter of fact they were dry and chewey. Great service but food needs some work. We ordered Tomato Basil Crab Bisque and that was great. However the Ruben sandwich was soggy with what little sauerkraut was present and the tiramisu was more like a very heavy pudding thing. We went during lunch time. It was not busy. The dinner time service might be better. Our service person was awesome and friendly. We made sure to leave her a more than generous cash tip. In part due to the coleslaw garnish making the batter on shrimp soggy. And a little overpriced for size of serving. Everything was amazing!!! Met my daughter there for lunch after a stressful morning in traffic court. We had the perfect lunch. Three Stars because of kitchen fail. My wife and I came on our anniversary. As soon as we get into the door I let the hostess know it's a very special occasion and could we have a special table. Mind you I had not made any sort of reservation, but she wanted to put us by the door! I had to ask for one of the several open tables in the front facing the road. The interior is very nice and well appointed with loads of comfort! Once we got a nice seat the server was with us quick to take our drink orders. I can not recommend enough a big draft from the bar to start the meal off. Our entrees were the Chicken Montego and Pear and Gorgonzola salad. Mine was well prepared with a nice Polynesian dipping sauce. The fries were a little week with the order being kind of small. The salad was not prepared correctly, initially it came out with no chicken which our server should have caught, but I am ok with missing one thing. Then my wife realized there was no dressing either. It seems to me the kitchen is either in need of additional training or maybe other jobs. It's my second time coming here. Very quiet place with good food. Very nice dining but not so nice that i felt the need to remove my hat. I had the chicken pasta, chicken was seasoned great and the sauce was nice and light. My date had the shrimp and grits. I couldn't tell you how it was because I'm allergic and would probably die. First time here. I ordered the salmon and shrimp and the salmon was perfect, without too much seasoning which it didn't need anyway. I could only tolerate 3 of the 4 shrimp, however, due to a particular seasoning that my palate revolted from. (A side sauce that was included was entirely too salty for my palate and also for my companion's palate who enjoys salt much more than I do. Whatever it was will remain a mystery since all I could taste was salt and high blood pressure.) The broccoli was green and flavorful on its own, and the salad (at additional cost with sautéed entrees) was fine but small for the additional $5 in my opinion. The atmosphere was really nice with the soft jazz in the background and the simple clean lines of the decor. Greeted by friendly hostesses and waitress, I loved the spaciousness and the modern rustic feel of the place. The rating I'm offering reflects an 'okay' for the value. Next time I'm there, I won't order seafood anything since my partner's lobster roll was bland according to him, my shrimp was meh, and the 5 mini crab cake appetizer at $12 was SO mini could hardly taste them. The people there, though, very nice and professionally attentive! I'd love to offer a 4 but I'm not sure if I'm a fan yet. (Maybe?) This is a new, albeit delicious, spot that I would definitely go to again. A girl friend and I went to dinner here recently. I was worried about getting a table because it's a newer place and I was told it may be difficult. We got the the restaurant around 8:30 pm and were sat eat away. The hostess reviewed the specials with us, which was nice. Our server was not if drinking age, so she was unable to answer any of our booze-related questions. However, both of us were more than satisfied with our choices. I had a Grey Goose martini, extra dirty, and my friend had the pineapple sake sangria, which she also enjoyed. For appetizer, we had the stuffed mushrooms, which were good but not the best I've ever had. For dinner, I had one of the specials--the grouper piccata--and my friend had the seafood pasta. Both were cooked to perfection (no overcooked seafood). I did find one bone in my grouper, which was disappointing, but other than that it was delicious. We thought about getting dessert but I definitely had my eye on that key lime pie. Next time! All in all, I definitely enjoyed myself. The food was good, the service was good, and I can't wait to go back and try a few more things on the menu! It's a classier spot for Hartsville so I would say, dress up a little!
