We got the crab cake platter, blackened catfish platter, honey pecan chicken roll, crab cake…read moresandwich, and the white russian pecan pie. After having the crab cake sandwich we would recommend doing the platter because the bread overpowers the crab cake. Everything was incredible, the flavors, consistency, and quality. It is for sure comfort food but nothing sits heavy and feels super fresh. Not a fan of coleslaw but it was super yummy and great corn fritters for our first time having them. Service was great. Ambiance was super informal and adds to the vibe of what you're eating. Also unrelated but the cashier/server has a super calming energy/presence/voice which totally added to the vibe

Came with slaw, 1x Side (Collard Greens: sweet vinegar with some heat, and a bit of pork, really good!), and some AMAZING Hushpuppies (fresh, sweet corn bread). Shrimp & Grits: Fantastic! Buttery and cheesy grits with sausage and nice shrimp (not over-cooked or chewy). Green beans were slightly too soft (30-mins until closing), but good comfort food. Coleslaw was "meh," but a good, crunchy foil to the fish and rice. Counter Service (order at register, then they bring to table/to-go) was quite fast, given that they had to cook the fish and prep foods for take-out. Everything looked clean, staff was nice, and owner was talking to everyone. Didn't get to try the variety of desserts, but they looked and smelled great. Traveling, but worth the stop!

**A Comfortable Visit to Panera Bread - Florence, SC**…read more I stopped by the Panera Bread on David H McLeod Boulevard recently for a quiet breakfast, and while the experience had its charms, there's certainly room for this location to shine a bit brighter. I ordered the Ham Croissant Benny - Black Forest ham with scrambled egg and cheesy benedict sauce nestled in a flaky, buttery croissant. The flavors melded. That croissant had good texture, and the benedict sauce added a nice richness. My only small disappointment was that it could have benefited from a bit more time on the sandwich press - the center was a touch cool when I bit in. Still, the taste was there, and I enjoyed every bite. The Bold coffee was... well, coffee. It did its job and paired nicely with breakfast, though I wouldn't call it particularly memorable. Sometimes that's just fine when you need a reliable cup. What I appreciated most was the relaxed atmosphere. This is an older Panera location, and it shows its age a bit - the space could use some freshening up here and there. But honestly? The quieter pace was a blessing. I never felt hurried, and I was able to spread out some paperwork and take my time without feeling like I was overstaying my welcome. There's something to be said for that kind of comfortable, unhurried dining experience. I've always loved Panera's aesthetic - that inviting combination of stone and wood creates such a warm environment. This Florence location has good bones and that classic Panera feel. With a little TLC, it could really be something special again. The bottom line: If you're looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy a decent breakfast without the hustle and bustle, this Panera fits the bill. Just maybe double-check that your sandwich is heated through before you settle in.

I ordered a large soda and two bagels on my app. Cup and bagels were ready on counter when we arrived, bagels still warm. Diet Pepsi in stock which seems to be an issue at all the Paneras around me. Without fail, the food is absolutely delicious every single time. Some of our favorites are the chicken wings and the veggie soup with rice noodles, but honestly, we don't believe you could go wrong ordering anything on the menu. You can tell that the food is homemade and prepared with care--and, without a doubt, with love. But as wonderful as the food is, what makes Pho An Vietnamese truly special is the family behind it. Their daughter, Lori, has made us feel welcome from the very beginning. From the first time she greeted us with that beautiful smile, we loved her! She has such a warm and caring personality, and the service she provides is always outstanding. She doesn't make you feel like you are simply a customer walking into a restaurant--she makes you feel like you are coming to visit family. And that same warmth can be felt throughout the entire restaurant. This family truly cares about the people who walk through their doors. After coming here for over a year, we have experienced the same wonderful food, excellent service, kindness, and genuine appreciation every single time. There are plenty of restaurants where you can get a good meal, but it is rare to find a place where you leave with both a full stomach and a full heart. To Lori and the entire family at Pho An Vietnamese: thank you for the wonderful meals, the smiles, the conversations, and most of all, for always treating us like family. Your hard work and love for what you do certainly do not go unnoticed. You deserve every bit of praise and success that comes your way. We are so thankful we found your restaurant, and we look forward to many more meals with our Pho An family! Highly, highly recommended! Rachelle and Stu

I wish Yelp did 1/2 star ratings, Because this is a solid 3 1/2 star. Had to round it up because…read moreit was more than 3. Dude that said "best pho on the planet" is either somehow affiliated with the business, or has never been to Vietnam hahaha It's Saturday around 3:00 p.m., and I am the only customer in the entire restaurant. That's typically a red flag for me, but there's so many good reviews about this place on multiple platforms. So I'll get the cons out of the way. They were out of fish sauce, they don't have chili sauce, and they don't have Thai basil! This is the very first pho place I've been to in my life that doesn't have basil. They had cilantro, and I've gotten cilantro and basil in the past so that was kind of disappointing. I ordered fresh spring rolls as an appetizer. They were so so. Not my favorite, but better than some places I've been to. I ordered the deluxe combination pho. I always try the broth, virgin before adding sauces. I will tell you this, this broth was off the chain! Man was it good! The meats were pretty good. The tendon was so tender it was like taking a bite of Jell-O. I didn't have much tripe, not really a whole whole lot of meat all together, but it wasn't like skimpy. But I did have a ton of noodles. So if you order a big bowl, you won't leave hungry. My waitress was nice and attentive, but then again it's kind of hard since I'm the only person in there! Hahaha! I only had water with lime, because they don't have lemons either, so my total was around $27 with the pho and spring roll appetizer. I've eaten Vietnamese all over the country, although this place is pretty decent, it doesn't make my top 10. Definitely good enough to come back to though! ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. Then we were there for an hour and a half soup, salad, breadsticks, and a plate of pasta. Zero refills on the soup had to ask a few times for a refill on the salad and other drinks and then just gave up. The waiter seems to be the only waiter in the entire establishment, running around like mad, taking care of everyone. But then here came the server manager, she introduced herself as the server manager - how is your server? We said he's absolutely swamped. She agreed, and then began to explain to us how busy they were and how she knew they would be overly worked. That's great - but as the server manager, when your servers are overworked, when your first reaction be to step in and help them? Overall, the food was mediocre as usual, the service was not great - but again not the servers fault.
